The computing device may generate, from the data for the same road segment, an overall indication of the condition of the road segment, which may include a recommendation to vehicles approaching the road segment. Additionally, the computing device may receive a request from a computing device within a vehicle approaching the road segment to display vehicle data. The overall indication for the road segment may then be displayed on a user interface of the computing device.

Drones may be paired with hosts based on any number of factors, such as whether the host is traveling on a route that corresponds with reaching the intended destination, whether the host is capable of recharging the drone, and whether the drone has sufficient power to reach the intended destination. By enabling drones to piggyback with hosts, the required traveling range for a drone may be reduced.

A drive unit changes a light emission state of each of the plurality of LED chips. The drive unit is connected with a control unit of the smartphone through a connection point and the connection point. The drive unit changes the light emission state of each LED chip in accordance with an operating state of the smartphone operated by the control unit.

    Abstract: Various embodiments are presented herein that may reduce the workload of a GPU tasked with delivering frames of video data to a display generated by a 3D application executing within a system or computing platform. 3D applications executing within the system may generate new frames of video content at a specified frame rate known as frames per second (FPS). These frames are then delivered to a display communicatively coupled with the system for rendering. Every display has a refresh rate specified in cycles per second or Hertz (Hz). Vertical Synchronization (VSYNC) is a setting that synchronizes the frames per second (FPS) of a given application with the display's refresh rate. Forcing VSYNC on the application while the system is operating on battery power may reduce the workload on the GPU when the FPS is greater than the refresh rate resulting in greater battery life.
