A gas is contained within the gas-tight chamber at a pressure within a predetermined range of acceptable pressures for dispersing impact forces translated against one side of the device such that a blunt force trauma producing impact force is not transferred through the device to a wearer's body disposed proximal to the other side of the device.

The garment comprises a body portion, a plurality of light-emitting assemblies, a battery assembly, a circuit control device and at least one motion sensor, wherein the circuit control device includes a microcontroller and an electric wire which is in electrical communication with the light-emitting assemblies and the battery assembly for conducting power to the light sources from the battery, such that the activation of the light-emitting assemblies can be controlled by an output signal from the motion sensor to the microcontroller when a movement of the motion sensor is detected.

Abstract: A garment for wearing during monitoring of muscle activity of a subject includes a torso portion defining an interior space configured and adapted to accommodate and cover at least a portion of the subject's torso. The torso portion defines an exterior space external to the interior space. A plurality of access fittings are defined in the torso portion. Each access fitting is configured and adapted to accommodate access to skin of the subject adjacent a muscle group to be monitored by a sensor unit external to the torso portion, such that at least a portion of the sensor unit remains external to the torso portion with the sensor unit accessing the skin via the access fitting.

Abstract: A long-sleeved, pullover-type upper body garment has a continuous slit, which runs up the side of the garment from the bottom of garment body to an arm pit, and downward along the underside of a sleeve, and terminates at a point intermediately along the length of the sleeve. The segment of the slit that is in the body of the garment is temporarily closeable using mating hook-and-loop fastener members that are attached to the body of the garment on opposite sides of the slit. The segment of the slit in the upper portion of the sleeve remains at all times “open”, thereby allowing access to the middle and/or upper end of the wearer's arm for attachment of IV tubing or other medical lines. The circumference of the lower end (e.g., forearm portion) of the sleeve is neither separable nor openable, thereby requiring that a wearer insert his/her hand through the lower portion of the sleeve.

This allows the gloves to be removed in an ergonomic and simple manner without any auxiliary means, even with a very short cuff, without the soiled or contaminated outer side coming into contact with the skin of the person wearing the glove. The base member and the securement member are operatively engaged with one another by way of tab extending axially from the securement member, which are engageable with lip portions of the base member. When the securement member and the base member sandwich the material to be hemmed, portions of the material, especially any seams, are positioned within spaces or passages defined by the tabs.

The kit for making a decorative article of clothing may include a fabric suitable for receiving decorative embellishments and artistic implements. The fabric may be flexible, colorfast for marking pen ink, colorfast for wax-based pigments, and colorfast for paint, suitable for receiving adhesives for attaching decorative embellishments, sewable, and substantially smooth. The fabric may also be configured and arranged in apparel form and suitable to be worn by a person. The kit may also include a set of decorative embellishments or a set of artistic implements for drawing or painting on the article of clothing. A selectively engageable latch structure holds the spring clip in the closed condition. Therefore, the present invention enables a user to place his/her arms on the support board (11). Furthermore, free movement of the user is ensured, and the upper body support apparatus is prevented from impeding the opening or closing of a door of the lavatory. In addition, when washing the lavatory, the upper body support apparatus is prevented from impeding the washing operation. As well, the present invention has a function of providing heat to maintain the body temperature of the user in the winter and a vibration function to stimulate the abdomen of the user to promote bowel evacuation.

The cistern member has a base wall that forms a chamber to store the water and a passageway to discharge the water from the chamber, the passageway has an internal inlet and a cistern outlet and is shaped to siphon water through the passageway. The actuator tilts the cistern member to actuate discharge of water through the passageway so that when the cistern member is pivoted and the passageway is moved below the water level of the stored water of the chamber, the water is drawn through the passageway to the cistern outlet until air within the chamber enters the passageway preventing further water from being drawn into the passageway.

Abstract: The present invention is related to toilet device. Specifically, the present invention is related to a gravity fed toilet device of mega low water consumption, since it only consumes one gallon per flush (gpf) or 3.8 liters per flush (lpf), which is highly desirable for users. Conventional gravity fed toilets require a water consumption above 1.03 gpf/3.85 lpf for them to be efficient, or they require special accessories to improve their efficiency. The present invention significantly overcomes this high water consumption by providing a mega lower water consumption toilet device (i.e., 1 gpf/3.8 lpf), which operates by means of a conventional gravity system, without needing any accessory or special fittings elements, and with performance results equivalent or superior to those required for the highest standards and the regulation of world market.

In a second state, if the seat member is positioned on the opposing rims with a human weighing over 50 pounds sitting on the seat member, the friction element can contact the rim and thereby impede sliding of the seat member along a rim.

Abstract: A sink assembly provides an enhanced overflow system for an under-counter mountable sink. The sink has an overflow cutout with an open top formed adjacent an upper rim of the basin of the sink. When the sink is mounted to the bottom surface of a counter top, the sink and counter together form an overflow opening, thereby permitting the overflow to be more easily concealed and increasing the fill capacity of the sink. Methods of installing such sink assemblies are also disclosed.

There is a longitudinal elongated beam or support bar which extends beyond the periphery of the rotating gantry at both ends. Abstract: The invention is a bedding apparatus, to be used with a conventional mattress. The bedding's bottom layer is fitted, so as to fit snugly around a mattress. The bottom layer is connected to the top layer by an attachment device, preferably two zippers. The top layer extends over three edges of the bottom layer, so as to appear aesthetically pleasing and provide comfort to the user. The zippers allow a user to easily and quickly make up the bed after sleeping in the bedding. It also functions to keep the top layer from falling off of the bed while sleeping and facilitates the user in weekly changing of the bed.

Such particles minimize or eliminate certain drawbacks of benefit agents including encapsulated benefit agents. When employed in compositions, for example, cleaning or fabric care compositions, such particles increase the efficiency of benefit agent delivery, there by allowing reduced amounts of benefit agents to be employed. In addition to allowing the amount of benefit agent to be reduced, such particles allow a broad range of benefit agents to be employed.

The optimized article comprises a nonwoven substrate with sidedness, and although the softener composition is solidified within the fibers of the lofted side of the substrate, the softener is unexpectedly found to subsequently express out from the flat side of the substrate while in the heated clothes dryer.

Abstract: A method for determining a target rotational speed below an application rotational speed of a washing drum of a laundry treatment device having a drive and a vibrating system, wherein a dependence of a mechanical effect on items to be washed located in the washing drum on the respective nominal speed of the washing drum is used to ascertain the target rotational speed at which the mechanical effect is at the greatest. The mechanical effect at a respective target rotational speed is ascertained by measuring vibrating system movements of the vibrating system which exhibit greater frequency than the respective target rotational speed. The rotational speed at which the maximum vibrating system movement was measured is selected for carrying out the washing care procedure. The advantage of such a method is that the washing mechanics can be increased, thus improving the cleaning efficiency.
