Abstract: An extra-cardiovascular implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) having a high voltage therapy module is configured to control a high voltage charging circuit to charge a capacitor to a pacing voltage amplitude to deliver charge balanced pacing pulses. The capacitor is chargeable to a shock voltage amplitude that is greater than the pacing voltage amplitude. The ICD is configured to enable switching circuitry of the high voltage therapy module to discharge the capacitor to deliver a first pulse having a first polarity and a leading voltage amplitude corresponding to the pacing voltage amplitude for pacing the patient's heart via a pacing electrode vector selected from extra-cardiovascular electrodes. The high voltage therapy module delivers a second pulse after the first pulse. The second pulse has a second polarity opposite the first polarity and balances the electrical charge delivered during the first pulse.

Abstract: A motion analysis method includes a normal mode in which first motion information in a swing is measured by using an output from a sensor unit in a state in which a standing still action is detected, and a simple mode in which second motion information in a swing is measured by using an output from the sensor unit in a state in which the standing still action is not detected, and the number of analysis items is smaller than in the normal mode.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for measuring a subject's ability to perform a varying range of barrier reaches is provided. The apparatus includes a barrier having a substantially horizontal upper surface at a height above a base point. A sensing and recording device is positioned adjacent to the barrier for sensing and recording a plurality of data points. A marking device for grasping by the subject engages the sensing and recording device for creating the plurality of data points as the subject bends forward against the barrier. The data points are recorded and converted into an interpolated arc reflecting the subject's reach at the barrier height.

Abstract: A system, method and apparatus for geospatial tracking and analysis of sports activities. A plurality of wireless electronic sensors with geo location capabilities communicate via a wireless network to track sporting activities. The system eliminates the subjectivity in performance data tracking and analysis by relying on autonomous sensors with geocode technologies and related software. Once the sensors are in place and linked to the geospatial sports tracking software, performance data is nearly 100% accurate to identify players, game equipment, and determine their exact latitude and longitude positions in relation to other players or objects on same playing field. Output reports are digitally available instantly, and immediately upon completion of a collection period or the end of the game.

Abstract: Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture for measuring and adjusting physical resistance for athletic activities and fitness equipment are disclosed. An example system includes a user-wearable sensor to measure a first level of physical effort during a first athletic activity using fitness equipment and to generate sensor data indicative of the measured first level of physical effort. The example system also includes a controller to receive the sensor data to perform a comparison of the sensor data and data from second athletic activity indicative of a second level of physical effort, and automatically generate a control signal to adjust a setting of the fitness equipment based on the comparison.

Abstract: The present invention relates to golf balls, specifically to a golf ball comprising an aerodynamic pattern having novel shaped dimple structures which reduce the variation in airflow turning angle thereby improving the golf ball's flight performance. The dimple structures have a conical shaped base with a dimple in the center and reduced or no flat land areas between the dimples.

Abstract: Golf balls having a multi-layered core made of a foamed composition are provided. The core preferably has a foam inner core (center) and surrounding thermoset or thermoplastic outer core layer. Preferably, a polyurethane foam composition is used to form the foam center. The foam inner core preferably includes a fully-foamed center region and a partially or completely-collapsed foam outer region. The hardness of the fully-foamed region is different than the hardness of the collapsed foam region. Non-foamed thermoset or thermoplastic materials such as polybutadiene rubbers or ethylene acid copolymer ionomer may be used to form the outer core layer. The ball further includes a cover that may be multi-layered. The foam cores have good resiliency.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a toy deformable to several structural configurations. The toy includes two endcaps connected by a plurality of pliable ribs. The toy may be deformed into a low-profile configuration by pressing the endcaps together, the ribs bending outward to accommodate the deformation. The toy may be deformed into a high-profile configuration by squeezing the ribs together, the endcaps being pushed apart to accommodate the deformation. While pressure is not applied to the toy, the toy may enter a non-deformed configuration wherein the ribs and the toy as a whole take on a substantially spherical form. A retention device may also be utilized to confine the toy to a specific configuration.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to a sealed pressure container, which solves the problem in the prior art that a pump is required for providing air pressure in the container. The conventional product is inconvenient for carrying and is expensive. The sealed pressure container includes a body and a winding member. The body has an open end and a flexible portion, the flexible portion is at least one part of the body at one side where the open end is formed. The flexible portion can be wound around the winding member from the open end to provide air pressure in the body by compressing the air inside the body. Thus, without using a pump, tennis balls can be prevented from releasing pressure by keeping in the low-cost sealed pressure container. The sealed pressure container is convenient for carrying and operating and has reduced manufacture cost.
