Abstract: An elevating cage system includes floor panels for a walk surface that can pivot upward to expose a portion of a container disposed below the platform. Each floor panel has a latch that pivots to engage a cage railing surrounding the platform and hold the floor panel in an open position. The latch is weighted about a pivot so that when the panel is pivoted to a completely open position, the latch pivots under its own weight to engage a stop so that the latch is disposed in an orientation to engage the handrail and hold the panel in the open position until an operator releases the latch. When the panel pivots to its closed position, the latch's weight balance about its pivot causes the latch to rotate until the latch engages the stop and is held in a stowed orientation in which the latch is entirely below a plane of an upper surface of the panel.

The wall brace system has a structural member, a retainer, a mounting assembly, a load member, a jack, and/or a locking member. A jack and/or locking member are operatively coupled between the structural member and the mounting assembly. The jack functions to exert a force against the structural member, directly or through the load member, in order to force the structural member toward the wall for shifting the wall (e.g., outwardly). The locking member functions to lock the structural member in place with respect to the mounting assembly after the jack positions the structural member. Thereafter, the jack is removed from the mounting assembly.

Abstract: Improvements in a hasp are disclosed. The hasp allows for locking the hasp with a cylindrical lock to operate on a door such as, but not limited to, a garage door, a roll-up door or a shed door. This configuration allows for upgrade or replacement of these types of door locks without requiring re-design or replacement of the door. The cylindrical locks offer a greater protection because they can't be “picked” using traditional lock picking tools. This makes the lock safer from people that may try to break into the door. The cylindrical lock fits primarily within the hasp. This prevents a person from grinding through the lock or shackle. The shackle can be configured with just the circular opening for the key visible. It can be further enclosed to prevent infestation from bugs such as hornets that can fill the inside of the hasp with dirt.

Abstract: A lid stay formed from a housing slidably coupled to a base. The housing has a coupler section for securing said housing to a fixed object, and a connector section for securing the housing to the base. The base is formed from a cylindrical shaped tube defining an interior chamber, having an insertion section constructed and arranged to slidably receive said housing, but prevent the connector section of the housing from passing therethrough. An expanded coil spring is positioned within the interior chamber to maintain the housing and base in an expanded position. The lid stay is for use with a storage container base having a lid pivotally attached thereto. The lid stay biases the lid in an open position and provides resistance when closing the lid.

Abstract: A control device relates to a vehicle having an automatically opening and/or automatically closing lid with at least one control switch in the vicinity of the lid and with a programmable electronic control unit. The control switch may be operated arbitrarily contactlessly in the form of a proximity sensor and when operated generates an operation request signal which is an input signal to the control unit. The control unit is configured in such a manner that defined environmental conditions may be evaluated for the detection of a risk of salinity and humidity and that, given the presence of a risk of salt and water, an appropriate adaptation may be made to the evaluation of the operation request signal. Preferably, at least one outside temperature below a predefined threshold and information indicating the presence of moisture are defined as the environmental conditions to be evaluated for detecting the risk of salt and water.
