Publication number: 20160089677Abstract: A high-gradient permanent magnet apparatus for capturing paramagnetic particles, the apparatus comprising: (i) at least two permanent magnets positioned with like poles facing each other; (ii) a ferromagnetic spacer separating the like poles; and (iii) a magnetizable porous filling material in close proximity to the at least two permanent magnets. Also described is a method for capturing paramagnetic particles in which a gas or liquid sample containing the paramagnetic particles is contacted with the high-gradient permanent magnet apparatus described above; wherein, during the contacting step, the gas or liquid sample contacts the magnetizable porous filling material of the high-gradient permanent magnet apparatus, and at least a portion of the paramagnetic particles in the gas or liquid sample is captured on the magnetizable porous filling material.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 28, 2015Publication date: March 31, 2016Inventors: Mengdawn CHENG, Gerard Michael LUDTKA, Larry R. Publication number: 20160089678Abstract: A device and method is provided for separating associated ions within a gaseous fluid stream into a first population of positively-charged hydrated hydrogen ions and a second population of gaseous hydrated anions. The device employs a housing and spinning wheel within a vacuum chamber to expose a flow of associated ions to a combination of microwaves and magnetic energy within the vacuum to cause bifurcation of the associated ions into a first population of positively-charged hydrated hydrogen ions and a second population of gaseous hydrated anions which may be collected in reservoirs. The collected two populations can be further channeled through a transformer to electrically induce a force for locomotion or communication.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 20, 2015Publication date: March 31, 2016Inventor: Charles Burdick

Publication number: 20160089681Abstract: A force amplifying driver system including an actuator with a powered actuating member mounted for movement along a first distance “X”. A driven member mounted for movement along a second distance or working distance “Y” which is less than the first distance “X”. The powered actuating member is movable through a gap “Z” before being mechanically coupled with the driven member and subsequently moves with the driven member along the second distance “Y”. Energy is transferred from the powered actuating member to the driven member along the second or working distance “Y”. The force amplifying driver system may be used for actuating a fluid jetting dispenser.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 7, 2015Publication date: March 31, 2016Inventors: Laurence B. Publication number: 20160089682Abstract: A modular spray gun manifold having a plurality of spray gun modules arranged in a lateral array each separated by an adjacent support assembly. Each spray gun module has a central liquid passage communicating with a spray nozzle and a transversely oriented liquid inlet port communicating through an outer side of the spray gun module for connection with an independently controllable liquid supply. The spray gun modules further include a recirculation port communicating between the central passageway and a recirculation conduit in an adjacent support assembly. A control valve of each module is operable when in open spraying position for blocking communication of liquid from the central passageway to the circulation port and when in a valve closing position blocking the liquid flow to the spray nozzle while redirecting liquid from the liquid inlet to the recirculation port for recirculation through the manifold array.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 23, 2014Publication date: March 31, 2016Inventors: David C. Publication number: 20160089683Abstract: An air gun with sucking function comprises a gun body, an air intake control set and an airflow switching and controlling element. The air gun with sucking function of the present invention employs the airflow switching and controlling element disposed inside the gun tube of the gun body for switching an airflow flowing direction and converting an airflow ejection into a sucking airflow in order to meet various work requirements by switching to different functions. When it is switched for sucking airflow for cleaning, dust can be prevented from flying around and therefore is healthier for breathing.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 29, 2014Publication date: March 31, 2016Inventor: KUEI-CHU HU

Publication number: 20160089684Abstract: A built-in liquid dispensing device for maintaining a germ-free environment within a vehicle. The built-in liquid dispensing device includes a compartment having an upper wall, a lower wall, one or more sidewalls, and an open front wall that provides access to the interior thereof. The open front wall is removably covered by a door that is pivotally secured to the upper wall. The device further includes a liquid dispenser that is disposed within a recessed area located on the lower wall of the compartment. The recessed area allows the liquid dispenser to remain in a stationary position while the vehicle is in motion. A plurality of fasteners are secured to the interior of the compartment in order to prevent the dispenser from falling out of the compartment. The built-in liquid dispensing device can be integrated into a vehicle's dashboard, center console, or rear seats.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 1, 2015Publication date: March 31, 2016Inventor: Clydell Duncan
