Abstract: An arm cover glove device for protecting the removal of an intravenous access device includes a sleeve portion, a glove portion and a securing system. The sleeve portion is configured to go around an arm of a patient. The sleeve portion includes an open top end configured to receive and cover an arm of the patient into a hollow interior of the sleeve portion, and a bottom end. The glove portion is connected to the bottom end of the sleeve portion. The glove portion is configured to receive and cover the hand of the patient. The sleeve portion and the glove portion are configured to cover the intravenous access device while connected to the arm or hand of the patient. The securing system is configured to keep the patient from removing the arm cover glove device.

Abstract: Examples are disclosed that relate to a wearable device configured to physically prevent a user from interacting with an identified hazard. One disclosed example provides a wearable device including a motion-restricting system configured to restrict movement of a skeletal joint when activated, a logic subsystem, and memory storing instructions executable by the logic subsystem to receive sensor data from one or more sensors, based at least on the sensor data received, determine whether the wearable device is likely to be in an unsafe state, and when the wearable device is determined likely to be in the unsafe state, send a control signal to the motion-restricting system to activate the motion-restricting system.

Abstract: Aspects herein are directed to a pocket structure that facilitates the secure storage of items stowed within the pocket structure. The pocket structure includes inner and outer pocket layers and a funnel-shaped structure positioned in the space between the inner and outer pocket layers. The funnel-shaped structure comprises an inlet opening that forms an opening to the pocket structure and an outlet opening that is in communication with the space between the inner and outer pocket layers. The outlet opening has a smaller circumference compared to the inlet opening.

Abstract: A detachable waterproof pocket may include front and rear surfaces made from an impermeable material and forming a receptacle having an open top portion. Interlocking elements, on the front and rear surfaces, may engage with each other to close the top portion of the receptacle with a watertight seal. A first attachment element, above the interlocking elements on one of the surfaces forming the receptacle, may engage with a complimentary second attachment element on a garment in order to attach the waterproof pocket to the garment. The interlocking elements may comprise complimentary tongues and grooves. The complimentary first and second attachment elements may comprise complimentary zipper chains of an open-ended zipper. The garment may be a swimsuit and the complimentary second attachment element may be located on an inner surface of the swimsuit. The swimsuit may include a waistband and the second attachment element may be sewn into said waistband.

Abstract: A method for making synthetic hair extensions is provided. According to the method, raw material including polypropylene resin is mixed, the raw material is extruded to produce polypropylene yarn, some of the polypropylene yarn is formed into a hank, the ends of the yarn are pressed between the sheets of a press such that the ends abut a lip of one of the sheets, and the hank of yarn with the press is passed through a conveyor furnace to relax the yarn. Also provided is a mixture for extrusion into polypropylene yarn. The mixture comprises polypropylene resin, 2-8% magnesium stearate, 3-8% dye, and optionally 1-4% flame retardant (percentages by weight relative to weight of polypropylene resin).

In one embodiment, first and second comb teeth rows are respectively mounted in parallel on corresponding laterally spaced apart parallel side regions of the base (typically on a top flat base surface). A coloration/treatment process is engaged on captured extension hair in the lateral space between the first and the second comb teeth rows. A floor or table stand may be provided with a mounting coupler on the bottom of the base. A hair extension storage bag is elongated, defining a vertical bag cavity with an upper edge lip closure system. A horizontal bar with a single comb teeth row is mounted in the upper region of the bag cavity. Comb teeth capture extension hair which falls down into the vertical bag cavity. A vertical closure system is also included.

Abstract: An advanced warning light system in a motorcycle has a brake light comprising a plurality of light emitting diodes (LED) wherein each LED is configured to illuminate a first color when a motorcycle brake is depressed and wherein only a subset of LEDs are configured to illuminate when the motorcycle is decelerating not in response to the brake being depressed.

Abstract: A safety helmet is disclosed having a shell and a comfort liner coupled to the inner surface of the shell. The comfort liner is constrained to the front part and to the rear part of the shell, and the helmet has a webbing arranged between the shell and the comfort liner along the upper median portion of the comfort liner. The webbing has a front end constrained to the front part of the comfort liner and a rear end to move the webbing with respect to the shell and cause consequently the change of the overall dimensions of the comfort liner inside the helmet. The webbing is constrained, with respect to the shell, in an operative position corresponding to the overall dimensions of the comfort liner inside the helmet.

Abstract: A helmet having an outer liner and an inner liner is disclosed. The inner liner is positioned at least partially inside the outer liner. The helmet includes at least one chin strap anchored to the outer liner and passing through an opening in the inner liner. The helmet further includes a plurality of return springs, each having a first end coupled to the outer liner, and a second end distal to the first end and coupled to the inner liner. The return springs bias the inner liner to a first position with respect to the outer liner. The inner liner is slidably coupled to the outer liner through the plurality of return springs and slidably movable relative to the outer liner between the first position and a second position where the inner liner and outer liner are rotated away from the first position.

Abstract: A protecting helmet is disclosed having a rigid outer shell, a front opening in the rigid shell for the face of a user, a protective visor rotatable between a lowered position intercepting the front opening and a raised position disengaged from the front opening, and a raising/lowering mechanism of the protective visor. The raising/lowering mechanism has a base member, movably or integrally constrained to, or made in a single piece with, the outer shell and arranged in a side position with respect to the front opening and a fastening pin constrained in a respective opening of the protective visor. The base member has a seat adapted to rotatably and reversibly house the fastening pin and an elastic countering member for the fastening pin. The base member has an unlocking device configured to act on the elastic countering member to release the fastening pin from the seat.

Abstract: A watch band is disclosed. The watch band maintains a substantially constant tension throughout changes in its length while worn by a user. Such changes in length may occur automatically to accommodate changes in the size and circumference of a user's wrist as they move their wrist normally. By maintaining a constant tension, the watch band also maintains a constant force on the user's wrist, and causes a watch body attached to the watch band to also maintain a constant force on the user's wrist. This can increase a user's comfort, since the watch will not get tighter or constrict their wrist as they straighten and bend their wrist. It can also help optimize operation of any sensors in the watch band or watch body that benefit from being held against the user's wrist with a constant force, such as some physiological sensors.

Abstract: A hair retaining device comprising a rod with two elongate helical coils surrounding a portion of the rod. The coils are attached only at one end of the rod and are offset from one another by 180 degrees. In use, the end of the rod is slid through a desired hair style using a weaving motion to pick up small portions of the hair. Once the rod is in place, it is screwed into a user's hair and the hair strands are retained. To remove the device, the rod is unscrewed to loosen from the hair strands and the rod is then pulled out of user's hair.

The at least one elongate member may be a single elongate member so the entire hanging device is one continuous flow. The hanging device may further comprise a fastener fitted through the attachment gap to affix the hanger device to a wall, mirror, or other vertical surface.

In operation, the heel scrubbing device is placed and positioned at the convenience of the user who during bathing can rub the user's heels and the underside of the user's feet over the surface of the scrubbing component to clean and exfoliate.

The apparatus includes a flexible containment vessel, having a wide top opening, a throat constriction, and a bottom containment and mixing region. The interior of the vessel is formed of a smooth rubberized material while the exterior has a textured surface to provide a frictional gripping surface to facilitate mixing of the beauty product within the vessel. Abstract: A dual brush assembly for cleaning a cooking surface. The dual brush assembly includes a handle assembly, a handguard assembly, a bristleless scraper, and a scouring pad assembly. The handguard assembly is wider than the handle assembly to protect the hand of the user. The handguard assembly further comprises a first segment and a second segment and is secured to the handle assembly such that the dual brush assembly generally forms a triangle shape. The triangle shape allows the dual brush assembly to achieve approximately equal leverage when using either the bristleless scraper or the scouring pad assembly, achieved by orientating either the bristleless scraper or the scouring pad assembly towards the cooking surface. The scouring pad assembly is further removable and replaceable such that a user can replace it when it becomes worn down due to usage over time.
