Abstract: A laminated optical disk, applied for lighting system or solar energy system, includes a plurality of annular lenses, a base and a circular light guiding unit. The annular lenses are arranged in order from center to outside to form a disk-structure. Each annular lens has a light-input curved surface and a light-output curved surface respectively matching the different thickness of the base. The light-input curved surface is opposite to the center. The light-output curved surface is opposite to the light-input curved surface, and facing to the center. The light is incident on the light-input curved surface, refracted and tended to concentrate by the light-input curved surface. Besides, the light exiting from the annular lens is to be refracted to the is direction of the center by the light-output curved surface. The base of the laminated optical disk can significantly improve the light leakage problem by different annular lenses.

Abstract: An apparatus for protecting an electrical network of an aircraft includes a power switch, an activation means coupled with the power switch, and a detection circuit connectable to the electrical network for detecting a voltage. The detection circuit is coupled with the activation means. The activation means is adapted for opening the power switch once the detected voltage is lower than a predetermined voltage. This is particularly advantageous for high voltage direct current networks temporarily, primarily or permanently powered by a fuel cell system.

Abstract: A measuring arrangement for determining at least one measured quantity with a sensor device and a transmitter device that has a control device, a switch device and a signal output setting device. The control device is connected to the signal output setting device in the case in which the switch device is in the first state. The signal output setting device generates a fault signal as an output signal when the switch device is in the second state and/or that the signal output setting device is free of a connection to the control device. The sensor device keeps the switch device in the first state when the sensor device is supplied with energy above a definable minimum value. The control device reduces the power supply of the sensor device to a definable boundary value when it recognizes the presence of a fault state.

Abstract: An ESD protection device providing highly reliable insulation and having good discharge characteristics is provided. An ESD protection device has opposing first and second discharge electrodes, an auxiliary discharge electrode (18) astride between the first and second discharge electrodes, and an insulating substrate (12) supporting the first and second discharge electrodes and the auxiliary discharge electrode (18). The auxiliary discharge electrode (18) is composed of an assembly of core-shell metal particles (24) that have a core portion (22) mainly composed of a first metal and a shell portion (23) mainly composed of a metal oxide that contains a second metal. The metal particles (24) are substantially completely covered with the shell portion (23) mainly composed of the metal oxide, and this improves the insulation reliability of the device against discharge. Preferably, the metal particles (24) have a bond with each other with a vitreous substance (27) therebetween.
