Abstract: Part of an atmosphere gas in a heating zone and/or a soaking zone is sucked out and is cooled through a high-temperature gas passage of a heat exchanger by heat exchange with a gas in a low-temperature gas passage, then cooled through a gas cooler, then dehumidified to a dew point of ?45° C. or less in a dryer, then heated through the low-temperature gas passage of the heat exchanger by heat exchange with a gas in the high-temperature gas passage, and returned to the heating zone and/or the soaking zone. Part of gas flowing from the dryer toward the low-temperature gas passage of the heat exchanger is returned to a cooling zone. These can achieve a low dew point of ?45° C. or less with high energy efficiency.

Abstract: A flexible support shaft (10) configured to be arranged on a first object to flexibly support a second object moving relative to the first object is provided. The flexible support shaft comprises a first connecting flange (20) for being mounted on the first object, a compression spring (30) having one end arranged on the first connecting flange, an elastic member (40) configured to be embedded by the compression spring to change the elasticity of the compression spring, and a second connecting flange (50) arranged on the other end of the compression spring to support the second object. Because of the design of the compression spring and the elastic member thereon, the flexible support shaft acts not only as a support but also as a shock absorber for the second object in relative motion. Furthermore, since the compression spring is embedded in the elastic member, the elastic member changes the elasticity and rigidity of the compression spring.

Abstract: Unbonded fiber reinforced elastomeric isolators (FREIs) have desirable characteristics for seismic isolation, but the unbonded application also introduces several design limitations in comparison to bonded elastomeric isolators. Unbonded FREIs are not capable of resisting tensile forces, making this type of isolator inappropriate for situation where overturning is of concern or regions where large vertical accelerations are anticipated. Furthermore, since unbonded FREIs rely on friction to transfer horizontal forces, permanent slip could occur. Concerns over both transfer of tensile forces and permanent displacement can be obviated by partially bonding the FREI to the supports. In this way, partially bonded FREIs (PB-FREIs) retain the beneficial characteristics of an unbonded FREI, but also demonstrate characteristics of a bonded isolator, notably tensile forces can be transferred and potential permanent displacement is inhibited.
