Publication number: 20130284490Abstract: An electrical wiring system/method that overcomes dangers associated with transient voltages in electrical system wiring harnesses by controlling the voltage differential between NEUTRAL and GROUND wires with respect to HOT wire(s) within an electrical cable during TVSS faulting conditions is disclosed. This voltage control minimizes the temporary voltage rise in chassis potential of a grounded appliance that may occur during TVSS operation or during an internal equipment short or GROUND fault condition. The system/method accomplishes this goal by asymmetrically configuring the wiring conductance paths associated with the NEUTRAL or GROUND conductors within the wiring harness and in some preferred embodiments configures the NEUTRAL and GROUND wires to have larger cross sectional areas than the HOT wire(s). The system/method may in some preferred embodiments be advantageously implemented in commercial/residential applications involving alternating current (AC) power distribution and the like.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 25, 2012Publication date: October 31, 2013Inventor: Mark E. A cover film is attached to a hollow present in predetermined regions set on a surface of the exterior film. The predetermined regions are regions obtained by removing overlap regions from projected regions obtained by projecting the electrode plates to the surface of the exterior film, the overlap regions being regions where the projected regions overlap with members interposed between the electrode plates at the outermost layers and the exterior film. It is possible to cover the hollow on the surface, without increasing the thickness of the film covered battery.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 5, 2011Publication date: October 31, 2013Inventors: Tsuguhiro Oonuma, Masatomo Mizuta, Yuko Hayashi, Akinori Miura, Tetsuya Yakawa

Publication number: 20130284532Abstract: A steering system can include a steering control valve, primary and secondary sources of pressurized fluid, and a controller. The primary and secondary sources of pressurized fluid can be fluidly connected to the steering control valve. The primary source of pressurized fluid can be configured to sense a load pressure requirement from the steering control valve. The controller can be communicably coupled to the primary and secondary sources of pressurized fluid. The controller can monitor a margin pressure of the primary source of pressurized fluid. The controller can determine an operational status of the primary source of pressurized fluid based on the monitored margin pressure.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 25, 2012Publication date: October 31, 2013Applicant: Caterpillar Inc.Inventors: Brian J. Publication number: 20130284533Abstract: An excitation device for downhole seismic testing, includes an excitation hammer, a holding arm connected at one end thereof to the excitation hammer to allow the excitation hammer to rotate about the other end thereof, a support post having the other end of the holding arm rotatably coupled to an upper end thereof to support the excitation hammer and the holding arm at a certain height, and an excitation source configured to allow the support post to stand upright on the upper side thereof and which generates a seismic wave when struck by the rotated excitation hammer. The support post is formed at a lower end thereof with a securing section detachably inserted into a groove for the support post formed on the upper side of the excitation source such that the support post, the holding arm, the excitation hammer and the excitation source can be separated from each other.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 28, 2013Publication date: October 31, 2013Inventor: Chang-Guk SUN

Publication number: 20130284534Abstract: The invention is an electric powered mechanism for lifting and lowering at the wheels for an electric sweep type seismic vibrator source of the type used in seismic prospecting for hydrocarbons. The source uses an engine and generator combination to create electric power for all systems on the source such as driving a frame of linear electric motors that direct a rod or piston to contact the ground in a recurring fashion along with driving the source from location to location through a survey area. Preferably a foot is arranged on the bottom end of the rod or piston for contact with the ground and by engaging the grid of motors to push down against the ground in a rapid progression, acoustic energy is created and delivered into the ground for geophones to sense and record.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 30, 2013Publication date: October 31, 2013Applicant: CONOCOPHILLIPS COMPANYInventors: Peter M. Publication number: 20130284536Abstract: A speaker device includes a cabinet from which a duct for adjusting the back pressure protrudes, a speaker unit mounted in the cabinet, and an intermediate hollow member including first and second connection portions. A cabin space in which the cabinet is installed is separated from a non-cabin space by a partition wall. If there is a subframe facing the partition wall, the duct cannot be directly connected to the opening formed in the partition wall. The intermediate hollow member is disposed in a small space between the subframe and the partition wall, the second connection portion is connected to the opening, and the duct is connected to the first connection portion.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 8, 2013Publication date: October 31, 2013Applicant: Alpine Electronics, Inc.Inventors: Ryo Ito, Akio Suzuki, Arata Tada

Publication number: 20130284538Abstract: A stabilized, collapsible platform having two stages, each adjustable with respect to the other along a support column except to the extent restricted by a temporary lock. In a preferred embodiment, the platform may be adjusted along the support column with each stage moving independently of the other, and, once in the desired position, the temporary lock may then be employed to restrict movement of the stages relative to one another. The temporary lock may additionally stabilize the platform against movement with respect to the support column.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 29, 2013Publication date: October 31, 2013Inventor: Roger Dale Hanner
