Abstract: Various embodiments herein include utilities for generating embosser drums that are used to pre-format optical media such as optical tape with a pattern of nanostructures such as wobbled grooves. One utility includes generating a plurality of replicas from an embossing master and bonding the replicas together to form a bonded replica structure having a surface with the nanostructure pattern imprinted therein and a surface area that is approximately the same as an outer embossing surface of the embosser drum to be formed. Advantageously, a single, one-piece metallic shim can subsequently be generated, appropriately shaped and welded at a single seam to form the embosser drum outer embossing surface.

Abstract: A nozzle arrangement has a nozzle body having an inlet, an outlet and a flow space arranged therebetween, and at least one control unit. The control unit has a control part and a setting part. The control part is movable within the flow space and defines a flow cross section within the flow space, which is sufficiently small to cause a loss of pressure at the control part upon a flow of gas through the nozzle body, the loss of pressure biasing the control part towards the outlet. The setting part is movable with the control part and has at least one section, which upon movement thereof varies the flow cross section of the outlet. At least one biasing element is provided, which biases the control part in a direction away from the outlet. Furthermore, a CVD-reactor incorporating such a nozzle arrangement in a bottom wall thereof is described.

Abstract: Provided is a substrate processing apparatus. The apparatus includes: a process vessel, a heater, a source gas supply system, an oxygen-containing gas supply system, a hydrogen-containing gas supply system, a pressure regulator, and a controller. The controller is configured to control the parts so as to perform: (a) forming an oxide film on a substrate by alternately repeating: (a-1) forming a layer by supplying a source gas into the process vessel accommodating the substrate; and (a-2) changing the layer into an oxide layer by supplying an oxygen-containing gas and an hydrogen-containing gas into the process vessel, the inside of the process vessel being under a heated atmosphere having a low pressure; and (b) modifying the oxide film formed on the substrate by supplying the oxygen-containing gas and the hydrogen-containing gas into the process vessel, the inside of the process vessel being under the heated atmosphere having the low pressure.

Abstract: Milk flow detecting method and device monitors a flow of milk in a milk line which is connected to a teat cup and which has an aeration opening, like in a milking device. For this purpose, the milk filling level is monitored in a measuring section of the line. If the variation therein is too little, the absence of a flow, or at least an inadequate flow, is established. If, additionally, a (sufficient) filling level is detected, it can be concluded that there is an obstructed aeration opening.
