Abstract: A vehicle seat, which prevents a passenger from sitting thereon in an uncomfortable seat state is provided. An interference bar is received in receiving hole formed in the headrest. The interference bar extends from the receiving hole when the headrest is rotated forward in the seat back. When the headrest is fully rotated to face the front side of the seat back, the interference bar extends in the forward direction of the vehicle seat. Thus, the interference bar protruded from the receiving hole interferes with the back of the passenger and thereby prevents the passenger from sitting on the seat in the uncomfortable seat state.

Abstract: A stator has four or more magnetic poles. A commutator has a plurality of segments arranged in the circumferential direction and a short-circuit conductor for short-circuiting predetermined segments from among these segments. Each segment has an angular width WS, and there is a gap of an angular width WU between the segments. A substantial angular width WB of each of an anode brush and a cathode brush satisfies (n?1)(WS+WU)+WU<WB<n(WS+WU)+WU, where n is an integer no less than two. A plurality of coils are each connected to the corresponding one of the segments in order to form n closed loops. The closed loops each pass through the corresponding segments and are electrically independent of each other.

Signals that are delivered to each of a plurality of hypersonic transducer elements are adjusted in phase so that transmitted hypersonic signals are focused at a focal point anywhere in space. The focal point of a focused hypersonic beam may be used to scan a space of interest when used in a receive mode in a pinging process. When objects are detected, a focused hypersonic beam may be used to deliver audible information substantially only to a neighborhood of the detected object.

The piezoelectric motor includes a piezoelectric member which generates a first vibration mode and a second vibration mode simultaneously by an applied power and a frictional member of which a portion is insertedly attached into a concave portion indentedly formed on one side of the piezoelectric member, wherein the frictional member is in an elliptic motion by the vibration generated by the piezoelectric member, so that an influence of the attachment of the frictional member to a resonance frequency can be minimized. Accordingly, a driving efficiency of the piezoelectric motor can be improved. In addition, attachment strength of the frictional member can be improved.
