Abstract: A gust lock lever system associated with an aircraft throttle quadrant allows flight crew to freely choose which engine to use for ground taxing operations. A stop member is connected to a crossbar of the gust lock lever system for moveable positioning into alignment with a respective one of the port and starboard engine throttle levers. The stop member causes the port and starboard throttle levers to thereby assume an asymmetrically differential side-by-side position relative to one another in response to advancement of the port and starboard throttle levers toward the crossbar when the crossbar is in an intermediate position thereof. The asymmetrically differential side-by-side position of the throttle levers therefore provide the flight crew with an unordinary tactile sensation in the event that the aircraft's engine throttles are attempted to be advanced to a take-off thrust condition with the gust lock lever system improperly deployed in the intermediate ground taxiing position.

Abstract: An apparatus for forming a seal (40-44) along an edge portion of a flexible package (10) that is made from a sheet of flexible material (137) includes an elongated film folding member (102) and at least one heating and/or sealing member (104), the at least one heating and/or sealing member (104) extending along a first heat/seal axis parallel to a lengthwise axis (108) of the film folding member (102). A first engagement end (112) of the film folding member is adapted to contact a portion of the sheet of flexible material (137) during a sealing process and the at least one heating and/or sealing member (104) is adapted to heat the portion of the sheet of flexible material (137) during the sealing process such that the contact between the first engagement end (112) and the portion of the sheet of flexible material creates the seal along the edge portion of the flexible package (10).

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention relate to an apparatus and method for high speed automated installation or attachment of preformed handles onto portable containers such as buckets, boxes, cartons, or pails that are moving on a conveyor system through the apparatus. A frame structure supports the apparatus. A container conveyor conveys the portable containers into and out of the apparatus. A handle sheet conveyor conveys sheets of preformed handles from storage containers into a handle magazine. Individual handles are detached from the preformed handle sheets, after which the handles are attached onto the portable containers at a high rate of speed. A slidable handle separation and insertion mechanism includes a main slide for preforming the handles prior to insertion onto the portable containers. In some embodiments the main slide is angled at approximately a 45 degree angle from the horizontal.

Abstract: Tamper resistant systems and devices and methods of forming the same are disclosed. A tamper resistant system includes a container having a container body defining a cavity having a threaded opening therein, a threaded closure removably covering the threaded opening, and a frangible component including a length of material having a first end and a second end. The first end is integrated with the container body such that the frangible component and the container body have a single piece construction and the frangible component extends from the container body. The second end is coupled to the threaded closure. Subsequent removal of the threaded closure from the container causes damage to at least one of the frangible component, the threaded closure, and the container body. The frangible component, the threaded closure, and the container body are at least partially constructed of an environmentally friendly material.

Abstract: A skid for moving and shipping goods in bulk includes top and bottom die-cut blanks of corrugated material that are each folded along score lines to produce two or more double-thickness ribs. Notches cut across the crest of the ribs in the top blank, and slots cut in the bottom blank on both sides of, and part way into the ribs enable the ribs of the top blank to be inserted through the slots in the bottom blank so the top and bottom blanks are brought together face-to-face producing a double thickness deck.
