Abstract: A workpiece clamping device for a machine tool is provided, which has a base, first and second clamping jaws between which a workpiece is clampable, a drive, and an actuating element which is displaceable relative to the base and which is coupled to the first clamping jaw. A movement of the actuating element is brought about by the drive and the actuating element brings about a displacement of the first clamping jaw. A transmitter is arranged on the actuating element and is displaceable together with the actuating element and is displaceable relative to the actuating element. A first stop and a spaced-apart second stop are provided, between which stops the transmitter is displaceable together with the actuating element. When the transmitter abuts against the first or second stop, the transmitter is displaceable relative to the actuating element. A sensor is provided for detecting one or more positions of the transmitter.

Abstract: A wire electrical discharge machining apparatus capable of improving the shape precision of a continuous corner part includes a corner speed coefficient calculation device calculating a machining speed ratio between a middle corner section and a straight part from a machining volume ratio between the straight part and the middle corner section in which machining volume becomes a constant value. A corner speed coefficient interpolation device interpolates a speed coefficient calculated by the corner speed coefficient calculation device in a pre-corner section and a post-corner section. A speed reference calculation device calculates a machining speed reference based on a representative speed and the corner speed coefficient, and a drive control device controls a drive device. A continuous corner detection device determines whether continuous corner sections overlap each other when the length of the straight part connecting two corner parts is shorter than the length of the pre-corner section.

Abstract: The present invention provides a nanoparticle manufacturing system differing from conventional nanoparticle fabricating equipment. In this nanoparticle manufacturing system, a laser beam emitted from a laser source is directly guided to the surface of a target disposed in an ablation chamber through a light guide tube, such that the laser beam is prevented from being influenced by reflection and/or refraction effects occurring from the cooling liquid filled in the ablation chamber. Moreover, in this nanoparticle manufacturing system, a light guidance-out end of the light guide tube is controlled to be apart from the target surface by a specific distance (<5 mm). Thus, the laser beam is able to effectively process the target to a plurality of nanoparticles by way of laser ablation, in spite of the laser beam provided by the laser source is a low-power laser beam (<30 mJ/pulse).

Abstract: The disclosure concerns a blasting method achieving antistatic effect and increasing processing amount. In the method, 0.06 cc/min to 150 cc/min, that is, a relatively small amount of liquid is introduced into the blast nozzle and atomized by causing it to strike with the compressed gas flowing through the blast nozzle or the compressed gas ejected from the blast nozzle, and the atomized liquid is ejected together with the compressed gas and the abrasive onto the workpiece. Since the relatively small amount of the atomized liquid is quickly evaporated into water vapor, humidity in a working space is increased, thereby generation of static electricity is prevented. A vaporization heat is absorbed during evaporation then the workpiece is cooled, accordingly, absorption of strike energy from the abrasive due to softening of the surface of the workpiece is prevented, as a result, the processing amount is improved.

Abstract: The invention relates to a mechanical device for manually clamping objects (10), which allows a user to clamp objects which, owing to their characteristics, uses or processes, would be dangerous to the users hand, as well as simply to clamp different objects. The device consists of five main parts: an upper jaw (15), a lower jaw (25), an upper handle (45), a lower handle (30), and a simple lever two-point shaft (65). In order to clamp an object with the device, the user inserts his/her thumb into the buttonhole for the thumb (35) in the lower handle (30) and the rest of the fingers into the upper handle (45) in the space between the handle (50) and the finger-adjustment rod assembly (60). By expanding the fingers of the hand the upper (15) and lower (25) jaws open and by contracting the fingers the jaws close. Objects are clamped in an extension of the forearm, on the side opposite the palm of the hand.

Abstract: A wrench adapted for use with bonnet nuts of shower valves. The present invention includes a substantially closed end wrench having a pair of disconnected distal ends separated by a gap. The distal ends each include a threaded aperture, each of which are aligned to allow a fastener to be inserted therethrough. As the fastener placed through the pair of complementary threaded apertures is tightened, it draws the distal ends together, thereby closing the head of the wrench. The present invention is used by placing the end of the wrench over the bonnet nut and then tightening the fastener in order to close the end of the wrench around the bonnet nut. The frictional engagement between the interior surface of the wrench end and the bonnet nut around which the closed end is tightened allows the user to apply torque to the wrench to tighten or loosen the bonnet nut.

The remote wrench can include a flexible plate within the tool housing or as part of the housing that is more flexible than the rigid housing in conventional remote wrenches that has been shown to limit efficiency. Additionally, a fixed support and a base can be provided that are collectively capable of being coupled to the remote wrench, preferably at the flexible plate, to increase efficiency. The remote wrench operation is therefore improved by reducing inefficiencies and providing a maximum torque output.
