Abstract: Described herein is a gas meter system (5) for detecting toxic gas combinations including a housing (10) having an opening (20), a measuring cell (15) enclosed by the housing and comprising a plurality of gas sensors (17) in fluid communication with the environment via the opening in the housing, and an evaluating circuit (32). The gas sensors detects a concentration of a first gas and a concentration of a second gas so the evaluating circuit can identify a hazard due to an additive or synergistic toxic effect upon combined exposure to the first gas and the second gas. Related apparatus, systems, methods and/or articles are described.

A second embodiment uses multiple paint palettes in a modular system for use with mixed media. The palettes may be repositioned and held in place by magnets on the palette sides. Abstract: A container assembly includes sensors to detect events that occur in proximity to the container including thermal energy changes, light variances, and movement. For example, an item placed in or removed from an open end of the container, movement of the container, and shadows that pass over an open end of the container. The sensors detect the event then transmit a signal to a measuring or control instrument to trigger a predetermined illumination and/or audio signal. The sensors embed in a base portion of the container, operatively joining with a processor. Sensors include photocells for light, passive infra-red for temperature, and omni-directional sensors for movement. In this manner, movement, changes in temperature and light cause an illumination portion to emit light, and an audio portion to emit an audio signal to provide animation and safety features for the container.

A packaging which is equipped with one such band, a method of cutting the band, and a method of producing the packaging are also disclosed.

When the device is placed on the top of a cargo load, and a length of chain is extended over the device and secured to the trailer bed such that the chain does not contact the cargo, the cargo is secured and damage to the cargo from direct contact with the chain is prevented.
