Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for producing a polymer material filled with longer fibers, wherein the fibers, which typically have a residual moisture content of approximately 5 to 8% and a minimum length of more than 2 mm, and the carrier material are mixed and heated in a reactor or cutter-compacter, constantly moving them and optionally comminuting the carrier material, and constantly maintaining the pourability and/or lumpiness. According to the invention, the conditions, and particularly the temperature, in the reactor are adjusted so as to dry the fibers to the lowest residual moisture possible, at which the fibers are just barely sufficiently flexible so as not to break during processing in the reactor, or during an optionally following compression step, for example extrusion.

In the preferred embodiment, Applicant's invention strips the cartridges from the magazines and feeds the cartridges into the chamber by a spring-activated hinged flap, pinned in a mating recess in a breech bolt head, adjacent a well opening and the inserted magazine. The flap is biased by a spring, which tends to lower the flap away from the breech bolt head, when the breech bolt is in a retracted position. As the breech bolt is pushed forward, the flap engages a rim of the next cartridge to be fed from the magazine and pushes the cartridge out of the magazine, over a feed ramp of the magazine, towards the rifle's chamber. Abstract: Scent-dispersing systems include a pulley/line assembly and one or more scent-dispensing elements. The pulley/line assembly includes two or more pulleys that mount to trees or other fixed structures at positions above the ground and a laterally disposed line that is routed around the pulleys. The scent-dispensing elements couple to the lateral line and, upon the lateral line being pulled around the pulleys in one direction or the other, are extended out away from or retracted back toward a base one of the pulleys. Thus, by winding out or retracting the lateral line relative to the base pulley, the scent-dispensing elements can be moved out to desired elevated positions at certain distances away from the base pulley, all without having to walk across the ground out to those positions.

Abstract: A process of making a fuel product from spent grain from a beer brewing process. In the brewing process, the grain is pulverized to a particle size whose mean particle size is generally in the range of 0.25 mm to 0.6 mm with less than 1% greater than 2 mm. After the brewing sugars are extracted from the grain, the spent grain is pressed against a filter to reduce moisture below sixty-five percent (65%), and then the grain is dried to further reduce its moisture to less than ten percent (10%). The dried spent grain, after the aforementioned processing, is fed into a combustion chamber for a steam boiler that is used for beer brewing, and the spent grain is advanced downward through the combustion chamber with agitation to aid combustion.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a process and apparatus for conversion of organic material into hydrocarbon based fuel such as an oil and relates in particular to a process and apparatus for recovering alkali salts and/or water soluble organics from water effluents from hydrothermal conversion processes of organics such as biomass and/or organic waste and/or other organic materials such as bitumen or lignite coal into oil in hot pressurized water. Another aspect of the invention relates to an integrated process for effective production of oil by conversion of slurries of biomass and/or organic waste and/or other organic materials such as bitumen or coal in hot pressurized water, wherein alkali salts and/or water soluble organics are recovered from the water effluent and is at least partly recycled to the feeding step thereby resulting in both a cleaned water effluent from the process as well as an overall more effective and economic process.
