Abstract: An apparatus, system, and method corrects line deficiency in radiographic systems. A Fourier transform element provides a one-dimensional Fourier transform on a line orthogonal to a line of a moire patterns appearing in an X-ray image during a use. A peak frequency detection element detects the peak frequency indicating the spatial frequency of the moire pattern on the basis of the results of one-dimensional Fourier transform. The detected peak frequency is transformed to a number of pixels in 1 cycle of the moire pattern by a pixel cycle conversion element. The line deficiency correction element obtains pixels of the same phase as the line deficiency pixel in the moire pattern from the number of pixels, and then corrects the line deficiency pixel by using the pixel value thereof. Since the number of pixels in 1-cycle is acquired from the moire pattern in the X-ray image, the line deficiency can be corrected.

Abstract: Systems and methods for audio difference detection are described. One embodiment includes a memory component that stores logic that, when executed by a processor, causes a vehicle amplifier to receive a test input signal for a generic test sequence to determine a standard input signal for producing a desired output response signal, store the standard input signal with standard amplifier settings associated with the standard input signal, and receive an audio signal from a head unit of the vehicle, where the head unit is part of the vehicle audio system for the vehicle in which the vehicle amplifier is utilized. In some embodiments, the logic causes the vehicle amplifier to determine whether there is a difference between the audio signal and the standard input signal and in response to determining there is a difference, and adjust vehicle amplifier settings of the vehicle amplifier, such that vehicle speakers output the desired output response signal.

Abstract: A sound source detecting system that detects a predetermined sound source on the basis of sounds collected by sound collectors includes: a noise extracting unit that extracts a noise from signals of the collected sounds; and a noise suppressing unit that suppresses a signal component of the noise extracted by the noise extracting unit from the signals of the collected sounds. The sound source detecting unit detects a location of the predetermined sound source, such as an approaching vehicle, using information about the sounds having the signals of which the noise is suppressed.

Abstract: Smart notification appliances used in a mass notification system (MNS) have integrated software and distributed hardware for real time information to in-building, immediate vicinity and distributed recipients during emergency situations. Programmable control configurations in the smart notification appliances provide flexible installations. A distributed architecture system provides distributed intelligence in the smart notification appliances for maximum survivability and robust operation of the MNS. Audio messages are stored in each smart notification appliance with a one-to-one relationship to a speaker circuit. This configuration provides any circuit with either a live page or a plurality of preconfigured messages, in effect a multi-channel system limited only by the number of stored messages and controllable by software. Similarly, programmable light strobe intensity, flash rate and color may be controlled through the smart notification appliances.

Abstract: Systems and methods for altering display output based on seat position are described. One embodiment of a method includes receiving desired frequency response data for a plurality of different audio outputs and a nominal seat position, determining a current seat position of a seat in the vehicle, and implementing a test sequence based on the seat position. Some embodiments include determining from the test sequence received frequency response data for the amplifier to utilize for the seat position, comparing the received frequency response data and the desired frequency response data, and in response to determining that the desired frequency response data does not substantially match the received frequency response data, altering settings on the amplifier such that the received frequency response data substantially matches the desired frequency response data.

Abstract: The present invention relates in one aspect to a method of detecting diaphragm excursion of an electrodynamic loudspeaker. The method comprises steps of generating an audio signal for application to a voice coil of the electrodynamic loudspeaker and adding a high-frequency probe signal to the audio signal to generate a composite drive signal. The method further comprises a step of applying the composite drive signal to the voice coil through an output amplifier and detecting a modulation level of a probe signal current flowing through the voice coil.

Abstract: Wearable audio accessories for computing devices are described. In one embodiment the wearable audio accessory provides a speech based interface between the user and a nearby computing device for the performance of user-initiated or computing device initiated microtasks. Information is provided to the user via a loudspeaker and the user can provide input via a microphone. An audio sensing channel within the accessory continuously monitors the audio signal as detected by the microphone and in various embodiments will trigger more complex audio processing based on this monitoring. A wireless communication link is provided between the accessory and the nearby computing device. To mitigate any delay caused by the switching between audio processing techniques, the audio accessory may include a rolling buffer which continuously stores the audio signal and outputs a delayed audio signal to the audio processing engines.
