Abstract: A golf tee having a contact alert coating provides a novel training aid that is economical, compact, and encourages proper golfing form. The golf tee has a golf tee body with a top plate, top wall and side walls. The top plate is fixedly attached to a shaft which terminates into a point that is inserted into a ground surface when a ball is placed on the top plate. A contact alert coating is coated on at least an upper portion of the golf tee body. The contact alert coating is composed of a material that will generate an alert when a golf club head strikes the ball and strikes the contact alert coating of the golf tee at the coating/golf tee interface. Preferably, the material is a spark inducing composition or a spark and sound generating composition.

Abstract: A sports bat system includes a bat body, a barrel end assembly and a handle end assembly. The bat body includes a barrel section and a handle section that is connected to the barrel section. The barrel end assembly is secured to the barrel section. The barrel end assembly can include a removable first weight. The handle end assembly is secured to the handle section. The handle end assembly can include a removable second weight. The first weight and the second weight can be interchangeable with one another. The barrel end assembly can include a first weight retainer that is fixedly secured to the barrel section and selectively retains the first weight. The sports bat system can also include plurality of removable first weights that are alternately retained by the first weight retainer. In some embodiments, each of the first weights can have a different mass from one another, can be the same size and shape as one another and/or can be formed from a different material from one another.

An intermediate surface operably connected to a mechanical or an electrical triggering mechanism is included in the receptacle. When the first gaming object falls into the receptacle and hits the intermediate surface, the intermediate surface causes activation of the triggering mechanism to directly or indirectly propel the second gaming objects, through the chambers, into one or more different spatial directions. A hand or foot lever allows players to reset the triggering mechanism for the next game.

Embodiments of the apparatus include a base, foot receptacles, a torso stabilizer, a swing channel, and a shaft. In disclosed embodiments, the user attaches himself or herself to the torso stabilizer and grasps the shaft. The shaft may be confined to travel along the swing channel and thereby trains the user to swing with the proper motion.

Abstract: A snowboard training apparatus for transferring the feel of toe side and heel side of a snowboard from an instructor to a snowboard learner is disclosed. The training apparatus includes a training rod having a first and second end. The first end and second end of the training rod can be adapted to be supported by a snowboarder's leg, snowboarder's boot, snowboard's bindings or a snowboard itself. The training apparatus can also include a second training rod.

Abstract: The invention relates to a heel-piece for binding a boot on a gliding board that includes a frame including a vertical extension; a body rotatably mounted about the extension; at least two rods supported by the body, extending on respective sides of the vertical extension, the two rods each having a free end to cooperate with a housing in the heel of the boot; and a holding mechanism for maintaining a spacing between the free ends of the rods. The vertical extension supports at least one contact zone fixed in relation to the frame. Each rod cooperates with a respective portion of the contact zone, specific to each rod. The contact zone is arranged such that a rotation of the body about the extension, from a descent configuration, causes an increased spacing between the two rods. The invention also relates to a binding system and a gliding board equipped with such a binding.

Abstract: An educational and interactive strategic thinking game is shown with a deck of distinct game cards. The deck of distinct game cards includes a distinct first subset having a plurality of symbol game cards and a distinct second subset having a plurality of follower game cards. Each symbol game card has a front face including a plurality of distinct sections including a top section having a first symbol, a bottom section having a second symbol, a right-side section having a third symbol, and a left-side section having a distinct second number in an exemplary range of 1 to 15. The plurality of follower game cards can only be used together with symbol game cards. The deck of distinct game cards can include an illustration card including the instructions of the educational and interactive strategic thinking game displayed thereon. A method of playing an educational and strategic thinking game is provided.

Abstract: Methods of administering wagering games include accepting an ante wager from at least one player to participate in a poker game according to a set of poker game rules and accepting a bonus wager from the at least one player to participate in a bonus game according to a set of bonus game rules. A set of player cards are dealt to the player and to a dealer. The ante wager and the bonus wager are resolved according to the set of poker game rules and the set of bonus game rules, respectively. A dealer payout is paid to at least one of a dealer and a dealer pool when the at least one player receives a winning outcome in the bonus game. The dealer does not make a wager to receive the dealer payout. Games of the present disclosure may be implemented as live card games, multi-player EGM games, on-line games, and live card games with electronic betting interfaces.

Abstract: Various embodiments are directed to techniques for reducing electric power employed by devices of a game play monitoring system that collects data during game play in a sport. An apparatus may include an interaction detection component to monitor an interaction sensor of a playing piece to detect an interaction with a body, generate playing piece data recording an aspect of the interaction and determine whether the interaction maintains the playing piece within a close proximity to the body; and a communications component to use electric power from a power source to wirelessly transmit the playing piece data to a player device carried by the body via shorter range wireless communications or to an access point device via longer range wireless communications based on the determination, the shorter range wireless communications to consume electric power of the power source at a lesser rate. Abstract: Aspects of the present invention allow a touch screen device to operate as a gamepad for a video game running on a separate gaming device. Aspects of the present invention provide a virtual control interface through the touch screen that includes virtual game controls that perform the same function as a directional pad, buttons, triggers, and sticks found on a gamepad or other game controller. In one aspect, the virtual control interface provides an output that is substantially similar to an output generated by a gamepad able to interact with the gaming device. Substantially similar outputs allow a gaming device to respond to a functional control from a gamepad and an equivalent functional control from the virtual control interface the same way and without translation. Aspects of the present invention can provide different virtual control interfaces for different video game titles, different genres, and based on user customization.

Abstract: A joystick, or video game controller, comprising a plurality of a plurality of piezoelectric depressible buttons and/or thermoelectric generators for powering the joystick. Piezoelectric components are disposed beneath depressible buttons and a plurality of directional keypads on the video game controller in some embodiments. The controller, in some embodiments, has a housing comprising an upper housing and lower housing, knob, buttons and triggers. The controller is configured for manual manipulation, while the underside of the base is configured to contact and be supported by the depressible buttons of the keypad. The controller may comprise one or more linear electric generators.

Abstract: A computer implemented method of controlling a display of a computer device comprising: rendering on the display a game board having selectable game objects and detecting a user input to select a game object to cause the game object to move in a direction. When a selected game object is moved to an adjacent new tile location, the game object at that tile location is swapped with the selected game object. Match data for the selected game object is generated indicating whether the move results in at least three game objects of the same characteristic occupying adjacent tile locations in the game board, and, if so, the move is implemented and an animation of the move is rendered, wherein the selected game object slides in the direction up to a blocking condition which prevents further movement.

Match data is generated if the move results in at least three game objects of the same characteristic occupying adjacent tile locations, which are removed from the rendered image. At least some of the identified transaction types and measured audit parameters corresponding to the transactions are recorded. A gamification module associates the measured audit parameters with game parameters. Motivational imagery such as a scoreboard is generated for display.

Influent waste water is directed vertically upward into the center of the deflector dome which distributes the influent radially into contact, preferably turbulent, with previously introduced waste water containing first entrained solids to cause coalescence of the first and second entrained solids to form larger particles having increased settling velocity.

More specifically, the present disclosure teaches the composition and use of aromatic compounds that are semi-volatile organic compounds (SVOCs) or slow evaporators in water-based carriers with surfactants as the misting/fogging agent for dust suppression. The particulate material is lowered to surfaces and removed by vacuuming, damp-wiping or using a dry cloth with a cationic charge (static cloth). This method can be achieved with neutral air pressure differentials in the work areas.

Abstract: A system and method for removing unwanted elements from a gas stream. A biogas stream may be combined with a water stream influent in a venturi device to produce a gas-water mixture effluent. The gas-water mixture effluent is processed in a degas separator to separate and produce a relatively low solubility gas effluent and a relatively high solubility gas-water mixture effluent. The relatively high solubility gas-water mixture effluent is processed through a discharge pressure control valve based on a selected pressure to be maintained in said degas separator and then discharged or reused.

Abstract: The polyimide blend membrane in the present invention was prepared by blending a first aromatic polyimide with high permeability and a second aromatic polyimide with high selectivity for gas separation. The polyimide blend membrane in the present invention showed improved permeability compared to membranes made from the second aromatic polyimide and improved selectivity compared to membranes made from the first aromatic polyimide.

There is no effluent burner or plasma source interfaced with the foreline between the first end and the scrubber. The flue (2) is further connected to an ozone generation apparatus (1). The ozone distributor (1) feeds ozone in the flue (2) and sends oxidized flue gas into the circulating fluidized bed reaction column (8), so that the SO2, high-valence NOx, and Hg2+ contained in the flue gas are removed through reactions with a Ca-based absorbent under the effect of atomized water in the reaction column (8).

The high pressure inlet line connects the pump outlet with the inlet for supplying the feed fluid at a high pressure. The concentrate line connects the concentrate outlet with the turbine inlet for supplying the concentrate fluid to the turbine portion.

Abstract: The polyimide blend membrane in the present invention was prepared by blending a first aromatic polyimide with high permeability and a second aromatic polyimide with high selectivity for gas separation. The polyimide blend membrane in the present invention showed improved permeability compared to membranes made from the second aromatic polyimide and improved selectivity compared to membranes made from the first aromatic polyimide.
