Abstract: An apparatus and system for passively sampling production fluid from a well is presented. The passive sampling device is used to split two-phase flow and provide a driving pressure differential for a sampling system. Flow through sampling systems require a low pressure differential to be utilized to take a liquid sample, so that the sample retained remains isobaric. When performed in two-phase flow, the pressure differential needs to be relatively high, potentially yielding a non-isobaric sample. By separating out the liquid content of the flow, a low driving pressure is allowed to be used. Thus, this keeps the sample isobaric at a wide range of production flow rates.

Abstract: A crank arm for a pedal-driven vehicle is described herein. The crank arm includes a first member that pivots about a crank axis of the pedal-driven vehicle and a second member rotationally coupled to the first member and configured to receive a pedal. The crank arm further includes a spring assembly configured to bias the second member towards a neutral rotation configuration relative to the first member and to resist rotation of the second member away from the neutral rotation configuration, wherein a distance between the crank axis and the pedal interface is greater than a distance between the crank axis and the member pivot point when the second member is in the neutral rotation configuration.

Abstract: An electro-mechanical drive-unit includes an input member, an output member, a drive-unit housing, and a gearing arrangement operatively connected to each of the output and input members. The drive-unit also includes a pump for circulating pressurized fluid and an electric motor. The electric motor includes a rotor connected to the gearing arrangement, a stator fixed relative to the drive-unit housing and having wire windings, and a motor housing configured to retain the rotor and the stator. The drive-unit also includes a fluid cavity between the drive-unit housing and the motor housing configured to receive the pressurized fluid. The drive-unit housing defines a passage in fluid communication with the fluid cavity. The drive-unit also includes a fastener having a head and a shank. The fastener is secured within the passage to facilitate discharging the fluid from under the fastener head onto the wire windings for cooling and/or lubrication thereof.

Abstract: A method for stripping a cable, the cable having a conductor encompassed by an insulation and extending in a longitudinal direction, includes cutting into the insulation with stripping blades, after which the insulation is removed by sliding the stripping blades in the longitudinal direction. During the removal procedure, the longitudinal position of the stripping blades is detected if it has been determined by a detection device that at least one of the stripping blades has come in contact with the conductor. Based on the longitudinal position of one or more contacts with the conductor, a classification of the cable as adequately or poorly stripped is carried out.

Abstract: An anti-abrasion open end quick turn wrench is suitable for rotating a fastener with a head portion and includes: a body and an assistant engaging member. When the head portion of the fastener is completely engaged in the engaging slot, the wrench is provided with anti-abrasion concaves to provide enough room to prevent the open end wrench from interfering with the angles of the head portion of the fastener, and consequently preventing abrasion of the head portion of the fastener. Meanwhile, at least three lateral surfaces of the head portion of the fastener will be clamped by the wrench, when one or two of the clamped four lateral surfaces of the fastener is damaged or worn out, the fastener still has at least two intact lateral surfaces clamped by the open end quick turn wrench, so it can still be rotated by the wrench.
