Abstract: A server offloads one or more tasks to a first media gateway. The server receives, from the first media gateway that is receiving a video stream of a television channel, a first message that indicates that the first media gateway is eligible to process a request for media content of the television channel that otherwise would be processed by the server. The server receives, from a second media gateway, a request for media content of the television channel. The server transmits, to the second media gateway, a redirection response that instructs the second media gateway to request the media content from the first media gateway.

Abstract: Real time communication services are used to establish peer-to-peer connection (P2P) between computing devices to selectively share content, such as applications, data, and media. In accordance with the present disclosure, a “Source” and a “Target” are connected in a P2P session or a proxied connection, with each of the Source and Target having a browser that is aware of the other. The Source has a browser extension that allows access to local content, such as, applications, audio and video that are on the Source computing device. To share content, the Source may select a Share button to present a list of local content to share. The Source then makes a selection of the content, which in turn, makes the content available at a browser executing on a computing device(s) of other collaborators in a collaboration session.

Abstract: In storage networks (e.g., SAN and NAS), various reasons can arise for migrating an application layer communication session endpoint to a different host. To achieve scalability and robustness, the migration can be enacted externally and carried out at a middlebox at the transport layer. When a migration is triggered to migrate an application layer communication session endpoint from a host A to a host B, the middlebox coordinates network address translation with a transport protocol reset mechanism to switch the connection to host B and close the connection on host A with minimal disruption to the non-migrating application layer communication session endpoint using the connection. At the application layer, the non-migrating application layer communication session endpoint will initiate a new connection in response to detecting the reset, and retry any operation that was aborted as a result of the connection switch.

Abstract: Systems and methods for accurately and efficiently associating devices with a user profile and compiling use information from such devices are disclosed. Devices are associated with the same user profile based on identifying consistent proximity of the devices to one another, e.g., by identifying that the devices are frequently used in proximate locations during a time period or by identifying that the devices are paired with one another. Local devices, rather than a remote server, are used to more efficiently associate devices with the user profile and/or compile use information from such devices. Devices that are associated with the same user profile as a local collection device send use information to the local collection device. The information from all of the devices associated with the user profile is then shared locally with other devices associated with that user profile and sent to a remote collection server.

Abstract: Notifications are provided intelligently to reduce the number of messages displayed for a notification received by multiple applications. When an originating notification intended for a particular end user is received at a notification server, applications associated with that end user and registered for that type of notification are identified. The identified applications are grouped by device identifier. A subset of a single or a few target applications is selected for each group, while all other applications are considered as non-target applications. A notification for each target application is generated with a notification payload set to display a message, while a notification for each non-target application is generated with a notification payload set not to display a message. As such, when a user device receives multiple notifications for the same originating notification, the user device displays messages only for a single target application or a few target applications.

Abstract: A website is navigated automatically in a sequential manner, for example by performing a series of specific network requests in a specified order, without necessarily using a browser, and without necessarily rendering each web page in the sequence. Interactions with a website are automatically recorded, stored, and analyzed. Requests and responses can be associated with particular input/output operations. Based on the analysis, the system can determine what data is expected by web servers, so that it can effectively simulate browser operations in connection with those web servers, and extract useful information from the data received in response to those operations. Thus, data extraction and/or other operations can be performed more efficiently and more quickly, while reducing the computing resources needed.

Abstract: A system may include a processor and packet controller logic circuits implementing a distribution module, packet processing paths each including at least one configurable parsing engine and concatenating module pair, and an aggregation module. The distribution module can distribute an information unit between the plurality of packet processing paths. At least one of the packet processing paths can include multiple configurable parsing engine and concatenating module pairs coupled sequentially, and at least a portion of the information unit can be processed sequentially by the multiple configurable parsing engine and concatenating module pairs. The aggregation module can collect outputs from the packet processing paths.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a specialized integrated circuit for a Test and Training Enabling Architecture (TENA) gateway. The specialized integrated circuit comprises a packet parser, a TCP packet handler, generic TENA packet generator(s), and object model specific TENA packet generator(s). The packet parser parses an incoming MAC layer packet and conditionally provides a TCP packet to the TCP packet handier, depending on header(s) in the MAC layer packet. The TCP packet handler parses the TCP packet to reveal a TENA message, and determines whether the TENA message involves object model specific data and selectively provides the TENA message to the generic TENA packet generator(s) or to the object model specific TENA packet generator(s). The selection is based on the object model specific data determination. The selected TENA packet generator constructs an outgoing TENA message in response to the provided TENA message.
