Abstract: This invention relates to the proposal of component carrier (de)activation message that is allowing a activation or deactivation of one or more component carriers in the uplink or downlink. Furthermore, the invention relates to the use of the new component carrier (de)activation message in methods for (de)activation of downlink component carrier(s) configured for a mobile terminal, a base station and a mobile terminal. To enable efficient and robust (de)activation of component carriers, the invention proposes to use component carrier-specific or cell-RNTI(s) for the scrambling of the CRC of the component carrier (de)activation message, and to explicitly indicate the intended recipient of the component carrier (de)activation message in a corresponding field in the message. Furthermore, the invention further proposes different designs of the component carrier (de)activation message and further uses thereof, so as to trigger CQI reporting and/or SRS transmission by a mobile terminal.

Abstract: Systems and methods for flexible spectrum, or bandwidth, support in a cellular communications network are disclosed. In one embodiment, a base station for a cellular communications network is configured to transmit a non-standardized bandwidth carrier and information that identifies a standardized bandwidth and additional information that, together with the information that identifies the standardized bandwidth, defines a non-standardized bandwidth of the non-standardized bandwidth carrier. In one embodiment, the additional information defines a bandwidth adjustment for the standardized bandwidth that defines the non-standardized bandwidth. In one embodiment, the bandwidth adjustment is a symmetric bandwidth restriction. In another embodiment, the bandwidth adjustment is an asymmetric bandwidth restriction. In yet another embodiment, the bandwidth adjustment is a symmetric bandwidth expansion. In yet another embodiment, the bandwidth adjustment is an asymmetric bandwidth expansion.

Abstract: To determine the correct media stream to latch onto, the system and method uses a hashing algorithm to uniquely identify a legitimate media stream. A first invite message is received at a Session Border Controller (SBC) to establish a communication session. For example a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) INVITE is received. The first invite message comprises a first hash of a fingerprint. For example, the hash may be a hashed session key. A media message is received that contains the fingerprint to establish a media stream for the communication session. A second hash is created using the fingerprint in the media message. The first hash is compared to the second hash. In response to the first hash matching the second hash, a Network Address Translator (NAT) latches to an address and/or a port in the media message. Thus, the correct media stream is associated with the communication session.

Abstract: To allow good transmission and reception of a plurality of streams of data corresponding to respective ones of a plurality of data channels. A transmitting side transmits a plurality of streams of data corresponding to respective ones of a plurality of data channels, through a transmission path. At this time, the transmitting side inserts, into each of the plurality of streams of data, identification information for identifying the corresponding data channel. A receiving side determines to which of the data channels each of the plurality of streams of data corresponds, on the basis of the inserted identification information. Thereafter, on the basis of the determination result, the receiving side processes the plurality of streams of data.

Abstract: Some embodiments provide a method for channel estimation in a wireless device. According to the method, the wireless device obtains (1010) an indication that a set of antenna ports, or antenna port types, share at least one channel property. The wireless device then estimates (1020) one or more of the shared channel properties based at least on a first reference signal received from a first antenna port included in the set, or having a type corresponding to one of the types in the set. Furthermore, the wireless device performs (1030) channel estimation based on a second reference signal received from a second antenna port included in the set, or having a type corresponding to one of the types in the set, wherein the channel estimation is performed using at least the estimated channel properties.

Abstract: A method for sending and receiving a signal is disclosed, and a corresponding device and system. The method includes performing constellation mapping on a data stream to obtain a mapped signal, and performing pre-filtering on the mapped signal to convert the mapped signal into a narrowband signal filtered signal. The pre-filtering is finite impulse response filtering. A bandwidth of the narrowband signal filtered signal is less than bandwidth of the mapped signal, and the narrowband signal filtered signal is a baud rate signal. The method also includes performing waveform forming according to the narrowband signal filtered signal to obtain a shaped signal, and performing digital-to-analog conversion on the shaped signal to convert a shaped second signal into an analog signal, and sending the analog signal.

Abstract: In a detection circuit, inputs correspond to received indications of vector signaling code words received by a first integrated circuit from a second integrated circuit. With four inputs, the circuit compares a first pair to obtain a first difference result and compares a second pair, disjoint from the first pair, to obtain a second difference result. The first and second difference results are then summed to form an output function. A system might use a plurality of such detection circuits to arrive at an input word. The circuit can include amplification, equalization, and input selection with efficient code word detection. The vector signaling code can be a Hadamard matrix code encoding for three input bits. The circuit might also have frequency-dependent gain, a selection function that directs one of the summation function result or the first difference result to the output function, variable gain, and/or a slicer.

The factors can include the bandwidth of the signal that the digitized signal represents, the amount of bandwidth owned or used by the carrier, the full bandwidth of the designated RF band, the bandwidth of the serial link, the frame length of the serial link, the segmentation of the frames on the serial link, and the capability of the equipment at the receiving end of a serial link. The re-sampled signal can be transmitted to another unit that is remote to the unit transmitting the signal.
