Abstract: A compression garment that is provided that is configured to cover a lower body portion of a form fitting garment, wherein the compression garment is particularly suited for covering the lower body portion of a swimsuit. The compression garment includes an elongated band formed into a loop that is configured to encircle the lower abdominal region of a wearer. The elongated band is composed of a compression material that applies an inward force on the wearer's lower abdominal region so as to restrain the wearer's body, providing a slimming effect. A non-compressive layer is circumferentially attached to the elongated band, wherein the non-compressive layer extends downwardly and below the lower end of the elongated band. The non-compressive layer includes a non-compression material and serves to provide additional coverage of the wearer's body when the compression garment is worn.

Abstract: A backless support bra for supporting a wearer's breasts utilizing cups and various straps particularly configured to provide an unobstructed view of the wearer's back, thus enabling the wearer to wear backless type garments over the inventive backless support bra. Some of the described versions of the backless support bra further support the wearer's breasts in a manner that provides an unobstructed view of the wearer's center chest area, thus enabling the wearer the wear a garment that has a low cut or plunging neckline.

Abstract: Conductive thread stitched stretch sensors are described. The conductive thread stitched stretch sensors include a textile configured to stretch in at least one dimension and a conductive thread having a resistance between a first point and a second point stitched to the textile in a stitch geometry, the stitch geometry configured to stretch the conductive thread as the textile is stretched in the at least one dimension such that the resistance of the conductive thread increases between the first point and the second point due to elongation of the conductive thread as the textile is stretched. Also described are garments including conductive thread stitched stretch sensors and methods for making such sensors.

Abstract: Wearables are provided that prevent—or at least greatly reduce the risk of—mosquito bites by having repellent within the mesh tightly bonded into the actual fibers of the fabric, thereby providing built-in protection from mosquitoes, ticks and other potentially dangerous biting insects. These wearables may be both practical and fashion-forward in design so that humans will be less likely to object to wearing them. Wearables may include track suits, jackets and wraps; however, wearables may take different forms, including but not limited to, pant coverings, wrist bands, hats, scarves, and patches. These wearables may be worn when participating in various outdoor activities, including, but not limited to, playing, bike riding, and camping. These wearables also may be breathable and easy to put on and take off, as well as appealing in appearance.

Abstract: A device protects the plantar padding of a foot, wherein: a cushion including a viscoelastic material, configured to be held against the skin of the plantar region, and covering all of the metatarsal heads and the metatarsophalangeal joints of the foot, and an elastic band attached to the cushion along two opposing transverse edges, and by a tab configured to pass between the big toe and the adjacent toe of the foot, the band having a width configured to entirely cover side bulges formed by the metatarsophalangeal joints of the small and big toes, wherein a portion of the band configured for contacting the top of the foot includes tacky elements on both sides thereof, thereby preventing the protective device from sliding on the skin when it is placed on the foot and inside a sock surrounding the foot.

Abstract: A flat-fold respirator is made from a stiff filtration panel joined to the remainder of the respirator through at least one line of demarcation. The panel contains a porous monocomponent monolayer nonwoven web that contains charged intermingled continuous monocomponent polymeric fibers of the same polymeric composition and that has sufficient basis weight or inter-fiber bonding so that the web exhibits a Gurley Stiffness greater than 200 mg and the respirator exhibits less than 20 mm H2O pressure drop. The respirator may be formed without requiring additional stiffening layers, bicomponent fibers, or other reinforcement and can be flat-folded for storage. Scrap from the manufacturing process may be recycled to make additional stiff filtration panel web.

The hand includes a plurality of openings or slots into which the fingers and thumb can be selectively inserted for retention, and thereby configure the hand in multiple gestures. The base of the hand includes a slot or pocket into which a user can insert his/her hand so as to wear the foam hand over their own hand.

Abstract: My invention adds a seal to the outside of the wrist area of disposable (plastic, latex, or rubber) gloves. This added feature provides the user with the option to seal and contain unwanted material once the glove is removed from the hand, reducing the possibility of cross contamination and skin exposure while also minimizing odor.

Abstract: This disclosure describes a gripping aid to improve the hand-to-handle interface. The gripping aid increases the grip span of a user by bridging the anatomical gaps in the user's finger and thumb. The gripping aid provide a structure along the thumb web to oppose the gripping force of the fingers/thumb to increase grip strength. In some implementations, the gripping aid may be composed of a crush resistant and further include a fulcrum point to add instability to increase the speed and/or torque of each swing of a handle. In some implementations, the gripping aid may also provide a reduction in vibrations and superficial hand traumas normally caused when the handle strikes an object.

Abstract: The apparel is constructed from various combinations of layers of materials with moisture transfer properties. A first liner of moisture transfer fabrics abuts a second layer of structural material such as open-cell foam. The second layer can abut a breathable membrane and/or an insulating material. Finally, carefully selected outer fabric completes the combination to provide apparel with improved performance characteristics. The outer fabrics are treated in various ways to enhance performance.

Abstract: A system for maintaining eyelash extensions includes a plurality of components for use throughout the life of a set of eyelash extensions. These components may include a sealer formulated for use just after the extensions have been applied, a sealer and thickener formulated for use after eyelash extensions have started to fall out and a thickener formulated for use after the eyelash extensions have thinned considerably (i.e., few are remaining) and until the individual can have her eyelash extensions filled or replaced. Components of the system that are formulated for initial use and through the middle of the lifetime of the eyelash extensions (e.g., the sealer and the sealer/thickener) may be formulated to nourish the eyelashes and to seal each extension and the natural eyelash to which each extension is adhered.

The sheet has several pre-made lines in the sheet forming in whole or in part the headgear removable from the sheet, and wherein the sheet of thin flexible material has several pre-made fold lines in the sheet, said fold lines oriented to form said sheet into a container to hold other articles.

Abstract: A helmet with a sports camera comprises a body and a picture recording module which is detachably mounted on the body. The picture recording module includes an outer shell and a camera disposed in the outer shell. The camera is electrically connected to a control system; the control system is connected to a power module; the control system is further electrically connected to an LED indicator and an operating button; in use, through controlling the operating button, a user can take photos or record a video. Advantages of the helmet with a sports camera are summarized as follows. 1. The helmet and the camera are integrated, which facilitates the photographing of sceneries. 2. LED indicators and operation buttons on the helmet can control the start-up, shooting, or recording of the camera, and the micoUSB data interface can be used for charging, data copying, or connected to a PC camera. 3.

The helmet can include inner and outer rigid layers, or shells, and which are spatially supported by a plurality of force attenuating components.

Abstract: Systems and methods for automatically producing a cord structure are provided herein. In one embodiment, a method comprises automatically forming, with at least one robotic arm, a first plurality of loops in a first plane, and automatically forming, with the at least one robotic arm, a second plurality of loops in a second plane orthogonal to the first plane, the second plurality of loops slippably engaged with the first plurality of loops. In this way, cord structures may be quickly constructed, thereby reducing labor input and expense.

In the implementation of the snap fastener of the present invention, the face fastener (1) can be separated into the face shell (11) and the locating pin (12), and the locating pin (12) is manufactured into a standard part for batch production and storage, thereby adapting face shells (11) with continuously updated designs, shortening delivery time, and reducing costs.

A slidable member is disposed on the cord and is slidable relative to the cord. The slidable member includes a first aperture that receives a first region of the cord, and a second aperture that receives a second region of the cord such that the cord defines a closed loop. The slidable member and the protrusions are flexible relative to one another in order to enable the slidable member to slide over the protrusions while sliding relative to the cord, which adjusts a size of the closed loop about a top portion of a zipper slider. Abstract: A convertible strap handbag and a method of converting the strap to multiple configurations is described. The handbag comprises a single continuous convertible strap, and wing-shaped left and right panels to allow carrying of large items but sleek enough to use as a purse. A plurality of rings are attached to the back panel to allow the user to convert the strap from a backpack configuration to an over the shoulder configuration without removing or disconnecting the strap. The handle attached to the back panel allows the user to carry the handbag in one's hand or worn in the crook of the elbow. A method of converting the strap from a backpack configuration to an over the shoulder configuration is provided comprising holding the strap at a center section and releasing the handbag to extend a length of the strap for an over a shoulder or a cross-body carrying setting.
