Abstract: The present disclosure includes gateways and methods for node selection of virtual network nodes in virtual evolved packet core networks. The methods include receiving, at a gateway from an evolved Node B (eNodeB), an attach request for a user equipment (UE), and determining a network selection hint corresponding to the received attach request, where the network selection hint is used for determining a virtual network node for selection in a mobile cloud network. The methods further include determining a domain name for establishing a network connection based at least in part on the network selection hint, where the selected domain name is associated with a virtual network node in the mobile cloud network. The methods also include selecting a virtual network node associated with the determined domain name, and establishing a network session to the selected virtual network node.

Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein include combining power from isolated power paths for powering remote units in distributed antenna systems (DASs). In one example, a remote unit(s) is configured to include multiple input power ports for receiving power from multiple power paths. The received power from each input power port is combined to provide a combined output power for powering the remote unit. Thus, a remote unit can be powered by the combined output power. To avoid differences in received power on the multiple input power ports causing a power supply to supply higher power than designed or regulated, the input power ports in the remote unit are electrically isolated from each other. Further, the received power on the multiple power inputs ports can be controlled to be proportionally provided to the combined output power according to the maximum power supplying capabilities of the respective power supplies.

Abstract: A regenerative selective logarithmic detector amplifier (LDA) can have integrated FM demodulation capabilities. It can receive a wired or wireless FM modulated signal and amplify or demodulate it with high sensitivity, high skirt ratio and minimized noise when compared to the prior art. When used in conjunction with other circuits such as a PLL or mixer, it can improve interference rejection and frequency selectivity and be locked on a precise channel in frequency and phase. The LDA produces intermittent oscillations that are self-quenched when reaching a given threshold. It also embeds the circuitry to perform direct FM discrimination. FM demodulation process is completed by a simple analog or digital frequency to voltage converter. This plus the fact that the instantaneous regeneration gain is low-medium permit to detect signals of small amplitudes buried in the noise.

Abstract: A novel and efficient multi-carrier operation mechanism is proposed to maintain the capacity and reliability for NB-IOT systems. First, the functional separation on anchor NB-IOT carrier and data NB-IOT carriers is defined. Transportation of system broadcast information, including synchronization signal (NB-PSS/NB-SSS) and NB-MIB (NB-PBCH) and paging are on anchor carrier, RACH procedure and Data transmission and reception are on data carrier. Second, UE switching between anchor and data carriers. UE on anchor carrier switches to data carrier via paging, RRC signaling or cross-carrier scheduling. On the other hand, UE on data carrier switches back to anchor carrier after transmission or reception complete (right-after or after time-out).

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for channel switching in a mesh network is described. In one embodiment, a beacon is sent. The beacon includes a channel change request in both proprietary and standard formats. The channel change request includes an instruction to change to a particular channel and a timing synchronization function identifying when the change to the particular channel should occur. The timing synchronization function is used to determine that the time has arrived to change to the particular channel. The particular channel is changed to synchronously with all other access points in a mesh network.

Abstract: A terminal communicating with a base station by using FDD cells and TDD cells includes a reception unit that performs reception over a PDCCH transmitted using a DCI format. In a case where a primary cell is configured as the TDD cell for the terminal, DAI indicating the accumulated number of PDCCHs or EPDCCHs indicating releasing of downlink semi-persistent scheduling or transmission of a PDSCH in subframes until a current subframe of prescribed subframes is received while being included in the DCI format. A transmit power of a PUCCH transmitted while including HARQ-ACK corresponding to the PDCCH or the EPDCCH indicating the releasing of the downlink semi-persistent scheduling or the transmission of the PDSCH is determined based on a value of the DAI.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a method and apparatus for triggering aperiodic feedback in coordinated multipoint transmission. The method includes: transmitting, by an eNB to UE, dynamic control information (DCI) and preconfigured feedback sets corresponding to the DCI, so that the UE aperiodically feeds back corresponding channel state information (CSI) according to the DCI and the feedback sets corresponding to the DCI; wherein the preconfigured feedback sets corresponding to the DCI are classified according to a triggered transmitting point or a CSI-RS of non-zero power, or are classified according to configured CSI, or are classified according to an interference type. With the method and apparatus of the embodiments of the present invention, a relatively good tradeoff between flexibility of aperiodic CSI feedback and signaling load in a CoMP transmission process or a joint transmission process of CoMP and CA may be achieved.

Abstract: A method for receiving an Enhanced Physical Downlink Control Channel (EPDCCH) from a base station by a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system. The UE receives a first EPDCCH for a first carrier by monitoring first EPDCCH candidates for the first carrier in a specific physical resource block (PRB) pair set. The UE receives a second EPDCCH for a second carrier by monitoring second EPDCCH candidates for the second carrier in the specific PRB pair set. A position of the second EPDCCH candidates is determined by applying an offset value for the second EPDCCH candidates into a position of the first EPDCCH candidate. The offset value for the second EPDCCH candidates is determined based on a carrier indicator field of the second carrier.
