The headband can include an intermediate layer disposed between the exterior panel and the interior panel. The headband can include a silicone member coupled to the intermediate layer. The silicone member can extend along a longitudinal axis of the headband. At least a portion of the silicone member can be disposed in the opening of the interior panel.

Abstract: A head covering with a band portion in a shape of a flat strip or loop and a plurality of flat members that are connected to or a part of the band is disclosed. The flat members projects toward a top side of the band. An outer surface of the flat members includes or is made of a material that can be fastened to a certain corresponding type of material. Thereby, the invention provides a foundation for hairpieces having a fastening component that corresponds to a fastening component used in the invention. The flat members as a whole generally cover a scalp of a head but not completely, exposing the scalp through gaps between flat members. Especially, a top portion or a crown of a scalp is generally exposed due to an open-top construction of the head covering. However, as a single hairpiece is fastened to multiple flat members, the hairpiece in turn works to hold the multiple flat members together.

The visor assembly includes a visor pivotally connected to the helmet shell and having an inner surface facing the cavity when in the lowered position. The visor assembly further includes a breath guard interface provided below the visor and a breath guard which has a visor interface connected to the breath guard interface of the visor assembly. The breath guard includes a flexible member connected to and extending from the visor interface and a contact surface shaped and configured to engage the wearer's face around the nose and mouth for deflecting humid air away from the inner surface of the visor. The flexible member has a channel extending along the visor interface having a substantially V-shaped cross-section configured to allow the flexible member to be deformed when raising the visor.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a shoe midsole structure and a method for manufacturing the same. The shoe midsole has unique hollow particle units that may be additively manufactured without any support structure. Each of the hollow particle units has a specific thickness and a hollow interior. A housing layer of each of the hollow particle units has a plurality of openings, a plurality of planar annular portions surrounding each of the openings, and a plurality of curved portions connecting adjacent planar annular portions. The plurality of openings are disposed in pair on the housing layer symmetrically with respect to the geometric centroid of the hollow particle units. A plurality of hollow particle units are arranged into a multi-laminate structure in the shoe midsole. Some hollow particle units are bent when a compression force or a shearing force is applied during use.

Abstract: An orthotic footwear system including a removable outsole, a removable reinforced hollow midsole attached to the top of the outsole, and a removable insole attached to the top of the midsole. A removable metatarsal pad can be attached to the top of the insole, and removable support inserts can be attached around the insole for additional support of problematic areas. Support inserts can be used to support the arch area, the heel area, or both. Each of the removable parts can be interchanged with parts of the same type having different ergonomic characteristics. The user can change the parts of the orthotic to suit their needs. Further, the support inserts can be used apart from the rest of the system, with any insole configured to receive them.
