Abstract: The wind generating device of the present invention employs modules each having two turbines. Each of the turbines employs two rotors coaxially aligned by a shaft associated with an in-line generator. Alternatively, the turbine employs only one rotor for low wind areas. The arrangement includes a proximal channel with a leading portion having decreasing radius toward the first rotor which acts as a collector and a following portion connecting fluidly the first and second rotor and a distal channel which is separate from the proximal channel and opens into the following portion thereby adding to the airflow to the second rotor. Downstream from the second rotor is a diffuser with radius increasing with distance from the rotor. The invention includes means for mounting modules vertically stacked which allows for yaw responsive to wind. The device further includes means to mount the modules on a tower.

Abstract: The present invention is to drive a hydraulic pump and a generator motor by an engine, electrically charge a battery by a generator operation of the generator motor, and assist the engine through driving the generator motor by electric power of the battery. On the premise of the configuration above, when a deviation between a target rotation speed of the engine and an actual rotation speed of the engine is equal to or more than a preset value, and when a residual amount of fuel is equal to or less than a preset value, it is considered to be engine failure or an operation state which is directly connected to the engine failure and an engine assisting action is automatically stopped.

Abstract: The present invention is to drive a hydraulic pump and a generator motor by an engine, to electrically charge a battery by a generator action of the generator motor, and to drive the generator motor by electric power of the battery so as to assist the engine. A governor position is changed by operations of a potentiometer for accelerator and a mode selection switch so as to control rotation speed of the engine. On the premise of the above configuration, generator output is limited by a controller at the time of accelerating the engine until the rotation speed of the engine reaches set speed determined on the basis of the operations of the potentiometer for accelerator and the mode selection switch, and hence engine load is reduced so as to assist acceleration.

Abstract: A B-shaped reinforcement beam is formed from a sheet of material to include vertically spaced upper and lower tubular sections, with a channel-shaped rib formed centrally in the unsupported portion of the front wall over each tube section. The ribs acts to stiffen and stabilize the front wall, causing the actual bending strength of the B beam to be much closer to expected theoretical values. In one form, the ribs have a vertical dimension about 33%-50% of a height of the tubular sections and a depth of about 50%-100% of the rib's height. The rib is particularly effective when the material is less than 2.2 mm, more than 80 KSI, and/or has a significant height-to-depth ratio such as 3:1.

Abstract: The invention discussed above provides a reinforcing element for a lower impact region of a front bumper of a motor vehicle for the protection of pedestrians in case of the impact of a lower leg section against the lower impact region of the front bumper. Here the reinforcing element adjoins the lower region of the front bumper in the direction of travel behind the lower region of the front bumper. The reinforcing element has a base plate with reinforcing ribs attached thereto. It extends substantially in a horizontal direction, approximately across the width of the front bumper. Here for the first time it is proposed that the reinforcing element with its rear end in the longitudinal direction is at least partially supported against a cross strut arranged below the engine compartment. Further, the above invention proposes for the first time a front bumper equipped therewith for a motor vehicle.
