Abstract: A system, method, and computer program product for managing a physical inventory. Image data from a number of cameras is processed to recognize inventory items from identifying indicia and determine their respective locations to build a three-dimensional model of the inventory item distribution. Comparison with a database model of the inventory item distribution may indicate discrepancies, such as misplaced items. A picking agent may be dispatched to pick a target item by following a particular path, which may be designated in an overlay on a portable heads-up display. The picking agent may also perform a corrective inventory management action on a non-target item while picking the target item. The corrective inventory management action may include repositioning an item, reorienting the item for better visibility of its identifying indicia, replacing the item's identifying indicia, determining if the item is of expected weight, and gathering new image data.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention relate to a system, computer program product, and method for generating a recommendation for using a payment instrument or combination of payment instruments to tender payment. Payment instrument data is stored in a database. Upon receiving a request for a payment recommendation, payment instrument data is retrieved from the database and a payment instrument score is assessed across two or more payment instruments. The assessment comprises the application of a function to a payment instrument, the function taking into account payment instrument variables, category, and location. A recommendation of an apportionment of the payment is generated, including an allocation of an associated cost and the recommended payment is transmitted to a network server.

Abstract: Techniques are disclosed relating to authentication for user transactions. In some embodiments, a first device of the user provides an option for the user to transfer payment and device signature information to a second device of the user. The second device, in some embodiments, then uses the payment information for payment transactions (which may avoid manual input of payment information). The second device, in some embodiments, transmits the device signature information for the first device to an authentication system. The authentication system, in some embodiments, authenticates the second device based on a match for the signature information for the first device.

Abstract: The present invention is an apparatus for the money transactions required in the selling of merchandise or media content on the Internet and uses at least one in-person contact with the buyer. A predefined transaction originating at a real place of business authorizes access to web content or merchandise from a place off the web. Purchasers (end-users) must physically go to a retail location to choose the Internet media or merchandise shopping cart they wish to acquire where age can be verified if necessary and payment can be made with or without a credit card. Content security using a non-audible or invisible code signal sequence(s) can provide traceability as well as absolute anonymity for the purchaser. This apparatus can be used to conduct transactions off the web so that business can be done on the web.

The processor of the mobile payment device can obtain digital wallet information associated with the user of the mobile payment device. The processor can generate a plurality of pulses from the digital wallet information. The plurality of pulses can encode payment card information expected by the merchant terminal for the point of sale transaction. The processor can instruct a haptic actuator of the mobile payment device to generate a plurality of tactile pulses such that each tactile pulse of the plurality of tactile pulses corresponds to a pulse of the plurality of pulses.

Abstract: Optimizations are provided for completing a transaction event using authentication information. In particular, a presence of a transaction processing device is initially detected. Then, transaction information is received from the transaction processing device. The transaction information corresponds to a current transaction event. After receiving the information, a communication link is established with an on-body device. This device includes authentication information that is necessary to complete the current transaction event. The authentication information is then received from the on-body device. This information has a time-limited use availability. Finally, the received authentication information is used to complete the current transaction event.
