The left and right sides of the polymeric strip are attached to the smooth sidewalls of the trashcan by double-sided pressure sensitive adhesive tape, leaving a gap or air entry/exit between the top and bottom of the polymeric strip and the top and bottom surface of the trashcan, respectively. During trashcan liner placement, air pockets are smoothed out.

Abstract: A hydraulic compactor configured to be fastened to the cover structure of an underground collection container, for compacting waste materials. The hydraulic compactor includes a filling opening equipped with a hatch, via which the waste material may be entered into a compressing space inside the compactor, a press member being provided above the compressing space and being movable in the vertical direction inside the compactor. The press member presses the waste material fed into the compressing space against the bottom plate of the compactor. The bottom plate of the compactor is a hydraulic bottom plate opening in the horizontal direction, via which the waste material compressed in the compressing space is dropped into the underground collection container. The present disclosure also relates to an underground collection container comprising a compactor.

The handle includes a base plate and a gripping portion connected by one or more sidewalls. The back side of said base plate contains a projection to allow the handle to mate with the body of the receptacle. The projection includes two regions offset from each other so that, when the body of the receptacle is formed by blow molding, the body can fill around the projection, thereby securely attaching the two. The handle can further include a cinch so that if a liner is used within the body of the receptacle, there is a place to tie it off on the handle. Multiple handles can be mated to a single receptacle body.

Abstract: A device for rotating a cover of a trash can opens the cover so that a predetermined space is exposed, or closes the cover onto the frame so that the predetermined space is disconnected with the outside. The device includes an external force applying part rotated by first external force based on a fixed rotating shaft; and a mediating part which mediates the external force, interconnected to a rotation of the external force applying part by the external force to make the cover open. The cover closes by weight of the cover when the external force is released, in which when the standing of the cover is limited by second external force, the mediating part is transformed by the rotation of the external force applying part by the external force and prevents the external force from being transmitted to the cover.
