The bracket portion may further include a top side section that is disposed towards the top region of the firearm buffer tube implement, and an open ended bottom side section that extend the full length of the bracket portion along the bottom region of the firearm buffer tube implement. The open ended bottom side section provides passage for the item to be stored. The open ended bottom side section terminates at a pair of flanges. The storage compartment may include, without limitation, a container, holder, repository, receptacle, housing, case, vessel, canister, and cover.

Abstract: A quick attachment coupling system to attach tactical or tool accessories, providing the ability to interchange accessories on the fly, which can be modified to fit or be integrated to the magazine base of a pistol, the fore-end of a long gun, the exterior of wearable tactical gear, or any other supporting structure. The coupling system includes a dock. Each accessory tool is fitted with a tang which slides into a tang slot in the dock where it is automatically secured for use by a spring-loaded lock switch. A core plug in the tang slot holds the lock switch in an unlocked position when the accessory tool is uncoupled from the dock.

Abstract: A system includes a ballistic weapon having a barrel and a firing system having a controller. The controller is configured to receive a firing command and in response, when operating in a first mode of operation, to trigger repeated firing of the ballistic weapon such that the barrel of the ballistic weapon reseats in between consecutive firings of the ballistic weapon. The controller may also be configured to receive the firing command and in response, when operating in a second mode of operation, to trigger a single firing of the ballistic weapon. The controller may further be configured to receive the firing command and in response, when operating in a third mode of operation, to trigger repeated firing of the ballistic weapon such that the barrel of the ballistic weapon does not reseat in between consecutive firings of the ballistic weapon.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a laser guided and powered directed energy weapon that combines two different lasers to accurately and efficiently deliver a high energy electromagnetic pulse (EMP) to a target at long range. The method uses a high energy laser pulse with relatively long pulse duration focused in air to create a plasma ball which emits an intense EMP. Typically the long pulse duration of high energy lasers would severely limit focal accuracy and effective range because of air pressure variations and pollutants in the atmosphere. However the present invention uses a second ultrafast laser to create a long thin optical plasma filament between the variable location of the plasma ball and the target to act as a stable electrical connection or conducting wire. Consequently EMP can be efficiently channeled to the target via the optical filament, thereby dramatically increasing potential accuracy, range and energy delivery efficiency.

Abstract: Devices and methods for illuminating an arrow nock or bolt end are disclosed. A lighted nock has a nock body that includes an arrow attachment portion and a proximate end having a portion adapted to receive a bowstring in a drawn position. A light source assembly is at least partially disposed within the nock body. The light source assembly includes a slide switch operably connected to a light source and a power source. The light source is activated when the bowstring is released from the drawn position, thereby causing the slide switch to move away from the proximate end and close an electrical circuit formed by the light source and the power source.

Abstract: A projectile having a fin deployment system disposed about its circumference. The fins are initially contained by a fin cover that is removed by aerodynamic force. The fins are then rotated around a rotational axis parallel to and offset from the central axial axis of the projectile body by the centrifugal forces created by the rotation of the projectile as the projectile passes through a barrel of a gun system or tube launcher. The fin deployment system can also have locking systems that lock the fins in the deployed position and prevent the fins from rotating back into the retracted position after deployment.

The body has an intermediate cylindrical portion between the rear and forward ends, and the front end of the body defines a cavity. A resilient nose element is received in the cavity. The nose element may be an elastomer, and may be a cylindrical body. The cavity may be a cylindrical bore, and the nose element may be closely encompassed within the bore. The forward end of the nose element may be flat, and may be flush with the forward end of the body.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus for intercepting a moving target by a plurality of interceptors that individually have insufficient capability to achieve intercept. An electronic processor can receive information corresponding to a state of the moving target at a first time. The electronic processor can determine a plurality of hypotheses for the future maneuvers of the moving target. The hypotheses can be based in part on the state of the moving target at the first time and the location of any defended assets. The electronic processor can assign a respective target maneuver hypothesis or set of hypotheses to each of a plurality of interceptors. The electronic processor can assign firing times and/or initial guidance commands to each interceptor. The electronic processor can update the set of feasible hypotheses based on additional receipt of information on the motion of the target and communicate this information to interceptors in flight via a communication subsystem.
