  • Patent number: 10335698
Abstract: A tumbling toy system where a tumble pin tumbles in a guide track. The guide track has two sides and a bottom. The two sides are a first distance apart at a first elevation height. Each tumble pin rests in the guide track and is free to tumble end-over-end. As the tumble pin tumbles, the ends of the tumble pin cyclically contact the bottom of the guide track. Each tumble pin tapers from a maximum diameter at its midplane to a minimum diameter at either end. The maximum diameter of the tumble pin is larger than the distance between the two sides of the guide track. This causes the tumble pin to cyclically contact the two sides of the guide track as it tumbles. When the tumble pin contacts the sides of the guide track, the tumble pin becomes temporarily suspended between the two sides and tumbles in place.

  • Patent number: 10335708
Abstract: A system and method to generate steam from a feed water stream does so in a liquid pool zone of a vessel as the stream comes into contact with a heating medium that is less volatile than the feed water stream. To keep the pool hot, the heating medium can be recirculated through a heater of a pump-around loop or a heater can be placed in the liquid pool. As the feed water stream is vaporized or partially vaporized, any solids or unvaporized water present in the feed water stream come out of the stream and move into the heating medium. These solids and the unvaporized water may be further removed from the heating medium in the pool or in the pump-around loop. The heat exchange surface does not contact the feed water to generate steam.

  • Patent number: 10335712
Abstract: A method and apparatus for extracting compounds from raw materials with an extraction column is provided. The control and manipulation of pressure exerted and contained within the extraction vessel or column may be vital in obtaining a certain flavor profile or intensity of the effluent extracted from the raw materials. As such, the method may include directing a flow of pressurized solvent into a base of the extraction column and utilizing the flow of pressurized solvent to create a pressure gradient applied to the raw materials. The method may further include compressing the raw materials with hydraulic compression. As the raw materials become further compressed, frictional heating may result allowing most, if not all, of the volatile aromatic heat sensitive compounds and constituencies to be extracted depending on the pressure strength applied to the raw materials.

  • Patent number: 10335714
Abstract: The liquid recovery filter includes several embodiments, each of which provides for the recovery of liquid otherwise trapped within the filter housing and element. Each embodiment includes a series of vents, purge ports, and passages that communicate fluidly with the filter housing and filter core. Certain vents and purge ports are initially opened following filtration operations to allow pressurized gas to flow into the housing, thereby forcing residual unfiltered liquid through the filter. When this has been accomplished, another vent is opened to the filter core to allow filtered liquid to flow from the downstream or outlet passage from the filter core. Some embodiments have the filter outlet located above the filter, and include a downstream drain port extending from the filter core. The downstream drain port provides for the recovery of filtered liquid when the vent or purge port is opened in these embodiments.

Abstract: An exhaust gas purification material according to the present invention is provided with a particulate filter 10 that traps particulate matter in exhaust gas and contains an SCR catalyst for adsorbing ammonia and reducing NOx in the exhaust gas. A maximum allowable adsorption amount of ammonia adsorbable by the filter 10 differs between an upstream portion 10a of the filter 10 including an exhaust gas inlet-side end 10c, and a downstream portion 10b of the filter 10 including an exhaust gas outlet-side end 10d. The SCR catalyst contained in the upstream portion 10a and the SCR catalyst contained in the downstream portion 10b are qualitatively different. A ratio (B/A) of a maximum allowable adsorption amount of ammonia A in the upstream portion 10a and a maximum allowable adsorption amount of ammonia B in the downstream portion 10b satisfies the relationship 1.1?(B/A)?2.
