The cooking utensil has an inner wall made from an electrically conductive material, an outer wall made from an electrically non-conductive material, and a gap between the inner and outer walls. There is an intermediate wall in the gap. The intermediate wall divides the gap into an inner chamber between the inner wall and the intermediate wall and an outer chamber between the outer wall and the intermediate wall.

Abstract: An apparatus carries and stores foodstuffs in a desired ambient temperature, and comprises a primary tray, a shroud, and a lid. The primary tray comprises an inner support platform portion and an outer shroud-receiving portion. The shroud comprises an inner cover portion and an outer wall portion contiguous with the inner cover portion. The inner cover portion defines a downwardly open matter-receiving space for covering matter supported by the support platform portion. The outer wall portion and the inner cover portion define an upwardly open medium-receiving space for receiving and positioning a heat transfer medium adjacent the matter-receiving space. The lid is seatable upon the shroud for covering the medium-receiving space. A series of fastening mechanisms removably fasten the primary tray to the shroud. A heat transfer medium is receivable in the medium-receiving space for effecting heat transfer intermediate the medium-receiving and matter-receiving spaces.

Abstract: A drinking vessel configured to enclose an amount of dry ice produces smoke while chilling a beverage. The drinking vessel may comprise a watertight container for holding the beverage and a filter to enclose the dry ice within a section of the watertight container. The filter will typically be permeable such that the beverage may contact the dry ice within the section of the watertight container but also flow out of the section so that the beverage may be consumed. The filter may be attached to an interior of the watertight container to enclose the dry ice. The interior wall(s) of the watertight container may have one or more mounts to engage and secure the filter to to the watertight container. The filter prevents dry ice particles from escaping thus allowing a user to drink directly from the drinking vessel even as smoke is generated by the dry ice.

A preferred embodiment includes a ring release slide mechanism that allows the user to disengage the advancing mechanism so that the user can manually rotate the counting mechanism to initially set the indices to the correct location with respect to the viewing apertures and to be able to reset the indices if the user presses on the top cap housing accidentally.

Abstract: Generally, the present disclosure relates to a carton for dispensing compressed tissue sheets comprising a carton having an oversized carton opening and a compressed stack of tissues, such as facial tissues. The compressed carton can significantly reduce costs associated with shipping such low density products. The oversized carton opening permits the compressed stack of tissues to expand, releasing the compression of the tissue stack and allowing the tissues to be dispensed normally.

Abstract: Generally, the present disclosure relates to a carton for tissue products comprising a carton and an overwrapped compressed stack of tissues, such as facial tissues. The compressed carton can significantly reduce costs associated with shipping such low density products. An extendable ram pad extends from the drive assembly that is adjustable according to the amount of product a user wishes to be dispensed. With the product container placed within the dispenser, the unit is adjusted such that the pump on the container is in contact with the dispenser ram. When an object is placed within the viewing range of the touch free sensor, a signal is sent to the drive assembly and the dispenser ram is extended thereby depressing the pump head and dispensing the product onto the object.

Abstract: Fold and squeeze condiment packet sauce wrapper for any sauce including ketchup packet that folds in half and squeezes the sauce out from the middle hole. One side has a stiff hard backboard when folded in half both ends touch each other it pinches the packet and forces all the sauce out the middle opening. The sauce packet has a backboard either made out of plastic or stiff paper when folded, the one side with the back board acts as a pivot lever and squeezes the sauce out. The middle of the packet has a perforated line ready to be folded in half. The middle has an exit hole covered with a peel off sticker cover. The user peels off the sticker cover off the middle exposing the exit hole. The packet is folded in half and squeezes out all the ketchup sauce or any sauce out of the packet. When both ends of the packet are pinched together all sauce from the packet is extruded out the middle exit hole.

A nipple member may be positioned over the valve member to allow the bottle contents to be utilized or consumed.

The invention solves problems with the present state of the art in that the scent containing substance is free of scent producing contaminates such as acrylic resin, that the scent substance remains flexible, adherent and volatile for several hours and as dispensed in its particulate vapor form can inform the hunter as to the nature of air currents at the hunt site.

The stapling mechanism is controlled by a trigger handle or a switch assembly. The surgical apparatus has a controller for providing a delay between clamping and actuating of the firing mechanism of the stapling mechanism. The delay provides for a desired amount of time for tissue compression producing a more uniform staple formation. The surgical apparatus also has an indicator. The indicator provides feedback about the status of the stapling mechanism and also displays a time of tissue compression by the clamp.

Abstract: A surgical stapler which includes or onto which a tool assembly can be mounted for deploying a plurality of surgical fasteners includes a housing having a clamping handle mountable to the housing. The clamping handle is selectively movable to actuate the clamping of tissue. An adapter yoke is included which translates within the housing upon actuation of the clamping handle. The adapter yoke mechanically cooperates with a lead screw to actuate the tool assembly to clamp tissue. A drive assembly is also included for rotating a shaft which mechanically engages the lead screw. Upon selective activation of the drive assembly, the shaft rotates the lead screw to advance a roll nut and force a firing piston into the tool assembly to deform the surgical fasteners through and fasten the tissue.

In at least one embodiment, the other of the first and second jaw members can include an anvil having at least one forming surface which can be configured to deform the staples as they are deployed from the staple cartridge. In at least one form of the invention, the anvil can be movably adjustable relative to the staple cartridge in order to adjust the distance in which the staples are deformed. In various embodiments, the anvil can be adjusted by a slidable adjusting plate and/or a rotatable cam.

Abstract: The present invention provides assembly for use with a cartridge for the generation of hydrogen and a method for bonding metals with the cartridge. The cartridge includes a case, an igniter, and a structural component. The case defines an interior cavity and the igniter is positioned within the cavity. The structural component is also positioned within the cavity and is formed of a particulate embedded in a matrix and the particulate includes a metallic material. An oxidizing agent is positioned within the cavity. The structural component is configured such that the metallic material and the oxidizing agent react together to generate hydrogen after the igniter generates sufficient heat to remove the matrix from the structural component and to initiate the reaction between the metallic material and the oxidizing agent. The cartridge is positioned within the assembly relative to a metal flyer such that when the cartridge is discharged, the flyer is bonded to a metal anvil.

Abstract: An example apparatus for replacement of a breached pipe section includes a first cylindrical pipe fitting having a first surface defining a first aperture, a middle pipe member, and a second cylindrical pipe fitting having a second surface defining a second aperture, and first and second aperture caps. A first end of each of the first and second pipe fittings is welded to opposite ends of the middle section, and a second end opposite of each of the first and second pipe fittings is welded through the respective first and second apertures to opposite ends of pipe surrounding the breached pipe section. The first and second aperture caps are welded to the apertures of the first and second pipe fittings to close the respective first and second apertures.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing a rotor by welding a plurality of elements together is described. The elements have a body with cavities and surfaces to be welded to surfaces of adjacent elements. According to the method, the elements are vertically stacked one above the other to form a pile with facing surfaces to be welded together defining slots. The cavities of adjacent elements define bores that extend within the pile. Then, adjacent elements are welded together within the slots. The bore is purged with an inert gas or mixture during welding. The slots are welded at an upper part of the bore before the slots at a lower part of the bore, and a slot at the upper part of the bore is welded last.

Abstract: Components and methods of forming a protective coating system on the components are provided. In an embodiment, and by way of example only, the component includes a ceramic substrate and a braze layer disposed over the ceramic substrate. The braze layer includes a silicon matrix having a first constituent and a second constituent that is different than the first constituent. The first constituent forms a first intermetallic with a portion of the silicon matrix and the second constituent forms a second intermetallic with another portion of the silicon matrix, wherein the braze layer is formulated to provide a barrier to oxygen diffusion therethrough.

Abstract: A dispenser for viscous condiments including a tubular sidewall having opposite ends. One opposite end is open and can receive a plunger or piston therein for applying force to a condiment contained within the tubular sidewall. The other end of the sidewall includes a dispenser valve assembly including a member secured to an inturned flange portion of the sidewall with the flange portion being generally normal to the sidewall. The dispenser valve assembly is suitably secured to the flange portion as by heat sealing, such as a bead of hot melt, to form a composite laminated structure that is resistant to the penetration of liquid elements of the condiments. The dispenser valve assembly further includes a valve plate having one or more selectively openable discharge openings that will open and close under the influence of the pressure applied to the condiment in order to discharge the condiment.

Abstract: QR codes or the like are used in hardlink applications, by which different users may receive different information in response to a scan of the same code that is displayed at one or more locations in the real world. The content delivered to a particular user may be dependent on the time of the scan, the geographic location of the user, a weather condition at the geographical location, personal information associated with the user, a number of previous scans of the code by prior individuals, and any combination of the these or other variables, which may be determined by an originator of the QR code or other party.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for establishing a network connection in a portable terminal. The apparatus includes a controller, an image acquisition unit, and a code image analyzer. The controller establishes a network connection with a peripheral terminal using network information acquired through a code image. The code image analyzer analyzes the code image acquired by the image acquisition unit and acquires the network information of the peripheral terminal. The code image includes at least any one of network information of the peripheral terminal, code image generation information, and information on an automatic execution program to be automatically executed after code image recognition.

Abstract: A banking system operates to cause financial transfers responsive to card data read from data bearing records by a card reader. The system includes at least one automated banking machine comprising a cash dispenser. The system is operative during a cash dispense transaction request to receive through an automated banking machine, user input of data corresponding to a mobile phone number. The system is operative to generate a security code for the requested cash dispense transaction. The system uses the phone number to send the generated security code to the mobile phone. The cash dispense transaction is allowed to proceed only if the system receives machine user input of the sent security code within a predetermined amount of time.

Abstract: A banking system comprises automated banking machines which include a card reader, check imaging device, and cash dispenser. Each system machine can cash a code-correlated check in exchange for receiving both the check and the code assigned to the check, without requiring any user identifying input through the machine's user input devices as a condition for cashing the check. The system allows a potential recipient of a personal check to call in a given code to a system computer, which can verify whether the check is backed by funds reserved for the check amount and whether the check can be anonymously cashed. From the call the system computer can obtain the mobile phone's GPS location to determine the system machine nearest to the phone. When informing the phone user that a check is as good as cash, the system computer can also provide directions to that nearest system machine.

Abstract: An exemplary system includes an automated banking machine which is operable to conduct transactions including cash dispensing for users responsive to communication with a transaction host. The machine is also operative to provide output signals which drive external displays which are separate from the machine. The machine is operable to receive visual and audio content from one or more broadcast content sources and to store the content in the machine. The content is then output through the external displays. The machine is also operative to receive and store a plurality of advertising messages. The advertising messages are output in a targeted manner to users of the machine.
