Abstract: The present invention discloses a direct type backlight module and a Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) device. A direct type backlight module comprises a diffuser plate located on the light emergent surface and a backplane opposite to the diffuser plate; a support pin is arranged between the backplane and the diffuser plate, and the support pin is rigidly fixed to the backplane. Because the support pin of the present invention is rigidly fixed on the backplane, there is no direct relationship between the present invention and the thicknesses of the backplane and the LED light plate fixed on the backplane, and no noise is produced by the loosed “mushroom head” due to infirm gripping; therefore, the support pin can be firmly fixed. The support pin can be rigidly fixed by modes facilitating the automatic operation like SMT welding and riveting, which is advantageous for promoting the productivity and the conformance rate.

Abstract: A low glare overhead lighting fixture for a transit vehicle comprises a lighting fixture base assembly for mounting one or more light sources (e.g., LEDs or fluorescent tubes), and a light permeable cover adapted to reduce glare. The light permeable cover may include a light guide embodied as a grid-like structure with holes or perforations for directing the light from the light source in a manner reducing light spread. The light guide may be disposed between a front and rear lens covers. The lighting fixture may also utilize a light permeable cover having an anti-glare surface element, such as a privacy filter screen or mesh which may be formed using microlouver technology. The lighting fixture base assembly may have separate compartments, each lined with a highly reflective coating, housing one or more deeply set LEDs.

Abstract: Auxiliary lighting is added to military vehicles in response to civilian national emergencies permitting the vehicles to function as emergency vehicles. The auxiliary lights are attached to the military vehicles by employing military standard optical devices such as reflectors already mounted on the vehicles. This method of attaching the auxiliary lights avoids unacceptable modification of the military vehicles and reduces the complexity and time required to install the auxiliary lights. The attachment method also facilitates removal of the auxiliary lighting. Therefore temporary auxiliary lighting can be added to and removed from the military vehicle with a minimal use of tools or time. The auxiliary lighting is positioned on the military vehicle such that the emitted light beams are directed as required for the function the light is expected to perform. The auxiliary lights can be floodlights, warning lights, clearance or marker lights.

Abstract: A light emitting diode perimeter lamp assembly generally includes a housing a receiving pocket formed therein for receiving a circuit board with a plurality of light emitting diodes mounted thereon. In addition, a culminating lens having a plurality of light directing elements is positioned within the receiving pocket of the housing above the circuit board such that light emitted from said plurality of light emitting diodes passes through said plurality of light directing elements. An outer lens is also mounted over the receiving pocket. When the perimeter lamp is installed on a truck body, the bottom side of the lamp housing is at an acute angle to a ground surface while the back end of the perimeter lamp is adjacent and parallel to a truck wall such that light emitted by the plurality of light emitting diodes is projected onto the ground surface adjacent to the truck wall.
