Abstract: The invention relates to a process for the manufacture of a shaped part comprising the steps of—forming a stack by stacking (2) or more sheets comprising mono-layers of unidirectional anti-ballistic fibers and a binder followed by placing the stack in a mould, clamping the stack in the mould with a control member closing the mould—consolidating the stack under temperature and pressure into a curved shaped part. The invention furthermore relates to products obtainable with said process, which are very suitable for use in anti-ballistic applications and include e.g. helmets, curved panels, cones and domes.

Abstract: The vest insert for tactical training is an insert kit for retrofitting an outer tactical vest or the like for tactical training purposes. The vest insert includes front and rear training plates adapted to be removably received within front and rear pockets of front and rear carriers of an outer tactical vest. Each of the front and rear training plates has an opening formed therethrough to indicate that the plate is for training purposes. Each of the front and rear training plates is formed from polyvinyl chloride. Additionally, a pair of front and rear fabric panels are provided to replace the inner panels of the outer tactical vest, each of the front and rear fabric panels being formed from woven polyvinyl chloride. The training plates and the front and rear fabric panels are sized and shaped to match the inserts and inner panels of a typical outer tactical vest.

Abstract: A nursing apron for a breastfeeding mother is disclosed. The apron comprises a blanket of sufficiently large size to wrap around an upper portion of the mother's torso, and fixing means arranged so as to retain the blanket around the mother's torso. The fixing means includes first fixing means attached to the blanket at a first end portion of the blanket, and second fixing means attached to the blanket at a second end portion of the blanket. The locations of the first and second fixing means is such that the first and second ends overlap to a sufficient degree during use that the mother's breasts are not exposed whilst the mother is breastfeeding a baby.

Abstract: The inventive women's close-fitting garment for water sports consists of an assembly of extensible and waterproof panels, in particular, containing an elastomer, for example, of a polychloroprene-type, which are assembled along first assembling lines. Said garment comprises at least one mammary three-dimensional panel for covering each breast and preferably the independent mammary panels which are three-dimensionally shaped in such a way that a breast is covered. Each mammary panel is provided with a second assembling line, which corresponds to the assembly of two edges of a cutting, in particular V-shaped, and is used for three-dimensionally shaping the panel.

Abstract: A pair of fishing trousers comprises two waterproof fabric layers, an adhesive layer and a waterproof adhesive layer. The waterproof fabric layers are partially superposed to form two connecting portions. The adhesive layer is provided between the connecting portions, and between an upper surface and a lower surface of the adhesive layer and the waterproof fabric layers is formed a sticking surface, respectively. Thereby, the waterproof fabric layers can be bonded together, so as to improve the waterproof effect. The waterproof adhesive layer is the innermost layer of the fishing trousers and coated on the connecting portions. After the respective layers of the fishing trousers are bonded together, they can be heated and pressed by passing two rollers to improve the bonding strength, thus improving the waterproof effect.

Abstract: The present invention is a knitted cloth mitten for the hand(s) preferably comprised of nylon, polyester and Lycra that is closed on one end and open on the opposite end. The open end has a knitted collar around the mitten with a small cut or opening to allow for insertion of a releasable cable tie. A piece of plastic is adhered to the palm portion of the mitten, from the fingertips to the middle of the palm, to make the palm area rigid. A releasable cable tie is threaded through the collar and around the open part of the mitten. After an individual's hands are restrained using properly placed and properly secured handcuffs, the present invention will be slid over an individual's hands with the rigid (plastic) side of the mitten to the palm side of the hand. The mitten will be extended to stop just below the handcuffs. The releasable cable tie is then pulled taught around the wearer's wrist, so as to not allow removal by the wearer.

Abstract: To provide an exercise garment with crotch part that is capable of sufficiently improving performance of various types of exercises accompanied by three-dimensional movements such as rotation of the trunk and rotation/outward rotation/inward rotation of both legs. In an exercise garment with crotch part, when it is being worn, tightening forces of first tightening portions act on the muscle groups existing around the greater trochanter, so that the muscle groups are supported to broaden the extent of mobility of the pelvic band. On the other hand, on the inside of the closed-loop first tightening portions, the space between a first line and a second line gradually becomes wider toward the greater trochanter position, whereby a side hole is formed. Due to such formation of the side hole, the greater trochanter of the wearer is prevented from being pressed directly by the first tightening portions.

Abstract: Tuckit Skinny Capri is a pant that makes the method of tucking in your jean or pant into boots easier, faster and more convenient. The pant is made to fit snugly to the leg and has a new technology of integrated garter or hose grips which allow the pant to have dual usage. These garter style clips (one on each side of the pant leg, each lying flatly against the leg) are located below the hem of each leg and allow for quick attachment to socks for boot wear. The garter clips are permanently attached to each side of the pant leg by an elastic band that is sown on the hem. The wearer simply puts on the “tuckit skinny capri” and a pair of socks, attaches the pant/capri to the socks through the use of the integrated clips, flips down the hem to cover the clips, and simply slips the boot on. This avoids having to spend a considerable amount of time tucking the jean/pant into the boots and a bunched up look at the top of the boot area. It also avoids the jean/pant slowly sliding up as the person walks.

Abstract: An undergarment having rapid donning and doffing capability without the wearer needing to remove his pants and shoes. The apparatus consists of a single unit of wearable fabric having a body portion and two identically long extending left and right leg segments. Three closure systems, containing male parts and female counterparts, are separated and sewn at opposite, respective sides of the undergarment. The two sides of the body portion are wrapped around the waist in the front of the lower abdomen perpendicular to the waist and the closure system fastened thereupon enveloping the waist, buttocks, hips, and lower abdomen. Thereafter, the sides of the extending left leg segment are pulled around the leg and the closure system fastened along the inner leg thereupon enveloping the left leg. The same process is repeated on the right leg thereupon forming a complete undergarment. Dismantling simply means unfastening all the closure systems and removing the undergarment.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are underpants, which are configured by combining ergonomic three dimensional patterns with the basic function as underwear, thus allowing a wearer to have an effect of lifting and shaping the buttocks and feel comfortable.

Abstract: A helmet includes a shell, a base coating layer entirely covering an outer surface of the shell, and a decorative layer entirely and thermally bonded to an entire outer surface of the base coating layer. The decorative layer includes an adhesive layer, a reflective layer that is bonded to the adhesive layer and that has a plurality of reflective particles, and a patterned layer that is printed on the adhesive layer. A method of forming the helmet is also disclosed.

Abstract: A sweatband designed to be worn on a user for usage in a variety of sporting activities. The sweatband comprises inserts for the purpose of protecting the user, which may be permanently placed or removable. In the preferred mode, the inserts are polymeric and function to absorb and dissipate impact forces with which the user comes in contact. Importantly, the inserts may he strategically placed within the sweatband, such as in the areas most vulnerable to concussion or injury upon impact. In an alternate embodiment, the polymeric inserts may he removed from the sweatband. In total, the invention provides a novel, lightweight means to protect the athlete, while effectively functioning to absorb perspiration.

Abstract: A water-permeable protective material is provided which comprises a composition of one or more quaternary amines in combination with polyvinyl alcohol or precursor thereof. The amine may be either a polymeric or non-polymeric quaternary amine, a preferred example being poly(diallyldimethylammonium chloride) [p(DADMAC)]. The composition, if liquid, may be deposited as a layer on a substrate to be protected or a protective article may be formed by extrusion or moulding from a dry composition. The substrate may be a fabric material, particularly an item of clothing. Protection is provided against harmful or noxious agents such as chemical and biological warfare agents, organic materials, aerosols and other harmful liquid and gaseous substances.

Abstract: The present invention relates to self adhesive hard surface cleaning blocks, and their use. It is an object of the present invention to provide a detergent block that can be easily positioned onto a hard surface; even a wet surface. It is a further object of the invention to provide a detergent block that rinses away in a number of flushes, and does not leave behind any residue that cannot be easily removed with e.g. a toilet brush. We have found that a hard surface cleaning block comprising surfactants forming a liquid crystalline phase upon contact with water meet the objects of the invention.

Abstract: A sanitary washing toilet seat device according to the invention comprises a nozzle head having a water discharge port; a first cylinder capable of housing at least part of the nozzle head; a second cylinder capable of housing at least part of the first cylinder; and a driver configured to advance or retract at least one of the nozzle head and the first and second cylinder. The driver includes a flexible rack with one end connected to the nozzle head; a motor; and a transmission mechanism configured to transmit rotation of the motor to the flexible rack. At least one of the nozzle head and the first and second cylinder is advanced or retracted in accordance with the rotation of the motor. In a sanitary washing toilet seat device and a toilet device equipped therewith, a multistage washing nozzle can be accurately advanced/retracted.

The base defines a water outflow passage having an upper end at which the passage has an area A1 and a lower end at which the passage has an area A2 and includes a valve seat at the upper end of the water outflow passage. A flush valve is movable relative to the base between a sealing position in which the valve engages the valve seat in sealing relationship and a flushing position in which the valve is spaced upwardly from the valve seat. The area A1 is substantially greater than the area A2.

Abstract: A pool cover weight comprising an elongated flexible tubular member which is filled with a ballast material and which has a tether secured thereto so that a plurality of the weights may be placed over the side edge portions of a pool cover extending over an above-ground pool with the tethers thereof being secured to the upper ends of the side walls of the pool. The positioning of the pool cover weights on the pool cover prevent the pool cover from flapping in the wind.

Abstract: A portable hair-washing apparatus includes a washbasin, a container, a pumping unit and a showering unit. The washbasin includes an upper deck formed on a lower deck so that a chamber is defined between them. The upper deck includes a cavity separated from the chamber and an inlet pipe in communication with the chamber. A dirty-water drain extends from the upper deck. A clean-water drain extends from the lower deck. The container includes a cavity and an aperture in communication with the cavity thereof. The inlet pipe of the washbasin is in communication with the cavity of the container when the washbasin is located on the container. The pumping unit is in communication with the clean-water drain. The showering unit is in communication with the pumping unit. There are plugs for closing the inlet pipe, the dirty-water drain and the aperture, respectively.

Abstract: A foot warming unit for a sauna device includes a plate-shaped heating unit provided in the sauna device, and a rigid foot support plate disposed over the heating unit. The foot support plate is made of a non-metallic heat conductive insulating material and has a bottom face in abutment with an upper face of the heating unit. Preferably, the heating unit has an insulating sheet and a resistive conductor formed in the insulating sheet. The foot warming unit is robust and safe and has a reduced size.

Abstract: Elongated drain assemblies suitable for use in tiled shower stalls are described. Because the elongated drain is typically located at one edge of the shower stall proximate a stall wall and extends substantially the entire length of the wall, the installation of the associated shower pan is made much simpler. Specifically, the pan need only be sloped substantially in a single direction instead of four towards a prior art circular drain located at the center of a stall. The time and cost of creating a pan having a single slope is reduced over a more complex multi-sloped pan. Several different means for adjusting the height of the drain assemblies' top surfaces relative to the height of the tile floor are provided to adjust for tile floors of differing thicknesses.

The mattress support is vertically displaceable by means of at least one drive unit for applying a vertical force to a corresponding solely vertically displaceable driven component and is stabilized during vertical displacement by at least one stabilizing means connected thereto. The driven component is connected to, or is in supporting relation with, the mattress support, so that a height of the mattress support above a floor surface is settable and continuously adjustable by means of at least one actuator associated with the at least one drive unit. In one embodiment, a locking device for preventing displacement of the mattress support following inadvertent actuation of the at least one drive unit is employed.

The stand assist device also includes a mast assembly mounted on the base, the mast assembly including a mast. A boom is pivotally attached to the mast and an actuator is attached to the boom. The actuator is adapted to be driven in order to cause the boom to rotate relative to the mast. A knee pad is also attached relative to the mast assembly. The mast may be moved between a seated position wherein the mast extends upwardly from the base, and a folded position wherein the mast extends substantially in the forward direction. The base, mast assembly, and knee pad are configured so that the knee pad does not interfere with the base when the mast is moved into the folded position.

The attachment includes a working head and a coupling member which is joined to the working head and connectable to the toothbrush handpiece by positive and/or frictional engagement. The attachment can be an attachment brush for dental cleansing, or for interproximal cleaning devices, such as gum massage heads or other attachment tools for performing similar tasks in the oral cavity. The coupling member is braced against the toothbrush handpiece, to provide a low to zero-play connection which accommodates production tolerances. At least one pivot lever or toggle joint is provided for clamping the coupling member upon the toothbrush handpiece.

The fluid flow lockout mechanism includes a fluid flow adjustment control selectively operably connected to a fluid flow control mechanism that controls the flow of fluid from a reservoir to an outlet. The fluid lockout mechanism further includes a fluid flow lockout switch having a first state in which the fluid flow adjustment control is operably connected to the fluid flow control mechanism and a second state in which the fluid flow adjustment control is not operably connected to the fluid flow control mechanism.

Abstract: A cleaning pig for a pipeline for long-distance transportation of a fluid material is advanced in the pipeline in a travel direction by the fluid material transported in the pipeline. The cleaning pig has a pig body and two collars connected to the pig body and spaced apart from one another. The pig body and the collars fill a pipe cross-section of the pipeline. An intermediate space is delimited between the two collars. A pressure opening is arranged at a trail end of the pig body in the travel direction. A pressure conduit connects the pressure opening to the intermediate space. A suction device is arranged in the intermediate space. A suction outlet is connected by a suction conduit to the suction device. The pressure conduit is connected to at least one jet opening directed with a jet action against an inner wall of the pipeline.

Abstract: A brush apparatus for cleaning the interior of a bottle having a handle, a scrubbing portion, and a removable splash shield. The handle includes a grip portion and a channel for removably securing the splash shield to the handle. A plurality of bristles extend radially outward from a bristle stem to form a brush having a substantially cylindrical scrubbing portion. The removable splash shield functions as a shield to contain splashing while cleaning a bottle and when the user removes the scrubbing portion from the bottle.

Abstract: A mop includes a base (10), a cleaning unit (40) mounted on the base, a limit seat (20) mounted on the base and having an inner portion provided with a limit space (22) and a locking portion (243), a movable seat (30) movably mounted on the limit seat and having a locked portion (32) movable in the limit space and detachably engaging the locking portion (243), and a handle (35) mounted on the movable seat. Thus, when the locked portion of the movable seat is detached from the locking portion of the limit seat, the limit seat and the movable seat are rotatable relative to each other so that when the limit seat, the base and the cleaning unit are placed in and rotated by a dehydrator, the movable seat and the handle are not rotated by the dehydrator.
