  • Patent number: 9373213
Abstract: Disclosed in some examples are systems, methods, and machine readable mediums which allow for efficient and dynamic adaptation of one or more game objects based upon a proximity to another game object. In some examples, placement (or movement) of a game object may trigger a proximity check wherein the game map is checked to determine a set of game objects which are within a predefined proximity to the placed game object which may affect the behavior or appearance of the game object. The appropriate adaptations (if any) may be determined using a lookup table or other rule set where the inputs include the set of game objects and the locations of each of the game objects in the set relative to the placed object.

Abstract: A learning remote controller for learning functions received from a source controller. The learning remote controller includes a memory and a processor that executes a program stored in the memory. The program controls operations of the processor select and retrieve a device map corresponding to a source remote controller having functions that are to be learned by the learning remote controller, the device map establishing a correspondence between a key pressed on the source remote controller and a key on the learning remote controller to which a function received from the source remote controller is to be mapped. When a code corresponding to a function received from the source remote controller, corresponds to a first signal received from the source remote controller, the code is stored for comparison with subsequent codes received by the learning remote controller.

Abstract: A safety controller includes a first interrupt signal output unit outputting a first interrupt signal in a cycle synchronous with that of a first carrier signal defining a control cycle of a control target; a second interrupt signal output unit outputting a second interrupt signal in a cycle synchronous with that of a second carrier signal defining a control cycle of the control target, the first and second carrier signals having the same cycle and a predetermined phase difference; and a control unit executing tasks and controlling the control target by switching and scheduling time partitions according to outputs of the first and second interrupt signals from the first and second interrupt signal output units. The control unit stops controlling the control target upon detecting, as an abnormality related to the first and second interrupt signals, that the first and second interrupt signals are not output in a predetermined order.

  • Patent number: 9373254
Abstract: A system and a method are disclosed for compensating for discontinuous clock signals, default-high data buses, when generating and receiving an infrared signal on a mobile device with minimal hardware. The system can compensate for clock signals that are discontinuous using an effective bitrate in place of a nominal bitrate when processing signals. The effective bitrate can be determined by determining the length of a break in the clock signal that is discontinuous and adjusting the nominal bitrate based on the length and recurrence frequency of the break in the clock signal. Additionally, processed signals transferred on default-high data buses can be inverted to ensure the correct IR signal is output or received.

  • Patent number: 9373255
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for creating a current situation depiction, particularly a current city-center situation depiction, in which environment data and/or map data and/or position data describing a locally bounded situation are sent to a database by a multiplicity of vehicles using vehicle-to-X communication means. The environment data are captured by means of ambient sensors and/or vehicle sensors, the map data are read from a digital memory, and the position data are determined at least by means of a global satellite position system. The method is distinguished in that the environment data and/or the map data and/or the position data are continually merged with a situation depiction that is already present in the database to form a current situation depiction, and both the database and the situation depiction are fixed in location. The invention also relates to an appropriate system.
