Abstract: Furniture, such as bookcases and dressers, are child-proofed against tipping forward by being mounted to a wall by a combination of a rail attached to the furniture, the rail having an angled undercut, and a cleat. The rail and cleat have corresponding angled cuts so that, when the furniture is properly installed, the rail rests on the cleat and the furniture is prevented from tipping or falling forward. The cleat should be attached to a structural member, such as a stud behind drywall. An additional safety device for furniture having drawers is a retainer that, in an engaged position, holds existing drawers in place, and prevents the full insertion of drawers, unless the furniture is installed on a firmly attached cleat. The cleat disengages the retainer during proper installation of the furniture on the cleat, whereby drawers can be fully inserted and removed as desired by the user.

Abstract: A snap-in mounting bracket with a generally “U” shaped cross-section. A set of mounting holes are spaced along the web of the bracket and correspond to existing holes in prefabricated cabinets or closets over a range of industry standard sizes. A guide flange extends from the web proximate the middle of a first edge. End flanges curve around the ends of the first edge. A pair of spring flanges extend from the web on a second edge opposite the middle guide flange. A universal slide assembly is removably secured to the mounting bracket between the flanges. The end flanges and the spring tension of the spring flanges hold the slide assembly in place. Different closet organizer components such as tie racks, pant racks, and belt racks can be affixed to the slide assembly for slidable deployment along the vertical partition out of the closet.

The foot is selectively mounted on the mounting platform, such that the foot is configured to contact the support surface when the modular furniture assembly is in an upright configuration. The mounting platform connects the base and transverse member frame assemblies together and also acts as a platform for receiving a variety of different types of feet.

Abstract: A folding collapsible chair includes a seat ring and folding legs with a back rest fabric installed over the seat ring. The seat ring has four positioning pieces that have downward facing sheath tubes; each sheath tube has a locking structure. The folding legs include four support rods and two horizontal bars. The four support rods correspond with the four positioning pieces. Two diagonal support rods form a unit, fixed together with a horizontal bar to form one body. Two of the aforementioned units, each of which incorporates two support rods with a horizontal bar, are cross-hinged together so that they can pull together when folded up for storage with the seat ring. The aforementioned seat ring is linked together into a locking structure with the top ends of the four support rods by means of the positioning pieces' sheath tubes.

In a biasing unit of the adjusting mechanism, a spring segment is disposed between a head end and a follower end to bias the follower end to the remote position. The follower end is angularly movable on a cam surface between distal and proximate positions. In response to movement of a backrest of the chair from a normal position to an inclined position to permit the follower end to be forced by the cam surface to move from the remote position to a close position, two different restoring forces can be set by adjusting the follower end between the distal and proximate positions.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a special effect chair, and the special effect chair includes a chair; a heating element installed inside the chair; a wind blowing unit for circulating air heated by the heating element; and a discharge unit for discharging the air circulated by the wind blowing unit to the outside of the chair, and the discharge unit is positioned on the front side of the chair. Accordingly, according to the present invention, power consumption can be reduced as much as one twentieth compared with a conventional technique by reducing the distance of injecting hot air and adding a heat storage function.

A leg support is pivotally attached to a cross bar, and a slotted bracket is attached to another cross bar. A bolt with a conical washer is attached to a first end of a diagonal strut, and the second end is pivotally attached to the leg support. The diagonal strut is attached to the slotted bracket by inserting the bolt into a rounded slot and by pressing the conical washer down into a round opening of the rounded slot using a wing nut. The round opening is disposed at the end of a channel whose width is slightly larger than the diameter of the bolt. The diameter of the round opening is larger than the width of the channel and smaller than the largest diameter of a coned portion of the conical washer.

The fan is thus capable of drawing air from the top surface of the body supporting layer, through the removable portion, through the one or more air conduits in the upper base layer, and exhausting the air into the bottom layer. Methods of actively ventilating a support cushion are also provided.

Abstract: A headphone case is provided that serves as both a case for storing headphones and other objects, and a cushion to be worn around the neck. The case has either a fixed cushion located on different parts of the case, or a material that can be inflated, where the material has an outside layer comprising a cushion material. The case has two halves, a top half and lower half, which are held together by one or more hinges or other means. The headphone case can have a control unit for electronically inflating the material on the case, and for controlling units inside the case for controlling an amount and intensity of heat and vibration. Software can be uploaded to the control unit via a USB port or a Bluetooth antenna for controlling the different functions of the case. An application running on a phone, tablet or computer may control the functions of the various units inside the case.

Abstract: An improved closeable lid for a beverage container is described. The lid uses a base, a flanged gasket, a valve and a knob to allow a user to control the flow of liquid from the beverage container. The flanged gasket surrounds the base with radially extending flanges that conforms to the interior of the beverage container, creating a seal. The valve moves vertically to engage and disengage the seal created by mating the valve face to the valve seat. The vertical movement of the valve is modulated by the rotation of a knob that is connected to the valve that provides a threaded shaft. The user can consume liquid from the beverage container as a result one or more fluid apertures through the base allowing for the passage of fluids from the beverage container past the valve and through base to the user. When the knob is rotated to the closed position, the valve creates a seal preventing the flow of liquid through the fluid apertures of the base.

Attaching the assembly to a bottom surface of the drinking glass includes applying a waterproof adhesive to one or both of the assembly and the the the bottom surface of the drinking glass and applying sufficient pressure between the assembly and the drinking glass to spread the adhesive as a layer over at least part of an upper surface of the assembly.

The power transfer system can advantageously enable neighboring tree trunk sections to be electrically connected without the need to rotationally align the tree trunk sections. Power distribution systems can be disposed within the trunk sections. The power distribution systems can comprise a male end, a female end, or both. The male ends can have prongs and the female ends can have voids. The prongs can be inserted into the voids to electrically connect the power distribution systems of neighboring tree trunk sections. In some embodiments, the prongs and voids are designed so that the prongs of one power distribution system can engage the voids of another power distribution system without the need to rotationally align the tree trunk sections.

Abstract: Room darkening window curtain rod assemblies that include a curtain rod and two bracket assemblies, each including a removable magnetic finial are disclosed. Each bracket assembly includes a wraparound leg that extends perpendicularly from an axis of the curtain rod toward a wall or window frame upon which the assembly is installed. The removable finials allow a curtain to be drawn onto the wraparound leg of each bracket assembly from the curtain rod to provide curtain wraparound regions. The curtain wraparound regions reduce or prevent light from entering into a room, and allow the bracket assemblies to be hidden. Once the curtain is extended into the wraparound regions, the magnetic finials are magnetically attached to the bracket assemblies with portions of the curtain located therebetween.
