  • Patent number: 9624712
Abstract: Disclosed is a system of interlocking door frame and wall panels for modular building units. Both the door frame panel and the wall panels are provided for easy installation into the skeletal frame of the modular building unit, and are provided with mating male and female connecting edges on opposite sides of each panel. This allows the door frame panel to mate with an adjacent wall panel in the same manner in which adjacent wall panels mate with one another, ensuring a clean, finished appearance for the connecting edges, a strong, reinforced frame having long durability, and a connection having the same physical, structural integrity as the connections between adjacent wall panel units. The door frame panel itself is particularly configured to receive a traditional, commercially available steel door frame and door assembly, but allows fitment of such commercially available steel door frame and door assembly without cutting a wall panel to receive that frame.

  • Patent number: 9624744
Abstract: A coiled spring is extended axially and its outside diameter is reduced for the run in position of a tool preferably a liner hanger. Upon release of the stored potential energy the diameter of the spring grows so that contact of the surrounding tubular is made by the spring to at least in part support one string to another. Alternatively, the rotational force from unwinding the spring can drive a slip or other support member radially outwardly into contact with the surrounding tubular and if desired lock the gripping position between the tubulars. Unexpended potential energy of the unwinding spring can also be a residual force to hold the expanded spring to the surrounding tubular. The axial shrinkage of the coiled spring can also be deployed in actuation of the slip in conjunction with rotational movement to advance the slip radially for a grip of the surrounding tubular.

  • Patent number: 9624745
Abstract: There is provided a downhole umbilical release assembly comprising a guillotine arrangement provided by a guillotine alignment sub (12) and a guillotine mandrel (16). The guillotine alignment sub has a first edge (27) over which an umbilical is positioned in a wellbore string. The guillotine mandrel is positioned radially outwardly of the guillotine alignment sub and is arranged to move longitudinally with respect thereto. The guillotine mandrel has a second edge (29) that is arranged to pass over the first edge (27) of the guillotine alignment sub during longitudinal movement of the guillotine mandrel relative to the guillotine alignment sub. This severs an umbilical positioned between the two edges (27,29).

Abstract: A tubing hanger assembly includes a tubular outer tubing hanger member adapted to land in a bore of a wellhead. A tubular inner tubing hanger member is adapted to be secured to a string of production tubing and has an engaged position in a bore of the outer tubing hanger member. A retaining mechanism selectively allows the inner tubing hanger member to be lowered relative to the outer tubing hanger member, then selectively allowing the inner tubing hanger member to be returned back to the engaged position, to create tension in the string of production tubing. The retaining mechanism operates in response to rotational movement of the inner tubing hanger member while the outer tubing hanger member remains stationary with the wellhead.

  • Patent number: 9624750
Abstract: A bridge plug arrangement includes a plug having an upper end and a bottom end. The bridge plug arrangement also optionally includes a cylindrical seat. The bridge plug arrangement further includes a tubular member. The tubular member may be part of a casing string. The tubular member is configured to receive the plug and, when used, the seat. The plug and/or the seat may be fabricated from a frangible material. Also disclosed is a method for diverting fluids in a wellbore using the bridge plug arrangement. The method may include landing the plug onto the seat within the wellbore below a subsurface zone of interest. Treatment fluids are then injected into the wellbore, where they are diverted through perforations and into a formation. The plug and/or seat is then optionally broken into a plurality of pieces through use of a downward mechanical force.

  • Patent number: 9624751
Abstract: A disintegrating plug uses a setting tool to push a swage into the plug body that has external ribs that contact the wall of the surrounding tubular. The ribs retain the body to the surrounding tubular wall with frictional contact. Some leakage may ensue but in fracturing some leakage does not matter if enough volume under the right pressure reaches the formation. The sheared member during the setting comes out with the mandrel that is part of the setting tool. In an alternative embodiment one or more o-rings are used to seal while anchoring is assisted by the hardened insert(s) that can be snap fitted in using rib flexing or that can be a c-ring that is expanded and snapped in. The o-ring(s) are axially spaced from the insert(s).

Abstract: A wireline retrievable injection valve for an oil or gas well has an internal valve that is initially moved to open a flapper safety valve and also opens to allow fluid flow through the valve. • Patent number: 9624756
Abstract: A sliding sleeve opens with a deployed ball. The sleeve has a seat disposed in the housing, and the seat has segments biased outward from one another with a C-ring or other biasing element. Initially, the seat has an expanded state in the sliding sleeve so that the seats segments expand outward against the housing's bore. When an appropriately sized ball is deployed downhole, the ball engages the expanded seat. Fluid pressure applied against the seated ball moves the seat into the inner sleeve's bore. As this occurs, the seat contracts, which increases the engagement area of the seat with the ball. Eventually, the seat reaches the shoulder in the inner sleeve so that pressure applied against the seated ball now moves the inner sleeve in the housing to open the sliding sleeve's flow port.
