Abstract: A protective cover for a space suit, suitable for use in lunar or Mars visits which provides protection to the space suit against dust and organic contaminants while withstanding the rigors of contact with lunar or Martian rocks and equipment and not degrade or tear. The cover can be easily donned and doffed without contaminating the space suit. High strength coated fabrics which are functional in the thermal extremes of the lunar and Mars environments are suitable materials for the protective covers.

Abstract: User-friendly welding helmet assembly configurations to be worn on the head of a weldor are disclosed. The welding helmet assembly configurations include various advanced features including a spatter shield that is easily replaceable from an external front portion of a shell of the helmet assembly configuration, and an adjustable ratchet headgear within the shell having a repositionable lever adapted to easily adjust a detent position of the ratchet headgear with respect to the shell. Other user-friendly features are also provided, in accordance with various embodiments of the present invention.

Abstract: A baseball glove includes a glove body having palm and back side panels which are interconnected to form a hand-receiving pocket that includes finger sections. The back side panel has a through hole below one of the finger sections, and a lacing provided along a periphery of the through hole. The through hole is adapted for extension of a player's index finger therethrough so as to dispose the index finger out of the glove body. A finger-limiting rib unit projects from the back side panel, and surrounds the lacing in a spaced apart relationship. The finger-limiting rib unit has a limiting portion disposed above the lacing and adapted to prevent the player's index finger from slipping on the back side panel.

Abstract: A baseball glove includes a glove body having back and palm sections, thumb and finger pockets, and a web bridging the thumb and finger pockets. The palm section has a thumb's ball area, a hypothenar area, a heel area, and a ball-catching region formed between the thumb's ball and hypothenar areas and above the heel area. At least one restraining rib is provided on the palm section, and bounds partially the ball-catching region. The restraining rib is adapted to prevent a caught ball from slipping off the ball-catching region, and extends between the ball-catching region and the thumb's ball area, between the ball-catching region and the heel area, and between the ball-catching region and the hypothenar area. The ball-catching region is unbounded at one side of the ball-catching region opposite to the restraining rib.

The cape including a neck portion adapted to be secured to the user at a neck. The cape further including an outer edge spaced from the neck portion to cover the user and extend over the sink, a plurality of holes formed in the cape to adapt to the sink and a connector to hold the cape on the sink. The connector may be a magnet fastener, a drain ring to secure the cape to the drain hole, adhesive backed tape or hook and loop material.

One illustrative embodiment is a system for attaching a decorative accessory to a wearable item, the system comprising a shaft having first and second ends; a first shoulder secured to the first end of the shaft, the first shoulder being configured for insertion through an expandable hole in the wearable item and configured to engage an inner surface of the wearable item; a second shoulder secured to the second end of the shaft, the second shoulder being configured to engage the wearable item; and a third shoulder adjacent to the second shoulder, the third shoulder comprising the decorative accessory.

Abstract: The present invention is an article of clothing, such as a glove, formed with a flexible, moldable material section forming one or more of the portions of the article of clothing. The moldable sections utilized in constructing the article of clothing are formed in a molding process which allows for the formation of the sections in a desired shape and/or with various function-enhancing members integrally on the moldable portions. In addition, the molding process for forming the moldable sections can be used to bond the moldable sections to the other non-moldable sections used in the construction of the article of clothing.

Abstract: The motorcycle jacket is an article of apparel for providing protection while riding and a lightweight, attractive street jacket for casual wear when not riding. The motorcycle jacket includes a jacket shell having a rear panel and a split front panel, the shell defining arm openings and being adapted for covering the shoulders and torso. A pair of sleeves extend from the arm openings. The split front panel includes a releasable fastener, such as a zipper, for closing the front panel. At least the sleeves have a lining formed of an abrasion resistant fabric. The elbows have pockets inside the sleeves that removably receive protective foam pads, and a protective foam pad for the spine is removably disposed adjacent the rear panel on the inside of the jacket shell. The spine pad is attached to a flexible panel of abrasion resistant fabric, either directly or by being placed in a pocket or pouch formed on the panel, the panel being secured to the shell by releasable fasteners.

To further improve the habit the wristband may also carry an indicia such a word to further cognitively remind the wearer of the habit to be improved.

Abstract: An open toe stocking is provided. The stocking includes a body with a foot engaging portion having a heel area. Abstract: A containment chamber and associated methods for use in, e.g., a toilet or other solid or fluid carrying structure. In one embodiment, the containment chamber comprises input and output portions, and is configured to move liquids and solids between an inlet port and an outlet port. The chamber is further configured to fill to a prescribed volume level, and has at least one shaped portion to prevent backflow (e.g., of odor) associated with the liquids and solids. A first nozzle is disposed in the containment chamber and configured to break-up the solids using a prescribed pressure level to propel the liquids and the solids from an input portion through the output portion of the containment chamber. A velocity increasing structure is disposed between the output portion and the outlet port and configured to increase an effective velocity of the liquids and solids.

Abstract: A low volume hygienic apparatus used a high pressure spray to break up solid waste material in a containment chamber and to push liquid and broken-up solid waste from the containment chamber. A high pressure nozzle is pointed into the containment chamber and configured to break-up the solids using a prescribed pressure level and to propel the liquids and the broken-up solids from a chamber interior through a chamber outlet of the containment chamber. Abstract: Disclosed is a wave pool for creating multiple surf-able waves when a wave generating device forces water into a first end of the wave pool. The wave pool includes a first deep area adjacent the end of the wave pool having the wave generating device. It is followed by a first artificial reef that creates a first shallow area that causes a swell created by the wave generating device to become a first surf-able wave. This is followed by a second deep area that causes the first surf-able wave to revert to a swell. A second artificial reef creates a second shallow area causing the swell to become a second surf-able wave. A basin and swash area follows the second artificial reef for dissipating the remaining energy of the second surf-able wave. An optional set of edge shallows can extend substantially the length of the wave pool to create a surf-able curling wave along each side of the wave pool.

Abstract: A floating debris capture device and method which can be employed by those who have a normal pool cover which does not have a debris capture system. The device is located under the side regions of a floating pool cover, where debris is either washed or swept from the cover as it's reeled onto a spool during the cover removal operation. The device comprises a floating frame and a mesh screen. Extending from the side of the device adjacent to the pool wall is a positioning wing flap, which serves to anchor the device to the corner edge of a pool, and retain the device in proper position to catch debris as a pool cover is rolled up onto a spool.

The positioning system includes a fine positioning subsystem coupled to the patient support and adapted to position the patient support with fine precision along the X-axis; and a coarse positioning subsystem coupled to the fine positioning subsystem and adapted to position the patient support with coarse precision along the X-axis. In an embodiment, the fine positioning subsystem and the coarse positioning subsystem are a dual-stage drive positioning system, with the first drive including a screw mechanism and the second drive including a prime mover. In an embodiment, a programmer is provided for configuring the fine positioning subsystem to align the patient support based on a velocity profile.
