Abstract: Provided is a novel oxygen-absorbing resin composition having excellent oxygen-absorbing performance and suppressing odor generation after absorption of oxygen even if a material responsive to a metal detector is not used. Further provided is an oxygen-absorbing resin composition having excellent oxygen-absorbing performance in a wide range of humidity conditions from low humidity to high humidity. Such an oxygen-absorbing resin composition contains a copolymerized polyolefin compound and a transition metal catalyst, in which the copolymerized polyolefin compound contains at least one constituent unit having a tetralin ring.

Abstract: A method of transporting a decarbonated beer base liquid may comprise packaging said decarbonated beer in package having a non-rigid wall defining an internal orifice wherein said decarbonated beer base liquid is hermetically sealed in said internal orifice. The method may further comprise stacking said packages in a geometrically efficient manner based on a flat-sided geometry of said package, and transporting said stacked packages. Another method of transporting a decarbonated beer base liquid may comprise packaging a decarbonated beer base liquid comprising at least about 0.1% wt ethyl alcohol, at least about 3% wt malt extract solids, and a carbon dioxide level between about zero grams per liter and about 1.5 grams per liter in a package having a non-rigid wall; and transporting said packages.

Abstract: Methods for changing a strip of sealed bag precursors in to open bags are disclosed. The apparatus used in the method is referred to as a transforming machine and includes a separation station and may include a perforation station and a piercing station. The perforation station forms a plurality of end perforations in the multiple layers of a strip of sealed bag precursors. The separation station separates the plurality of end perforations in at least one film layer of the trip to form a plurality of bag openings. The plurality of end perforation are torn by the separation station, which includes manipulating the rotation of a main roller, a pressure roller and at least one separation roller.

Abstract: A modular design for large pulse jet fabric filters (PJFF) is divided into similar compartments, which are each “shop-fabricated” in quarter sections prior to delivery to the power plant site. The quarter sections of the compartments are modular and sized so that they can be fabricated at a shop located away from the power plant site and transported by truck over public roads to the power plant site. Once delivered to the site, the quarter sections are bolted together and seal welded to form a PJFF compartment, without requiring additional internal fabrication or welding. The assembled compartment is then lifted onto the support structure as an assembled unit and bolted and/or welded in place. The additional components of the PJFF may also be shop-fabricated offsite to further the benefits of the modular design.

Abstract: A cyclone separator has a cyclone arrangement with individual cyclones each provided with a cell tube and guide device. The guide device causes a gas stream passing through the cell tube to rotate. At least one particle discharge is positioned perpendicularly to a longitudinal axis of the cyclone separator and discharges separated particles that have been separated from the gas stream in the cyclone arrangement. The cell tubes, for a targeted discharge of the separated particles, each have at least one particle outlet opening that is facing the particle discharge. The particle outlet openings of at least some of the individual cyclones, neighboring each other in the direction of a first perpendicular line that is perpendicular relative to the longitudinal axis of the cyclone separator, are displaced relative to each other in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the cyclone separator.

Abstract: Provided is a filter that filters air flowing from the filter to a downstream component, while preventing fluid from flowing from the filter to the downstream component and preventing a substance, such as urea or fuel, entering the filter from the downstream component from degrading the filter element in the filter. The filter includes a filter element having an interior surface defining an inner chamber and a standpipe extending through the inner chamber and terminating at a point that allows air that flows from outside the filter element through the filter element and into the inner chamber to flow into the standpipe and out of the filter, while preventing fluid flowing from the opposite direction through the standpipe from entering the filter element.
