Abstract: Technologies for executing a virtual character development application using machine learning are described herein. In typical simulation applications, a user may be enabled to create a virtual character and navigate a virtual world. A typical simulation application may accept inputs from the user, determine actions initiated by the user based on the inputs, determine subsequent outcomes of the user-initiated actions, and mold the simulation according to the outcomes. However, most outcomes may be predetermined and predictable by design. In contrast, some embodiments may include a server configured to execute a virtual character development application in conjunction with one or more client devices. A user may utilize a client device to create and develop a virtual character within the application. The user may be enabled to provide inputs to the virtual character development application, and the artificial component may process the input and extract information associated with the virtual character.

Abstract: A method for an online video game or application service system includes running a video game or application on an application host server at a data center, an uncompressed video stream being produced therefrom. The uncompressed video stream is encoded into compressed video stream, which is then transmitted over the Internet to an output client device of a user. The output client device decompresses the compressed video stream and displays live video on a screen. User control input transmitted from an input client device is delivered to the application host server. The user control input includes game or application commands. The input client device is associated with the user and is separate from the output client device. Abstract: Locomotion-based motion sickness has long been a complaint amongst virtual reality gamers and drone pilots. Traditional head-mounted display experiences require a handheld controller (e.g. thumb stick, touchpad, gamepad, keyboard, etc.) for locomotion. Teleportation compromises immersive presence and smooth navigation leads to sensory imbalances that can cause dizziness and nausea (even when using room-scale sensor systems). Designers have therefore had to choose between comfort and immersion. The invention is a hands-free, body-based navigation technology that puts the participant's body in direct control of movement through virtual space. Participants lean forward to advance in space; lean back to reverse; tip left or right to strafe/sidestep; and rotate to look around. In some embodiments, the more a participant leans, the faster they go.

According to an embodiment, the heating vessel is configured to be purged, and the distillation system has a gas purge system configured to provide purging gas flow into the heating vessel. The purging gas flow prevents flammable gasses from entering the heating vessel and therefore there is no need for the heating vessel or the heater therein to be classified as explosion proof. In some implementations, the heater is an electrical heater in direct contact with the distillation vessel. Abstract: A filter system can include a replaceable filter cartridge having a spinner element structured to swirl a mixed flow of compressible fluid and oil, as well as an end cap used to enclose an open interior of a filter media of the filter cartridge. The filter cartridge can be configured to interface with and be supported by a mesh holder. A housing can be attached over the filter cartridge to enclose the system and create a flow path for a mixed flow of compressible fluid and oil. The replaceable filter cartridge can be constructed of materials suitable for disposal in a waste incineration process. The mesh holder can be inserted on a combo-block and secured in place by a compression fitting. A stand pipe can extend into the interior of the filter media and be coupled with a central passage of the mesh holder.

A float being substantially plate-shaped and having substantially the same inner diameter as an inner diameter of the inner case is provided movably in the vertical direction in the inner case, and in the float, a hole through which the heater is inserted is formed. Gas is enclosed in a space surrounded by the inner case and the float. The length in the vertical direction of the inner case is smaller than the length in the vertical direction of the heater. In addition, when the float is positioned at a lower end of the inner case, a gap exists between the float and a bottom surface of a filter case.
