  • Patent number: 7810501
Abstract: The present invention is a simple, adaptable orthotic device that can correct and/or prevent deformational posterior plagiocephaly, especially if used before the infant is 4 months of age. The manufactured article provides an anatomically correcting, adjustable, concave-shaped resting surface for an infant's head in a manner that effectively eliminates uneven pressure on the infant's occiput. The orthotic device has a module design which permits easy adjustments of the devices' head cavity to accommodate differences in individual infant head size and shape, thereby providing the infant's head with a custom fit. Also, as the infant continues to grow in size, the adjustable head cavity and torso recess features of the orthotic device allow the contoured spatial volume and dimensions of the molded supporting surfaces to expand as the infant's calvaria grow; and thereby facilitate a progressive, normalization and rounding of the infant's occiput.

A pressure adjusting mechanism has a film assembly, a movable shaft to be reciprocated by the film assembly, a swing device pivoted in the case with an end thereof connected to the movable shaft and an opposite end for sealing the second input bore, and a driving device received in the first input bore and connected to the movable shaft for reciprocation to seal the first input bore. High pressure gas may flows into the first and second input bores through the input channel for pressure adjusting operation. With the action of the pressure adjusting mechanism, the present invention provides a well pressure reducing and stabilizing performance.

  • Patent number: 7810518
Abstract: A solenoid-operated valve comprises an inlet valve member which is disposed to close in response to fluid pressure at an inlet port. A venting valve member is disposed relative to the inlet valve member so that closure of either valve member lifts the other. The valve includes at least one coil within which is a tubular assembly that forms a chamber with an operating space for the venting valve member and contains an armature for striking a rear part of the venting valve member when the coil is energised. The chamber includes a flux tube which provides a path for magnetic flux in parallel with the armature, the flux tube terminating before a region where the armature strikes the rear part of the venting valve member. A non-magnetic ring surrounds this region so that the density of the magnetic flux is increased in this region to increase the force with which the armature can strike the rear part of the venting valve member.

Abstract: A method is provided for reducing seepage through a leak (5) in a duct (1), the leak being defined in terms of its maximum dimension xL and its maximum width in an orthogonal direction yL and the effective size of the leak being given by formula (1): SL=(x2L+y2L)1/2. A plurality of sealing elements (3) are introduced into the duct, the sealing elements having dimensions a, b and c in mutually orthogonal directions and the effective size SE of the sealing element being given by formula (2): SE=(a2+b2+c2)1/2. The sealing elements have an effective size SE, which is less than the effective size of the leak SL, so that sealing elements (3A) are drawn to the leak locality and caused, by reason of a pressure differential at that locality and attributable to the leak, to move over the leak and reduce the seepage.
