Abstract: The fishing lure is formed in a variety of configurations mimicking various prey animals to which game fish might be attracted. Each lure is formed of relatively soft plastic or rubber for flexibility, although the head or forward end of the lure may optionally be formed of harder material. The lure includes a pair of laterally opposed notches or grooves between the head and body, and a series of longitudinally staggered notches or grooves across the upper and lower body or tail portion. These notches or grooves provide even greater flexibility for the lure, allowing the lure to undulate due to hydrodynamic force when drawn through the water. The hook is installed in the forwardmost portion of the lure with the tip oriented above and/or forwardly of the remainder of the lure, to avoid reduction of body flexibility due to being penetrated by the relatively stiff shank of the hook.

Abstract: In algae, the conditions for optimal production of biomass are different than the optimal conditions for oil/lipid production. Conventional processes require that both steps be optimized simultaneously which is necessarily sub optimal. The invention provides systems and processes for optimizing each type of production separately and independently, thereby improving overall production of oil, lipids and other useful products. This process is advantageous because it allows the optimization of the individual steps and growth phases in the production of oil from biomass. This allows the use of different feedstocks for various process steps.

Abstract: A walkway system comprising a plurality of support assemblies, each having a pair of spaced apart beam support plates on an upper side thereof, and a plurality of pairs of beams. Each pair of beams is supported by pairs of spaced apart beam support plates of at least two support assemblies. A plurality of cross members extend between lower portions of the pairs of beams. The cross members are configured to support one or more cables resting thereupon. A plurality of decking members extend between the pairs of beams. The decking members are secured to upper sides of the beams. The cross members, beams and decking members cooperate to form a partial enclosure for the cables, thereby eliminating the need for a separate cable tray.

Abstract: A tamper-proof conduit concealing system typically of a type typically defines an elongate solid rectangular structure, also known as a soffit. The bottommost surface of said structures is particularly prone to sagging, bowing, buckling and the like. In conduits of sufficient length, vertical surfaces are also subject to stresses and strains induced by the force of gravity. The conduit concealing system includes the provision within one or more surfaces of the soffit to be reinforced of a series of transverse ribs or gussets, that is, ribs or gussets which are perpendicular to the length of the soffit and, typically, also perpendicular to the surface to which the soffit is to be attached. Such ribs or gussets are pressure formed on the soffit and may exhibit depths in a range of 0.1 to 1.0 inches, and lengths in a range of 0.25 to 2.

The block has an outer block wall on one side and a head portion extending to the opposed side. The head portion has a connecting portion which interfits with a receptacle of a similar block. The block has a channel extending generally parallel to the outer block wall. In a block wall, two vertically-adjacent series of the blocks form a horizontal wall channel which can hold a reinforcing bar and in-filled concrete, for horizontal reinforcement of the wall.
