Abstract: The molten metal heat-exchanger for heating water comprises a recipient containing a metal with a low melting point in its interior, with a tube immersed in the metal and in the interior of the recipient through which the water to be heated circulates. To heat the water a heat source is applied to the recipient heating the metal therein until it changes to a liquid state. If the temperature of the metal in the liquid state is lower than the boiling temperature of water, the exchanger produces hot water, whereas if the temperature of the liquid metal is higher than the boiling temperature of water, the exchanger can produce hot water or steam. The metal to be used in the molten metal heat-exchanger is a metal or metal alloy with a melting temperature of close to 100° C., with gallium, which has a melting temperature of 30° C. and a boiling temperature of 2204° C., being ideal for the application, although currently existing and future metal alloys may be used in the molten metal heat-exchanger.

After 3D printing, an article may have internal passages formed from bonded powder and said passages may contain unbonded powder that needs to be removed before further use of/processing of the article. To remove this unbonded powder, the article is filled with a cleaning fluid and vibrated. The cleaning fluid is then pumped out of the article and past a sensor that generates a magnetic field. The sensor detects the presence of powder particles in the fluid by detecting a perturbation of the magnetic field caused by said particles. The fluid is then filtered and returned to a reservoir for use. The sensor may indicate the article is sufficiently clean when a detected concentration of particles in the fluid drops below a threshold.

Abstract: A target turner and associated components and methods. The target turner is configured to hold a target to be shot by a shooter. The target turner is configured to hold the target in a shooting orientation for being shot by the shooter and in a non-shooting orientation for hiding a face of the target from the user. A turning assembly of the target turner includes a crank wheel and two turning wheels. The crank wheel drives the first turning wheel for turning the target toward the non-shooting orientation and drives the second turning wheel for turning the target toward the shooting orientation. A target support of the target turner is configured to disconnect from the turning assembly to avoid damage to the turning assembly if outside force is applied to the target support.

Abstract: A shaped charge liner having a plurality of metal powders including at least one high purity level metal having a purity level of at least about 99.5%. The metal powders and high purity level metal are compressed to form the shaped charge liner, and the shaped charge liner is for installation in a shaped charge. Once installed in the shaped charge, the shaped charge liner is for being thermally softened so that it has a porosity level of less than about 20 volume % and is able to maintain its mechanical integrity when thermally softened. A shaped charge including such liners is disclosed, as well as a method of perforating a wellbore using such shaped charge having such liners positioned therein.

Abstract: The present invention provides an expandable broadhead in which the inner surface of the blades contacts a band on the ferrule. The ferrule includes forward blade stops to securely align the blades in a closed position. The ferrule also includes rearward blade stops to securely align the blades in a fully deployed position. The blades can easily rotate to the fully deployed position when the broadhead contacts and penetrates a target. The kinetic energy used to deploy the blades is reduced given the angle of the blades and the angle of rotation of the blades.

Abstract: A system for manual repositioning a vehicle seat includes a rail and complementary slide, a seat moving orthogonally to the rail and a pivoting seatback. A slide sensor has first and second sensor portions integral to the slide and rail. The slide sensor measures distances between the first and the second sensor portions. A control unit connects to the first and/or second sensor portions and receives a distance signal proportional to sensor positions. A memory element stores a distance signal in a selected position. A signalling unit stores a preferred position of the slide relative to the chassis, measures relative movement between the slide and rail, compares the distance signal determined by the slide sensor in an actual position of the slide with a preferred distance signal, and emits a notification signal when actual preferred positions are coincident. Other arrangements are for height and reclination adjustment.
