Abstract: A Modular Architectural Cistern (MAC) may be provided. The cistern may be embodied as slim, vertically ribbed structure. The interior of the structure may be configured to receive, store, and output rainwater. The cistern may comprise slip-fit connection joints configured to allow a plurality of connections to other MACs. Connections with other MACs may increase the rainwater storage volume available to the MAC. Moreover, the MAC may be aesthetically designed so as to accompany various architectural structures without taking away from the aesthetic appeal of the structure.

Abstract: An improved extendable and collapsible container has a plurality of telescoping sleeves adapted to interlock with one another to form a desired volume. A base member attached to a bottom most sleeve and adapted to house the sleeves when the container is collapsed, and adapted to form a base of the container when the container is extended. A removable cap member attached to a top most sleeve and adapted to enclose the volume when the container is extended, the cap member includes a closable opening therethrough adapted to allow a substance to pass from the volume inside the container outward therefrom when desired. A sleeve locking mechanism adapted to lock the sleeves in respective positions when a desired volume is formed and unlock the sleeves from their respective positions when it is desired to collapse the container.

In one version, an upper container portion is telescopically connected to a lower container portion, with a lid removably attached to the upper container and a base removably attached to the lower container.

Abstract: A large load carrier having a rectangular, pallet-like floor part and lengthwise and crosswise side walls that rise from the floor part. Either the lengthwise side walls or the crosswise side walls have contact points for several frames disposed one above the other, in the region against the other side walls, as carriers for the inserts (layers) that carry the goods to be transported. The side walls can be folded on top of one another towards the inside, and the frames are releasably mounted in the contact points.

Abstract: A container is disclosed with a container modification in the form of slanted sides terminating respectively at a bottom residing within a lower horizontal plane and at a top residing within a least one higher horizontal plane. The container is further disclosed to provide containerization, ease of transportation, and accessibility to its use in working on a slanted roofing surface wherein the container, by the resultant relocation of its center of gravity, remains stable on a slanted roofing surface. Further, the container is disclosed to facilitate use as a receptacle in a toss game where articles are tossed, from a distance, into such receptacle. The facilitation results from providing a receptacle target with a lowered facing rim and a stabilizing effect from the slanted sides that limits mis-hits from toppling over the container/receptacle. Other uses are envisioned as well (such as the typical uses of a bucket) within the realm of the instant disclosure.

Abstract: Systems and methods for the packaging of air treatment devices are shown and described. In some embodiments, a package may be configured to store an air treatment device. For example, the air treatment device may be an air filter, cleaner, purifier, or the like. The package may include a first lateral surface configured to accommodate a proximal end of the air treatment device and a second lateral surface configured to accommodate a distal end of the air treatment device. The package may further comprise a middle surface coupled between the first and second lateral surfaces. In some cases, at least a portion of the first or second lateral surfaces may include an opaque area. Moreover, at least a portion of the middle surface may include a transparent or translucent area configured to reveal at least a portion of the air treatment device.

Abstract: Provided is a spouted bag body capable of having the same function as that of a check valve and allowing contents to easily come out by tilting a spout downward without applying excessive pressure to a bag body. A spouted bag body includes: a spout having a body portion formed in a cylindrical shape, and a valve portion disposed inside a cylindrical hole of the body portion; and a bag body attached to the body portion to seal an opening of the cylindrical hole on one side, in which the body portion is provided with a narrowed portion which protrudes from an inner surface of the cylindrical hole over an entire circumference thereof, and the valve portion includes a support portion attached to the body portion, and a movable portion which is formed of a material having elasticity, is connected to the support portion, and covers an opening of the narrowed portion on the other side by coming into contact with an edge portion of the opening of the narrowed portion on the other side.

Abstract: A method of sealing a peelable lid to a circumferential and inwardly projecting flange formed in a tubular metal can body, where the flange has a sealing surface having a substantially V-shaped profile. The method comprises pressing the peelable lid against the sealing surface of the flange using a punch, an engagement surface of the punch having a generally V-shaped profile such that the apex of the punch presses the peelable lid into the valley of the engagement surface of the flange.

Abstract: A container closure is provided. The container closure may include a male clip piece having an engaging tongue and a female piece having a receiving slot. Both pieces may have a mounting portion. The engaging tongue may include a plurality of uniformly spaced forward ramps defining a plurality of uniformly spaced troughs. The receiving slot may be a tube having an inner surface including a plurality of uniformly spaced rear ramps. A user may mount the container closure onto a container so that the female clip piece and the male clip piece may be on opposite sides of an opening of the container. The user may then urge the engaging tongue into the receiving slot so that at least one forward ramp may pass at least one rear ramp so that the at least one rear ramp may snap into the at least one trough thereby releasably interlocking the female clip piece and the male clip piece.

Abstract: A flex hinge closure with a drain-back channel is provided. The closure includes a base portion having a dispensing aperture, a raised pour lip formed along a perimeter of the dispensing aperture, a raised rib forming a closed shape surrounding the raised pour lip, and a drain-back channel defined by a space between the raised pour lip and the raised rib. The drain-back channel is configured to collect excess material dispensed via the dispensing aperture and to drain the excess material back to a receptacle. The closure further includes a cap portion hingedly connected to the base portion. The cap portion is configured to rotate relative to the base portion about the hinged connection between a closed position in which the cap portion covers the dispensing aperture and an open position in which the cap portion uncovers the dispensing aperture.

Abstract: A reusable food pouch having a removably insertable one-way valve is disclosed herein. The one-way valve may be used with the reusable food pouch if food product having a water-like consistency is being stored in the reusable food pouch to prevent spills if the reusable food pouch is inadvertently laid on its side. Conversely, the one-way valve may be removed from the reusable food pouch if the food product has a consistency more like thick oatmeal and/or applesauce to allow for free flow of the food product through a spout of the reusable food pouch.

Abstract: A preservation apparatus and method for using the same are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, the preservation apparatus comprising: a removable closure adapted to fit together in sealed relationship with a first container for containing an item, where the removable closure comprises a second container to contain a substance operable to collect oxygen molecules contained within the first container. The preservation apparatus also comprises a removable cap adapted to cover a portion of the removable closure including the second container, in order prevent the second container from being exposed to oxygen molecules outside the cap.

Abstract: A padlock, a key for unlocking the padlock, and a padlock display package are provided in combination. The padlock includes a shackle lockable with a lock body. The padlock display package includes a base member having a front side and a back side, a shackle retaining member extending from the front side of the base member, and a key retainer secured to the base member. The locked shackle of the padlock is positioned around at least a portion of the shackle retaining member to secure the padlock to the display package. The key retainer includes a cavity receiving at least a portion of the key therein, and the padlock prevents removal of the key from the key retainer.

Abstract: The improved substance applicator delivery container includes a substance applicator component infused or impregnated with a desired scent, perfume, essential oil, or chemical substance and retained between two cover sheets of material that is substantially impermeable to the infused or impregnated substance. The two cover sheets are releasably bonded through a polymer adhesive surrounding the substance applicator. The substance applicator component may also be bonded to the bottom cover sheet through a semi-rigid to rigid polymer carrier component, which provides additional control for application of the substance. The polymer adhesive may be deposited in a chevron-shaped feature near the top edge of the packet to allow for controlled opening of the packet. Gripping ridges near the top edge of the packet further assist the controlled opening of the packet.

The two lids may be operable to open in concert in response to a user asserting a single force applied on one of the lids. For example, the lid assembly may be configured such that the assertion of an opening force on one of the lids is transferred via the linkage to the other lid so that both lids open at a similar rate.

Abstract: A method of making a thermally insulated sandwich polyurethane (PUR) shipper for a temperature sensitive payload is provided. The method comprises the steps of mounting an inner box upside down on a tool, adhering an insulating panel to the outer facing surfaces of the inner box, positioning an outer box around the inner box assembly, pouring liquid polyurethane into the gap between the outer box and inner box assembly, and foaming the liquid polyurethane. The PUR foam fills the space between the VIP panels and the outer box, and preferably covers the VIP panels.

The tablets are pushed by the waves so as to proceed forward in the rotational direction.

Abstract: A cassette for dispensing pharmaceuticals includes a base defining an outlet and having a drive member. The drive member is configured to be rotated. The cassette also includes a plurality of plate assemblies supported by the base in a stacked configuration. Each disk is rotatable relative to the corresponding plate body by rotating the drive member of the base to selectively align each cubby with the opening in the plate body.

Abstract: A paint roller and paint brush bag dispensing system for conveniently providing storage for bags to preserve or dispose of paint roller covers and paint brushes features a body with a body cavity located inside. The system includes a paint roller bag dispenser device, a paint roller cover, a paint roller cover frame with handle, a plastic bag roil, and an optional paint extension pole. A bag slot is located on a body side wall and is fluidly connected to the body cavity. A first male attachment is located on a body first end and a mated first female attachment is located on a body second end. The system features a roll of plastic bags attached to one another in the body cavity. A first end of the roil of plastic bags is placed through and extends from the bag slot for pulling out a bag and detaching it from the roll of plastic bags when needed.

Abstract: A beverage container or package that includes an internal surface for promoting nitrogen bubble nucleation and growth. The surface incorporates a plurality of nanoscale structures, e.g. between 6 and 100 nanometres in size. Most preferably the structures are pits, greater than 15 nm in depth/height. Upon opening the container filled with a Nitrogen (and carbon dioxide) supersaturated beverage, a foaming effect occurs which provides a desirable head of fine bubbles when transferred to a drinking glass.

Abstract: The recycling receptacle described herein addresses these problems by providing a physical examples of items to be recycled as part of a recycling receptacle. The recycling receptacle includes a container portion for storing material to be recycled in a chamber and a communication portion for communicating what material should be recycled. The communication portion includes an opening in fluid communication with the container portion chamber and a visible cell that contains examples of materials that should be recycled.

Abstract: A transfer device includes an arm and a controller. The arm includes a first hook capable of entering and exiting a first abutment position, a second hook capable of entering and exiting a second abutment position, and a third hook capable of entering and exiting a third abutment position. After the articles placed on the first and second placement areas are unloaded onto the shelf, the controller retracts the arm so that the second hook is spaced apart from the front end of the article unloaded from the first placement area and the rear end of the article unloaded from the second placement area, and removes the second hook from the second abutment position with the second hook being spaced apart from the front end of the article unloaded from the first placement area and from the rear end of the article unloaded from the second placement area.

Embodiments of the system of the present invention include a movement mechanism, an archival structure, and a software program. Embodiments of the device are configured to acquire a specimen, transport the specimen to a unique location in the archival structure, and store information regarding specimen identification and storage location.

Abstract: A method of and device for generating an identifiable signal to facilitate an order picking process are disclosed. The method and device can be used on an order picking station having containers with items to be picked. In some embodiments, the station has multiple shelves having signal generating devices coupled with each of the containers on the shelves. The device takes the information of the items to be picked and generate identifiable signals, such that the device provides visual effects to facilitate workers' picking and gathering efficiency.

Abstract: A hydraulic device is provided capable of moving heavy loads along a slotted track. The hydraulic device has a cylinder and piston unit, a jack that is connected to one or more ratcheting claws, and a sliding member having slots for placement of one or more ratcheting claws. To prevent brittle fracture of the hydraulic device during the movement of heavy loads under extreme cold conditions, the hydraulic device has a chamber for placement of heatable members that heat various elements of the hydraulic device, thereby reducing the likelihood of brittle fracture of the hydraulic device during operation. The hydraulic device may have one or more pairs of tandem ratchet claws that evenly distribute load forces along the slotted track. The device may also have detachable side weldments that hold the jack and claws for easy placement and removal of the device on a beam.

Abstract: A conveying surface is defined by outputs with respective orientations that can be varied while maintaining the input in a constant orientation, and which can be used to more than a single direction. Power may be transmitted from a source of linear power to the conveying surface through rotation about an axis perpendicular to the conveying surface. Debris can be removed from articles conveyed on the outputs defining the conveying surface. The outputs of the conveying surface can include debris control structures to control migration of debris into the outputs.

Abstract: The present invention is based upon the discovery that neodymium polybutadiene rubber can be built onto heavy duty conveyor belts as a carry cover layer to greatly improve the wear resistance of the belt. Such heavy duty conveyor belts are of particular value for utilization in the mining of iron ore, copper ore, coal, and other abrasive materials. These belts accordingly offer a longer service life, reduce mine down-time, reduce costs, and improve overall mine productivity without having an adverse effect on worker health or safety, and without detrimentally impacting the environment. The present invention more specifically discloses a conveyor belt which is comprised of a carry cover layer, a reinforcement layer which is situated below the carry cover layer, and a pulley cover layer which is situated below the reinforcement layer, wherein the carry cover layer is comprised of neodymium polybutadiene rubber.

Abstract: A bread conveying apparatus includes a flight conveyer including a first flight for urging a bread, an endless revolving member on which the first flight is mounted, and a driving member and a driven member, the endless revolving member being wound around the driving member and driven member, a rail extending along a conveying path of the bread and supporting the first flight, and a rail size setting unit for setting a length of the rail with respect to an extending direction of the conveying path. The length of the rail with respect to the conveying direction is set by the rail size setting unit based on a size of the bread.

Abstract: A conveyor body for conveying mineral material includes a middle section having a first end and a second end, and a first pivot axis passes through the first end of the middle section, and the middle section is arranged to be pivoted around the first pivot axis from an operation position of the conveyor to a transport position and back to the operation position, and a second pivot axis passes through the second end of the middle section to pivot a head section sideways around the second pivot axis from the operation position of the conveyor which head section is connectable to the middle section through the second pivot axis, wherein the middle section includes a top plate, a bottom plate, and vertical side plates which are fixed between the top plate and the bottom plate.

Abstract: A belt tensioner assembly is described for a seeding machine that moves seed along a seed path with a seed-transport belt, the seed-transport belt being contained by a belt housing and supported by a fixed belt support. An adjustment mechanism may have an input member accessible from outside the belt housing and a positioning member disposed within the belt housing, the positioning member changing positions in response to user input applied to the input member. A transfer mechanism may be coupled to the positioning member and to a movable belt support, and may move in response to the change in positions of the positioning member. User input to the adjustment mechanism may vary the tension of the seed-transport belt by changing the positioning of the positioning member to move the transfer mechanism and drive the movable belt support along a centerline extending between the fixed and movable belt supports.

Abstract: A conveyor take-up device may include a carriage, a pulley, a counterweight assembly, at least one connector, and at least one safety restraint. The carriage may be movably joined to a support structure and may support the pulley, which may be configured for operative association with an endless conveyor belt. The counterweight assembly may include a counterweight arm, a tension arm, and a counterweight. The counterweight arm may be pivotally joined to the support structure and configured to move between upper and lower limit positions. The tension arm may extend generally transversely from a first end portion of the counter-weight arm with the counterweight supported by the counterweight arm distal from the tension arm. The connector may be joined to the carriage at one end portion of connector and to the tension arm at a second end portion that is distal the first end portion of the connector.

Abstract: A moving floor system that includes a moving work surface to move work products from an upstream end to a downstream end. The moving work surface is formed from a plurality of individual carts joined to each other. The stack of carts is moved along upper support rails located at an upper level. When each individual cart reaches the downstream end, a downstream lift conveyor moves the individual cart from the upper level to a lower level. When at the lower level, each individual cart is returned from the downstream end to the upstream end. When each individual cart reaches the upstream end, an upstream lift conveyor returns the individual carts from the lower level to the upper level. An upper drive mechanism provides the motive force to move the stack of carts along the upper level at the working speed.

Abstract: The system is provided for repositioning flat-disposed objects that can be arranged in an overlapping manner at a system inlet. The system includes a first and a second lateral deviation conveyor, each having an inlet located downstream the inlet of the system. The system also includes a diverting device creating a first transport circuit ending on the right side of a common receiving zone, and a second transport circuit ending on the left side of the common receiving zone. The system can invert the orientation of the objects transported in the first transport circuit with reference to the objects transported in the second transport circuit. The system can advantageously be used with objects having a variable thickness and in particular with folding cartons in a flat configuration.

Abstract: A one-piece container gripper for suspending containers from a container region beneath a container mouth has segments, a locking portion, and a spring portion. On a front side of the container gripper, the segments define a container mount between them. The spring portion exerts a closing force pre-stressing the segments, thus urging the container mount to close. The segments can be moved apart against a spring-exerted closing force to open the gripper. The locking portion, which is integral with the container gripper, moves resiliently between a position that locks the gripper and a position that unlocks it.

As stated in 37 C.F.R. §1.72(b): A brief abstract of the technical disclosure in the specification must commence on a separate sheet, preferably following the claims, under the heading “Abstract of the Disclosure.” The purpose of the abstract is to enable the Patent and Trademark Office and the public generally to determine quickly from a cursory inspection the nature and gist of the technical disclosure. The abstract shall not be used for interpreting the scope of the claims. Therefore, any statements made relating to the abstract are not intended to limit the claims in any manner and should not be interpreted as limiting the claims in any manner.
