Abstract: A part replacement method replaces a part of a refrigeration cycle apparatus including a compressor, a heat source side heat exchanger, an expansion device, a heat exchanger related to heat medium, and first and second refrigerant flow closing devices. The first and second refrigerant flow closing devices control a flow of a refrigerant into and out of an outdoor unit accommodating the compressor and the heat source side heat exchanger. The method includes a pump-down step of closing the first refrigerant flow closing device, allowing the refrigerant in a pressure reduction section to flow into the outdoor unit and reducing a pressure in the reduction section until a set pressure or time is reached, a flow closing step of closing the second refrigerant flow closing device, and a part replacement step of removing the part from the refrigerant circuit by heating to replace the part.

Abstract: A heat pump operation method includes: obtaining, on a per time unit basis, generated power, load power, surplus power, and an impact magnitude; and controlling operation of the heat pump to cause the heat pump to consume an amount of power for generating heat adjusted to follow the surplus power obtained on a per unit time basis. In the controlling, when the impact magnitude is greater than a predetermined first threshold value, the operation of the heat pump is controlled to permit consumption of the power supplied from an energy supplier and approximate a reverse flow of the surplus power to zero, and when the impact magnitude is less than or equal to a predetermined second threshold value, the operation of the heat pump is controlled to permit the reverse flow of the surplus power and approximate the consumption of power supplied from the energy supplier to zero.

Abstract: A method of producing a liquid product stream, for example, a liquid nitrogen product stream, at a production rate that is selectively varied. This variation is produced in either a waste expansion or air expansion process by increasing the pressure and flow rate of the feed stream during periods in which a high rate of liquid production is desired without substantially increasing the pressure of the exhaust stream produced by a variable speed turboexpander. This increases the expansion ratio across the turboexpander and therefore the refrigeration supplied to increase liquid production. At the same time, the increase in flow rate prevents a decrease in the performance of the variable speed turboexpander.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are aquafeed, animal feed and fertilizer compositions comprising microalgae clinched with minerals and a method of enriching microalgae with minerals in non-metabolized form. Specifically, the method includes the creation of an enriched microalgae product through the assimilation, reversible chelation, and absorption of supplemental minerals required in the diet of adult fish and other aquatic animals which minimizes leaching of the supplemental minerals before ingestion by the fish. Additionally, the enriched microalgae product can be used as both a direct feed or fertilizer, or as part of an aquafeed, non-aquatic animal feed, or plant fertilizer mixture. The combination and proportion of the minerals can be adjusted to the animal or plant receiving the mineral enriched algae composition.

Abstract: An apparatus for making a cold-pilger-rolled tube has two grooved pilger rolls rotatable about respective axes to compress a workpiece moving in a travel direction against a mandrel extending in the direction between a nip formed between the rolls and anchored upstream of the nip in a thrust block. Workpiece thickness is adjusted on the fly by measuring a wall thickness of the workpiece downstream in the direction from the roll as the workpiece passes through the nip and for displacing the thrust block and mandrel in to the travel direction as the workpiece passes through the nip in accordance with the measured wall thickness.

Abstract: The invention relates to a machine for the hot dispensing of brass or aluminium plugs of predetermined lengths, obtained by cutting an elongated brass or aluminium bar. The invention is advantageous in that there is no loss of material in the cut pieces and the manufacturing process costs and times are very competitive. The machine can very accurately cut bars made from standard brass, as well as special brass, and can manufacture plugs using a “just in time” production system. The invention consists of a single compact body essentially comprising: means for progressively heating more than one brass or aluminium bar such that the bar closest to the outlet is the hottest bar; means for automatically pushing the bar nearest the outlet towards cutting means; and means for transversally cutting the pre-heated bar, thus forming plugs.

Abstract: The aim of this invention is easy to use, practical, light, compact, mobile tool, designed for restoration of the formwork props. This tool very effectively removes uneven places and dents present inside the formwork prop without the need for electric power. No special premises or sites are needed for restoration of the formwork props. The tool is very compact and easily packed into a case-shaped box. When performing formwork prop restoration works, no special physical power of a person is necessary. All of the previously mentioned characteristics are ensured by the special design of this tool, where one ending is inlet into the damaged formwork prop close to the place, which is to be repaired, while the other ending, when using the screwdriver, is rotated around its axis. This rotary motion in one ending of the tool pulls the wedge, which is in the other ending of the tool, and, in this way, it spreads the plates, which touch the walls of the formwork prop, and evens them.

Abstract: An elevated temperature forming system in which a sheet metal workpiece is provided in a first stage position of a multi-stage pre-heater, is heated to a first stage temperature lower than a desired pre-heat temperature, is moved to a final stage position where it is heated to a desired final stage temperature, is transferred to a forming press, and is formed by the forming press. The preheater includes upper and lower platens that transfer heat into workpieces disposed between the platens. A shim spaces the upper platen from the lower platen by a distance greater than a thickness of the workpieces to be heated by the platens and less than a distance at which the upper platen would require an undesirably high input of energy to effectively heat the workpiece without being pressed into contact with the workpiece.

The hot strip with scale adhering to it is cold-rolled into a steel flat product, the cold-rolled steel flat product is annealed and the annealed steel flat product is descaled. According to the invention, the cold-rolled steel flat product obtained after cold rolling the hot strip is subjected to descaling treatment in the hard-rolled state before annealing, in which the scale present on the cold-rolled steel flat product is mechanically removed. In this way, methods and production lines can be implemented, by means of which cold-rolled steel flat products can be produced cost-effectively from non-corroding steel with an improved surface finish.
