Abstract: In some embodiments, a natural gas leak detection system generates display content including indicators of remote and local potential leak source areas situated on a map of an area of a gas concentration measurement survey performed by a vehicle-borne device. The remote area may be shaped as a wedge extending upwind from an associated gas concentration measurement point. The local area graphically represents a potential local leak source area situated around the gas concentration measurement point, and having a boundary within a predetermined distance (e.g. 10 meters) of the gas concentration measurement point. The local area may be represented as a circle, ellipse, or other shape, and may include an area downwind from the measurement point. Size and/or shape parameters of the local area indicator may be determined according to survey vehicle speed and direction data, and/or wind speed and direction data characterizing the measurement point.

Abstract: A method of testing the seal of transportable containers, such as suitcases, trunks, and cases, which form inside them, in at least one closed configuration, at least one compartment to be seal tested, the method includes the following steps: accommodating a container to be tested, in the closed configuration, in a saturation chamber; dispensing a tracer gas in the saturation chamber; and lowering the pressure value inside the compartment. The method further includes waiting for a preset time, keeping the saturation chamber closed; drawing an air sample from the compartment; and measuring the actual concentration of tracer gas in the air sample drawn from the compartment. Thus, an actual concentration higher than a reference value, correlated to the normal concentration of tracer gas in the atmosphere, can indicate the entry of the tracer gas in the compartment and a condition of at least potential defectiveness of the seal of the compartment of the container.

Abstract: A parameter similarity method for test simulation conditions of an aerodynamic heating environment is disclosed. With respect to the requirement that the adiabatic wall enthalpy and the cold-wall heat flux are equal in the simulation test of the aerodynamic heating environment, a method that can ensure the similarity of ground test parameters and flight parameters without the equal adiabatic wall enthalpy is proposed, and solves the problems of relying on the equal adiabatic wall enthalpy and making it difficult to accurately simulate the real aerodynamic heating environment in the current test simulation method, and provides guarantee for heat transfer and ablation test research of thermal protection/insulation material under the high temperature aerodynamic heating environment. The test conditions are not affected by the value of the adiabatic wall enthalpy. According to the method, most test devices can simulate the aerodynamic heating environment with high enthalpy.

Abstract: In an imaging device, and an operation method and an imaging control program of the imaging device, it is possible to acquire a captured image by suppressing a decrease in image quality caused by droplets attached to a container. Before a heating unit heats a container in which an observation target is housed, and an imaging unit performs main imaging for the observation target housed in the container, a pre-measurement unit measures brightness of light transmitting through or reflected by the container. In a case where a value of the brightness measured by a pre-measurement unit is smaller than a standard value set in advance, the control unit causes the imaging unit to perform the main imaging after droplets attached to the container are removed by increasing a temperature of the container by the heating unit or by keeping the temperature of the container constant by the heating unit.
