Abstract: A method implemented in a communication device for controlling inter-link interference due to transmissions from the communication device on a radio link to which different types of resources are allocated. The method comprises separately limiting transmission powers on the different types of resources by operating separate interference control instances. At least two of the separate interference control instances are based on the same group of schemes but adopt different scheme-related control parameters for at least one of the schemes or are based on different groups of schemes. The method further comprises performing transmissions on the different types of resources according to the separately limited transmission powers. Also provided is a communication device for controlling inter-link interference.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides various aspects related to techniques for generating trigger frames, at an AP, that reduce the overhead associated with triggering an uplink transmission from the STA. In some examples, the STA may also calculate its transmit power by decoding a spatial reuse subfield of the trigger frame from the AP and identifying downlink pathloss measurements of the trigger frame. Accordingly, the STA may identify acceptable interference level of the AP and calculate a transmit power in order to minimize interference at the AP. In some aspects, the STA may transmit its uplink packets to a different AP on one or more punctured channels at the calculated transmit power of the STA.

Abstract: A system and method determines a geographic position of a mobile device in communication with an IP-based wireless telecommunications network. A wireless connection between the mobile device and the IP-based wireless telecommunications network is established when the mobile device registers with a network controller (NC) through an access point (AP). When a geographical position is needed for the mobile device (e.g., a 911 call), messages are exchanged between the NC and the SMLC where the SMLC retrieves information from a database that is used to identify the geographic position of the mobile device. The database can store a variety of information related to mobile devices such as: last known position, IP address, MAC address, device or subscriber identifier, last CGI, etc. The geographical position is communicated back to the NC, which can then forward the position information to a switch for processing such as for 911 calls.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides various aspects related to techniques for generating trigger frames, at an access point (AP), that reduce the overhead associated with triggering an uplink transmission from the wireless station (STA). Features of the present disclosure achieve this by, for example, utilizing a single per-user information field of the trigger to signal a plurality of random access resource units that may be allocated to the one or more STAs in the network. Such a technique is an improvement over the conventional system that require each random access resource unit to be signaled separately in a separate per-user information field (thus increasing the overhead). Additionally, aspects of the present disclosure allow the AP to effectively signal to the STA whether the one or more resources allocated to the at least one STA are a single user resource unit allocation or a multi-user resource unit allocation.

Abstract: A resource allocation method to resolve a problem that a transport block of a typical enhanced voice service (EVS) scenario in an air interface is much smaller than a transport block of a conventional adaptive multi rate (AMR), and use of a resource allocation method in the existing long term evolution (LTE) causes a waste of user spectrum resources such that spectrum utilization in an EVS scenario can be improved. The method includes determining resource allocation information and resource allocation block indication information, where the resource allocation information includes information indicating at least one fractional resource block (FRB) allocated to user equipment, and the resource allocation block indication information indicates that a resource allocation block is the FRB, where a resource occupied by the FRB is less than one RB, and notifying the user equipment of the resource allocation information and the resource allocation block indication information.

Abstract: Systems and methods configured to form and manage different types of beams toward target ground terminals to “optimally” communicate with the terminals. In one set of embodiments, the UAV generates a set of beams to cover cells on the ground, the beams are divided into groups, and the UAV communications system deterministically and sequentially turns a subset of the beams on/off to reduce cross-beam interference and increase system throughput. In another embodiment, in order to increase throughput, the UAV communications system determines the highest data rate on the downlink and uplink that are decodable at the receiver given the received signal to interference plus noise ratio (SINR) while maintaining a low packet error rate. Systems and methods are described to determine the UAV antenna pattern toward different terminals needed for SINR calculation and data rate determination.

Abstract: This disclosure describes methods, apparatus, and systems related to network allocation vectors. A device is disclosed that may determine a first length of time corresponding to a first spatial reuse transmit opportunity (SR-TxOP) time period. The device may determine a second length of time corresponding to a transmit opportunity (TxOP) time period that starts when a request to send (RTS) frame is transmitted and ends after the first length of time ends. The device may cause to transmit the RTS frame, over the channel, to a first device. The device may determine that a clear to send (CTS) frame is received from the first device, the CTS frame comprising a first duration field equal to having a third length of time corresponding to a second transmission opportunity (SR-TxOP). The device may determine that the third length of time corresponds to a length of time between when the CTS frame was transmitted and when the first length of time ends.
