Abstract: A system and method for extending a slotted liner shoe is disclosed. According to one embodiment, a low density material is injected into a liner having a plurality of openings. The liner is suspended below a cemented casing in a wellbore of a well in a subterranean formation. The low density material extrudes through a lower portion of the liner into an annulus between the liner and the wellbore. A cement is circulated into the liner above the low density material. The cement extrudes through an upper portion of the liner into the annulus between the liner and the wellbore Water is displaced from the wellbore, and a solid cemented casing string is formed at a desired depth.

Abstract: Methods and systems for enhancing recovery of hydrocarbons below a permafrost layer are provided which use a downhole combustion device to inject a heated fluid into a subterranean formation to enhance hydrocarbon recovery through viscosity reduction. The system is configured to avoid adversely thermally affecting the permafrost, which is highly undesirable. One or more heat exchangers may be used in conjunction with the combustion device to enhance heat transfer of various streams. The heat exchanger(s) mitigate the adverse effects of various streams on the permafrost by lowering the return stream temperatures, which are transported through the wellbore. A carbon dioxide capture system may be provided to recover carbon dioxide from the combustion device exhaust. Certain optional embodiments allow the amount of carbon dioxide introduced into the formation to be independently controlled to further enhance the hydrocarbon recovery.

An isolation element disposed on the tubular structure that isolates a borehole annulus around the section from the other sections, and a flow valve disposed on the tubular structure is selectively operable between opened and closed conditions permitting and preventing fluid communication between the through-bore and the borehole annulus. A screen disposed on the tubular structure communicates with the borehole annulus, and a closure disposed on the tubular structure at least prevents fluid communication from the through-bore to the screen. A workstring of the assembly can be manipulated in the tubular structure relative to each section in the same trip to: open the flow valve, position in the through-bore relative to the open flow valve, deliver the treatment from an outlet to the section through the open flow valve, and close the flow valve.

Abstract: Provided are a circuit board structure and a fabrication method thereof, including the steps of: forming a first circuit layer in a first dielectric layer and exposing the first circuit layer therefrom; forming a second dielectric layer on the first dielectric layer and the first circuit layer, and forming a second circuit layer on the second dielectric layer; forming a plurality of first conductive vias in the second dielectric layer for electrically connecting to the first circuit layer to thereby dispense with a core board and electroplated holes and thus facilitate miniaturization. Further, the first dielectric layer is liquid before being hardened and is formed on the first dielectric layer that enhances the bonding between layers of the circuit board and the structure.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a double-sided flexible printed circuit board in which circuit patterns are formed, including an insulating substrate, conduction layers sputtered on both sides of the insulating substrate, a through hole formed to connect circuits formed in the both sides, seed layers formed on the conduction layers of the both sides, and pattern plating layers formed on an inner wall of the through hole and on the respective seed layers, and a method of manufacturing the same. Accordingly, the loss of a circuit width can be minimized because a sputtering-type material not an adhesive is used between the insulating substrate and the thin copper (Cu) layer. Further, productivity can be improved because a roll-to-roll process can be used. In addition, the thickness of a circuit can be controlled and micro circuit patterns can be formed because a semi-additive method is used.

Abstract: In the case where a coating film is formed on a curved outer peripheral surface of a base body from a slurry through a wet process, when pseudoplasticity is imparted to the slurry, the slurry exhibits favorable film formability, and the coating film formed on the curved surface exhibits favorable shape stability. A solid film obtained through solidification of the coating film is formed such that the following relation is satisfied: tedge/tcenter?1.2 wherein tcenter represents the thickness of the center of the film in a specific direction along the outer peripheral surface, and tedge represents the thickness of the film at a position distant by 2tcenter from one end of the film in the specific direction.
