Abstract: Disclosed is a wobble plate type variable displacement compressor that uses a constant velocity universal joint mechanism, which comprises an inner ring and an outer ring, balls that are held between guide grooves of the inner ring and the outer ring to transmit power, wherein a wobble plate is connected and fixed to the outer ring. In the compressor, at least any one of the guide grooves opposing each other of the inner and outer rings is formed along a guide groove cross-sectional profile to come into contact with a ball at two points. With this wobble plate type variable displacement compressor using the specified constant velocity universal joint mechanism, the ball retaining structure between the inner and outer rings in the wobble plate rotation preventing mechanism can be improved, and desired power transmission can be stably performed.

Abstract: A hydraulic cylinder with piston and rod enclosed, that upon receiving air and oil, singularly or along with one or more identical cylinders, from a new, dry, system start up, will, upon extension, when the piston seal passes a predetermined point, stop. With continued pumping from either a manual single or multiple cylinder pump or an electric pump all the identical piston rods will arrive at the predetermined stop and the cylinders will be purged of air and when the manual locks are placed over the extended piston rods, they will stay there and not move up or down, regardless of ambient temperature changes or inadvertent release of the oil. After they are extended the first time all the cylinders will stop at the predetermined point in an even position with each other. The locks and pumps are not shown in this application.

Abstract: A phaser valve for a piston and cylinder assembly helps to keep a pair of pistons in phase with each other. The phaser valve includes a poppet which is slidable between opposing seats of a valve housing. The poppet includes a head and a stem, both the head and the stem having concave portions which facilitate the flow of hydraulic fluid across the valve. The poppet head has two generally conical ends, so that the head makes a fluid-tight seal with a seat when the head is urged towards either seat. Due to its construction, the phaser valve may be built to fit within a very small space, while still allowing a substantial flow of fluid when the head is not in abutment with one of the seats.

Abstract: A method and an equipment for improving global warming and air pollution are proposed, wherein hot exhaust gas generated by a thermal machine is injected into an exhaust boosting unit to be compressed and mixed with a liquid medium for atomization. Pollutants in the hot exhaust gas and heat generated due to combustion are adsorbed by the liquid medium. After the liquid medium passes a dust collecting unit, the pollutants adsorbed by the liquid medium will adhere to the dust collecting unit. Humid and hot clean air is extracted to the atmosphere, and rises to high altitudes and is cooled there. Water will drop to the ground in the form or rain or snow to cool the ground temperature and remove other pollutants in the air. Heat circulation and water circulation can be sped up to improve the situation of global warming and render more water resource to the Earth.

Abstract: A maintenance engineer can analyze an abnormal state with less difficulty in a rapid and correct manner independent of his/her skill. A substrate processing system comprises: a substrate processing apparatus configured to operate according to a recipe defining a process sequence and process conditions, and a group managing apparatus connected to the substrate processing apparatus. The group managing apparatus comprises an analysis support unit. The analysis support unit is configured to extract check item information relating to both abnormal state information for identifying an abnormal state occurring when the recipe is executed and apparatus type information for identifying the type of the substrate processing apparatus at which the abnormal state occurs, and to prepare a check item table comprising the extracted check item information.

Abstract: A feed distribution system has a feed supply conduit and a feeder. The conduit is configured to move feed therethrough. At least a portion of the conduit defines a longitudinal axis. The feeder has a pan and first and second fill ports for receiving the feed moving through the conduit and for providing the feed to the pan. Each port defines a first opening at which feed flows into the port from the conduit and a second opening at which feed flows out of the port and onto the pan, wherein the first and second openings of each port define centers thereof. The center of the first opening of each port is provided along the axis of the conduit. The center of the second opening of each port is offset from the center of the first opening of each port and from the axis of the conduit.

Abstract: A gate for a pet enclosure having limited visibility from inside the enclosure of events taking place outside the enclosure. In one embodiment, the gate of the present invention is formed from a plurality of removable panels which define an outer facial surface of the gate. At least one portal is provided in the gate for limited protrusion of a pet's face into the portal only to the extent of the nose and eyes of the pet. The portal is provided about its perimeter with an artistic which enhances the outer appearance of the gate itself, and when associated with a pet animal's partial exposure within the portal, provides a striking and enjoyable, sometimes comical, visual alteration of the facial surface of the gate. In various embodiments, the artistic associated with a given portal in the gate may be changed employing plural artistics which are arrayed on a moveable mount which positions selected artistics in register with selected ones of a plurality of portals defined in the gate.

Abstract: An attractant apparatus for use by animals. This apparatus is characterized as having surfaces on which the animal can play, scratch, and rub and a retainer for an animal attractant, such as catnip, used to induce such activity. The retainer may be opened to allow for the introduction and removal of the attractant. This cover is characterized as permitting odors emanating from the catnip to pass through, so as to induce play in the animal. An overlay partially covers the retainer to restrict direct access by the animal to the attractant held within the retainer, but allows partial access near the retainer and an additional surface and area for playing.
