  • Patent number: 9937723
Abstract: A printhead assembly for an inkjet printer has a ink filter tower portion that contains filtered ink and includes multiple, substantially parallel extending elements. Settling of ink in an ink filter tower could clog the printhead nozzles and lessen the print quality. Therefore, in order to prevent the settling of the ink in the ink filter tower of the present design, a free-floating weighted slider is installed within the ink filter tower. The weighted slider has a top bridging member and downward-pointing shafts that are movable within trenches formed between the extending elements. During a reciprocating motion of the printhead assembly, the slider moves in a direction opposite to the direction of the printhead assembly and thereby agitates the ink within the tower. In addition to sliding from side to side of the printhead assembly, the slider may also be designed to pivot about an upper axis as it moves to further agitate the ink.

Abstract: Inkjet printer for the labeling of goods having a print head having a cylindrically shaped housing. A latching lug, and a circumferentially extending groove are formed on the housing in a rear region thereof, in the vicinity of a rear face of the housing. Further, it has an annular collar having an inner wall adapted to the housing. On the one hand, the housing is capable of being fixed and, on the other hand, it is rotatable and axially movable, relative to the annular collar. The annular collar has a bore hole axially aligned with the groove, and a fixing projection located in the bore hole. Further, it has several latching recesses for the latching lug. When the latching lug is positioned in one of the latching recesses, the bore hole is located radially above the groove.

Abstract: An inkjet printer includes a conveyer, a plurality of inkjet heads, a head cooler configured to generate cooling air and cool the plurality of inkjet heads by the generated cooling air, and a controller. The controller is configured to drive the plurality of inkjet heads to perform non-ejection drive on at least one of lines which involve no ink ejection, the non-ejection drive being driving of the plurality of inkjet heads to such a degree as to eject no ink. The controller is configured to determine a non-ejection drive ratio for each of the plurality of inkjet heads in accordance with a position of each of the plurality of inkjet heads, the non-ejection drive ratio being a ratio of lines on which the controller performs the non-ejection drive to the lines which involve no ink ejection.

Abstract: An inkjet recording apparatus includes an ink tank forming an ink chamber and including an injection inlet, a cover, a cover sensor, a recording head, a monitor, and a controller. The cover is movable between a covering position and an exposing position. The cover sensor is positioned to output a signal depending on the position of the cover. The controller controls operation of the recording head, the monitor. The controller receives either a first positional signal or a second positional signal of the cover sensor, and based on receipt of the first positional signal after receipt of the second positional signal from the cover sensor, performs a decision process deciding whether an operation regarding ink injection into the ink chamber is completed.

Abstract: A method and system for performing color print quality monitoring for a color printing process, the method includes determining a calibration distance (ZCAL) between a Spectrophotometer (140) and an associated calibration patch (310) that provides a maximum luminescence value (LMAX) detected by the Spectrophotometer. The Spectrophotometer (140) is calibrated at the calibration distance by taking a color reading. A first color patch distance (Z1) between the Spectrophotometer and a color calibration patch (320) printed on a sheet (155) is determined from a first maximum color patch luminescence value (L1). A first color reading of the color calibration patch is taken and a second color patch distance (Z2) between the Spectrophotometer and a different area of the color calibration patch (320) is determined to provide a second maximum color patch luminescence value (L2).

The method features obtaining an angle grinder having a circular grinding disc located thereon. The method features embedding a first series of arc-shaped striations sequentially located one above another along a first striation axis on each metallic blank via operation of the angle grinder. The method features embedding subsequent series' of arc-shaped striations sequentially located one above another along subsequent striation axes on each metallic blank via operation of the angle grinder. This step is repeated until the desired shimmering light-reflective pattern resembling a three-dimensional wave on a two-dimensional metallic surface is achieved. Abstract: Improvements in a caster wheel tilt bar is disclosed. The caster wheel tilt bar is installable and removeable on a caster and is secured over one side of the caster frame and utilizes the tapered portion of the wheel frame. When the cart frame is rotated the tilt bar comes in contact with the ground. Further rotation lifts the wheel above the ground. The tilt bar can be configured in an arc or can be configured with defined angular steps. The angular steps are generally calculated to create a balance point where the cart can hold with limited rocking. The caster wheel tilt bar can also be painted or powder coated to match the color of the pre-existing caster wheel. Because the rod and shoe can be different components, the shoe or rod can be adjusted to accommodate different casters and/or wheel diameters.
