Abstract: This invention provides a decorating device for vehicle-interior components, which can accurately provide gradation on the design of the surface of a resin component. The decorating device comprises a laser-irradiating device and a control device. The control device comprises a virtual-decorating surface 5a that is deformed so as to have a different curvature than the surface of the actual decorating surface 5, thus allowing for the drawing of designs thereon. The control device prepares laser-irradiating data based on the drawing-data, and it controls the laser-irradiating device based on the laser-irradiating data. The laser-irradiating device irradiates the laser L1 focused on the virtual-decorating surface 5a and conducts the laser processing on the actual decorating surface 5, with the focal point of the laser L1 having been shifted from the actual decorating surface 5.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for forming at least one structure on a substrate. By means of a low-temperature plasma jet, powder, of which the structure shall be constructed, is applied to a surface of the substrate. By means of at least one laser beam, heat is input into the substrate and/or the powder within a laser incidence region on the substrate. The heat input delays solidification of the powder particles, which are partly or fully melted in the plasma jet, on the substrate and thereby enables the formation of good adhesion between the applied powder, and thus the structure constructed thereof, and the substrate. The invention further relates to an apparatus for performing the method.

Abstract: A robot controller for ensuring safety of an operator, which is capable of reducing operational cost by avoiding unnecessary emergency stop of a robot. A teaching pendant has an emergency stop button for interrupting drive power for the robot, and a main body of the controller has a signal part which receives an emergency stop signal from the teaching pendant when the emergency stop button is pushed, and a power interrupting part which interrupts the drive power for the robot when the signal part receives the emergency stop signal under a predetermined condition. Until a first predetermined period of time has passed after a connection/disconnection switch is operated, the power interrupting part does not interrupt the drive power when a connection-recognition signal representing that the teaching pendant is connected to the main body is not generated, even when the emergency stop signal is input from the teaching pendant.
