The filter is preferably formed by a convoluter as in one with a roller set and blade cutter to form mirror image fiber filter sheets from a received fiber batt. Provided is a well mixed proper fiber blend, such as one having a set of fibers made of a majority of course fibers joined by way of thermal bonding fibers which facilitate, during convoluting, formation of a crisp cut and high integrity three dimensional surface, as in one of rows of peaks separated by valleys. The projection/recess arrangement over the flow contact surface as well as the thickness and relative projection-to-base dimensions are arranged to provide a high paint holding capacity without too fast a load up of, for example, paint particles and while avoiding too great of a pressure drop within that load up time.

Abstract: In regeneration control of an exhaust gas purification system (1) equipped with NOx occlusion reduction catalyst (11), a decision is made whether operating state of an engine is in a first engine operating range where the exhaust gas temperature is lower than a predetermined mode judgment temperature. If yes, EGR rich control is performed. Otherwise, injection rich control in exhaust pipe is performed. When EGR rich control is performed, a decision is made whether a vehicle is under acceleration or not. If a decision is made that the vehicle is under acceleration, regeneration control is postponed until that decision ends. This enables rich control for regeneration the NOx occlusion reduction catalyst (11), while avoiding deterioration in drivability (comfortableness) during acceleration of the vehicle.

Abstract: A pressure selector valve (13) is provided between a hydraulic motor (1) and a directional control valve (5) to connect one of the main conduits (4A), (4B) on a high pressure side to a high pressure conduit (14) while connecting the other of the main conduits on a low pressure side to a low pressure conduit (15). As an inertial body approaches a stop position, a spool valve (16) is switched to an open position (e), bringing a branch passage (14A) of the high pressure conduit (14) into communication with the low pressure conduit. When the pressure difference between the main conduits becomes small, the pressure selector valve is automatically returned to a neutral position to cut off communication between the main conduits, suppressing a reversing movement of the hydraulic motor so that an inertial body can be brought to a stop smoothly.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an energy source device, which includes a potential energy change device, an energy acquiring device and an object transfer device. The potential energy change device is prefilled with material having density greater than air to enable more than one object having a density smaller than the density of the material to gain potential energy from the density difference between the material and the objects. Furthermore, the objects are moved to the energy acquiring device using the object transfer device, and weight of each of the objects themselves and the principle of kinetic and potential energy transformation are used to acquire a predetermined potential energy difference, which is transformed into energy. Accordingly, basic principles of physics are used to acquire needed energy from the predictable energy produced by buoyancy and gravitational acceleration, thereby achieving environmental protection and meeting the objective of providing economic benefit.

Abstract: A device for fresh-gas supply for a turbocharged, compression-ignition, reciprocating-piston internal-combustion engine is provided. The engine has fresh-gas supply pipe and exhaust gas manifold pipe, between which an EGR device is installed. A tubular inside space section of the fresh-gas supply pipe located downstream of a turbocharger has a compressed-air connection with a volume control device, and a butterfly valve for controlling throughflow. Operation of the butterfly valve is controlled by an electronic control unit of the engine which processes sensor signals. A control valve of the EGR device, which is electronically controlled and controls the exhaust gas throughflow volume, is connected to the electronic control unit for synchronized operation of the butterfly valve with the volume control device.
