Abstract: A control system for a laundry washing machine with a horizontal wash drum detects load imbalance in the drum and selects a proper rotation speed for the drum in a water extraction operation. A drive controller for the motor turning the drum detects a phase angle variation in the drive voltage and drive current applied to the motor as an indication of the load imbalance in the drum, and determines whether the detected load imbalance falls in one of a plurality of pre-defined load-imbalance zones. The drive controller then provides a signal indicating the detected imbalance zone to a machine controller of the washing machine. The machine controller selects a proper rotation speed for the extraction operation based on the detected imbalance zone, or alternatively initiates a load-redistribution operation to reduce the load imbalance.

Abstract: The discharge print paste formulation contains synthetic layered silicate as a carrier and thickening agent, one or more bleaching agents selected from sodium hypochlorite and hydrogen peroxide, water and optionally sodium hydroxide and discharges color when applied to washable color fast natural fabric (cotton, linen) or washable synthetic and permanent press fabric. The discharge print paste formulation is applied to the fabric. The treated fabric is dried at room temperature, washed and dried to get a pattern of discharged color where the discharge print paste formulation is applied.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a novel composition of dye baths or processing baths and a process for tinting, dyeing or doping of moulded components with functional additives in these aqueous dipping baths or processing baths. The moulded components contain transparent or translucent (co)polyamides. If the moulded components should be tinted or dyed according to an embodiment of the invention, the dyeing can be performed as homogeneous dyeing or as gradient dyeing. The process according to the present invention is particularly suitable for producing high-value objects like ophthalmic lenses, sun lenses for eyeglasses, magnifying glasses, all kinds of inspection glasses, polarization films and display films, particularly if changing depths of color (gradients) are desired. This generating of a dyeing gradient requires dyeing in a dipping process, whereby the desired depth of color is achieved by multiple times of dipping the surface areas of the moulded article in the dye bath.

Abstract: The cushion according to one embodiment is a deformable resilient apparatus with a surface for allowing various vehicles to transverse from a first surface to a second surface that are separated by an obstacle without damaging the obstacle. The cushion deforms to fit the space between the vehicle and the obstacle, thereby preventing concentration of stress on the obstacle. The cushion is constructed such that it does not slide out of place when engaged by tracks or wheels of a vehicle. The cushion is constructed to deform and distribute the force applied by the vehicle onto the object more uniformly.
